βWhere to start? There are so many positives to say about Dog Trouble. All the staff are amazing, but Jo really is incredible; her knowledge is invaluable. She has a very calm, non judgmental yet confident aura. Our dog has been going to Dog Trouble for over a year now, heβs done workshops and boarded and we honestly couldnβt be happier with the facilities and expertise. We fully support everything Dog Trouble stand for and are so thankful for all the help weβve received so far.β
βReally amazing views. Absolutely magical place to go early in the morning. Views in the summer would be amazing. Just been in March early morning after heavy rain and was easy going. Yes lots of area is private but this place should be on anybody's to do list. I wish it was a bit closer to my home as perfect place to go to clear the mind.β
βLovely place to take kid's, 2 car parks to choice from. Sand pit, large park, mini train, ice cream etcβ
βThis is a great place to visit in Caversham to relax and learn about the regions history Caversham Court Gardens is located in Caversham, UK directly north across the bridge from Reading on the north side of the River Thames. It is a delightful gem that seamlessly combines history, natural beauty, and tranquility. This riverside oasis offers a serene escape from the bustle of urban life, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll, a picnic, some quiet contemplation, or to learn some history about the area. The gardens are steeped in history, with their origins dating back to the 12th century. The site was once the location of a medieval manor, and remnants of the Tudor-era house still stand, adding an air of historical charm to the surroundings. It is a picturesque setting that provides breathtaking views of the river and the lush greenery on its banks. The well-maintained lawns and flowerbeds are a testament to the care put into preserving this natural haven. Visitors will also appreciate the diverse plantings, including colorful flowers and mature trees, creating a serene atmosphere. The peacefulness of the gardens is enhanced by the soothing sound of the river flowing gently by. There is a small building that serves as a tea shop and is manned by volunteers. With its historical significance, riverside location, and well-tended grounds, Caversham Court Gardens offers a delightful escape for those seeking a peaceful connection with nature and a taste of local history. It's a place where the past and present harmoniously converge in a setting that invites reflection and relaxation.β
βCamped out here, great for the ridgeway and if doing king alfreds way, stunning views. Bit tired in places but that adds to the charmβ
βA beautiful spot at its best late in evening warmth..and spring delights in abundance...β
βReally lovely and fast service we had on our visit today. Sonia and Sarah were very friendly and helpful especially when I accidentally spilt my drink on my Food. Would recommend Thanks for having usβ
βThe staff were polite, fast, and super helpful. Really appreciate the great customer service!ββ
βGreat little dog walk area, nice view points, not a large route and it's very flat and easy to walk, few ducks and swans in the lake which is lovely,on a sunny day it looked gorgeous. Very well sheltered in the trees too so not too hot despite good weather. Carpark isn't huge but I found there was still plenty of space despite it being prime walking time.β
βStopped here for a pint a couple of times... Great pub garden, lots of seating and nicely set out. Tables and sunshades are plentiful, and there are big and small tables, private areas and loads of character. Drinks are tasty and reasonably priced. Also plenty of parking and food looked delicious!β
βShanghai is our go-to Chinese takeaway since we moved locally a few years ago. The food is always of a good standard (can vary depending on day of the week) and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The menu is very much standard but really enjoy the salt and chilli ribs and their satay sauce, much more authentic than your standard Chineseβ
βFirst time coming here, and it's exactly what I expected. Fresh water, secure fencing, and parking inside the dog park. Most of all my boy's had a great time.β
βSuch nice meadows with lots of places to sit and walk your dog. It was very clean. It was also nice to see people fishing, canal boats going by and children kayaking.β
βI've been open water swimming here for about 7 years. Also been here for kayaking with my children a few times. Can't fault the service, Zoe and team that run the open water swimming are fab. Always friendly. Great crowd of swimmers down there to. If you ever go solo there is always a friendly face to offer support and advise.β
βAbsolutely amazing place and people! Every single staff member is so lovely and kind they always have the customer in mind. My other half has collected a couple of takeaways before hand but today I saw the restaurant they have - itβs beautiful! The food is second to none. I genuinely have never tasted Indian food like it in the UK! Will be a regular customer from now on.β
βA lovely garden to wander around and enjoy the peace. The fruit in the walled garden looked amazing. Easily kept my grandchildren occupied meandering through the paths. Lovely cafe and tasty icecream!β
βWe used the Hampshire Top Attraction website to get discounted entry. It's a lovely clean attraction with a couple of cafes serving a variety of food and drink. We bought a picnic with us and there were plenty of places to stop and eat at picnic benches in the sun and shade. We didn't walk around until after lunch as our children enjoyed the new tree top adventure park so much. Even though we have young children the tree top adventure was safe for them and mostly big enough for us adults to climb up and walk upright with them, adults are also able to fit on the slides and we weren't the only ones having a go!! The birds are well cared for and we wandered around slowly, our children enjoyed looking into the exhibits and trying to find the different birds. They absolutely loved the exhibits where the birds were free roaming and flying around our heads. All in all it was a slow paced, relaxed day out enjoyed by all.β
βExcellent experience from start to finish! The locksmith replaced all my old locks with modern, secure ones and gave great advice about home safety. Everything looks and feels solid.β
βWhat a love store! Lots of pottery, TONS of high quality cards, and many other gifts. Their garden is colorful and delightful.β
βHidden gem of a nature reserve. Easily accessible and safe to walk around. Perfect fir some gentle exerciseβ
βLots of avian wildlife along this stretch of The Thames. There are plenty of benches to sit on and watch the world go by, as well as extensive lawn areas on which to sunbathe or have picnics in the summer. There's a children's paddling pool and playground. Tennis courts. Public conveniences. Some lovely trees, especially a line of Lombardy poplars, which can be seen on the edge of the eastern boundary. The pedestrian bridge is a worthy addition to the Meadows. There's a nice area right by the end of Wolsey Road where you can sit on benches and watch the boats. There are a lot of bird families on that stretch of the river. They enjoy the floating bird seed, which can be conveniently bought at Homecrafts, the brilliant hardware store in Prospect Street. Christchurch Meadows is a charming, tranquil area to spend time in. The birdlife is wonderful. When I was seriously ill in the hospital, I daydreamed of being here. It's an idyll, a piece of paradise, and I love it.β
βLovely little kiddies park with water splash area and seating and shade for parents/carers, small cafe with drinks, snacks and ice creams and free parking We will be regulars with our grand daughter!β
βThis is a gorgeous spot. It seems to be miles of streams, trees, and trails.Greay place to walk your dog and there is a dog friendly cafe.β
βI went there for brunch with my partner on Friday 24th October. The food was great and the staff were lovely. Great experience will definitely go again.β
βWe had a really enjoyable walk around the walls of the old Roman town of Silchester. The walk is probably about 2.5km long and will take you about an hour to complete. The walls are fairly complete at the southern end where they reach around 20ft high but in other places are much lower. The site has a good number of information boards explaining the history. There is no entry fee and the car park is free (but I did see a notice from the council proposing to charge Β£1.20 for 2 hours)β
βThis pub is now owned by Siren Craft Brewery in Wokingham. Again dog friendly. A warm welcome by the staff and customers alike. Enjoyed my visit, first time I have been here since it had been taken over.β
βTwo of the party of three haven't been here for many years. Can confirm it's still a great family run restaurant (since 1989) greeted by the owner, made to feel welcome and shown to our table. Service was wonderful, its still a lively restaurant with a great atmosphere. Our food was perfect. I am sure we will not leave it so long next time.β
βEnjoyed the special biryani and how the manager interacted with us and talked playfully with my 6 month old daughter. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting Camberleyβ
βOur waitress Gabi was very attentive; she was attentive at all times. Rosaβ
βThe food is amazing!!!!! The flavors are exquisite - not overly done. Perfect amount and blend of spices that are floral and savory and just enough heat. The naan is the best I have ever had. Definitely sets a new bar for me. And the prices are so amazing.β
