Delicious platters in Sheffield

“So for years I’ve been recommending this place as a ‘go to’ for pretty much everything… a relaxed evening with some cocktails on the terrace, light lunch through the day or a meal in the evening for occasions- anyone visiting Sheffield I’ve always recommended this place. It had been a while since I last visited myself, but the other day me and a friend came in for lunch. We’d seen the promotion giving the option of 2 or 3 courses for a set price on a Wednesday. Wow… The hanging kebabs were included (pleasantly surprised), and the quality and freshness of the food was outstanding. So much flavour! The interior in this place is always bright and feels well looked after. Staff were super attentive and approachable, drinks were (and still are) good quality- not like a lot of the cheap sugary cocktails in other local bars. This place truly never disappoints. I’m so glad I can confidently say it’s a consistently LOVELY place to go in Sheffield.”

“Cracking hour or so in the cider hole, Mike the gaffer was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and an all round nice bloke. He even let us select to vinyl fo listen to! Cider selection was excellent and I’m looking forward to my next visit!”

“Lovely cosy sushi restaurant. We dropped in early doors and shared the omakase for 2. It was a great selection of food and served by a knowledgeable and friendly waiter. Would highly recommend a visit. Wish we lived closer to visit again.”

“We recently visited Sheffield and discovered this lovely Taiwanese restaurant, and we're so glad we did! The food here is really delicious and authentic. We tried the fried chicken bento, spicy braised beef brisket, fried tofu, and of course, a classic bubble tea - we loved everything! The food was full of flavor and you can really tell that the owners pour their heart into every dish they make. Plus, the Taiwanese vintage wallpaper inside was such a nice touch. It just reminded me of home. The owner is super friendly and was so helpful especially since we were traveling with our baby. Overall, it was such a wonderful experience at Yum Yum Bites, and we highly recommend it!”

“Absolutely love this place. I come from Ethiopia and know a good Ethiopian restaurant when I find it. Generous portions. If you want to be sure of gluten free food go on Saturday... phone ahead if you want extra to take home. Wonderful variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes. We'll spiced food to delight your taste buds. As a meat eater I thoroughly enjoyed every dish on our platter.”

“Wonderful find. Jo and her team made this small but perfectly lovely cafe a really special visit. Everything was delicious, the toasties were somehow so much better than the usual cafe fare, I think it was the high quality bread and ingredients. The puddings and custard were also excellent, we had the Bakewell pudding and the rhubarb and apple tart, both with (just howI like it, not too runny) custard. Excellent. Finally thanks Jo, you couldn't have made us feel more welcome! Best cafe I've been to for a long time, you can see why it won best Derbyshire cafe this year!”

“Great on a sunny evening outside, but looks nice inside too. Went to 3 pubs in the village over a 2 night work stay. Personal choice puts this top of the list. Modern beer garden areas, great selection of drinks, and service with a smile. A very clean and fresh establishment. QR code on the bar for WiFi. What more could you ask for!”

“Only popped in as 1 of my kids wanted a battered sausage thats it and the other 1 was poorly and didn't want anything the staff member who served me went above and beyond to make sure my poorly child was alright and if he was sure he didn't want anything even offered another battered sausage on the house for him but he didn't want it. Now this is taking care of the community I will always bring my business here from now on food is absolutely delicious aswell”

“Dropped in for lunch today and was greeted by super friendly staff , such a warm and relaxing atmosphere. I had the steak pie with mash and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was, packed with tender steak and bursting with flavour. Couldn’t resist dessert and went for the fruit crumble with custard… absolutely unbelievable! I’m not local, otherwise I’d be back on a regular basis. Thanks for the warm welcome , keep up the amazing service and top quality food!”

“We’ve just had a Family for 12 at Sea Fish and everything was spot on. The food was absolutely delicious and really fresh, and the service was amazing super friendly, welcoming and attentive. A special shoutout to Isla, Helena, Lucy and Ed who looked after us so well and made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. Highly recommend we’ll definitely be back!”

“Second time visiting for afternoon tea for my mum's 70th birthday Josh and the girls went above and beyond , nice calm friendly atmosphere, clean tables and staff couldn't do anymore for you nothing is ever a problem, all of the sandwich sausages rolls cakes were home made and delicious, our tea and coffee were red hot too, we are so grateful and so delighted with today, thank you very much”

“Definitely worth a visit, for it's faded Gothic grandeur, especially if you're a rock muso, some memorable 60s and 70s bands played there. If you can get a tour, even better.”

“I shop here all the time, staff is super friendly and prices are great. The ramen here is the best I’ve had in the uk so far, broth is perfect and generous toppings. The sushi quality is top notch and so affordable compared to most other places. I reccomended coming in earlier to get the pick of sushi as they only have full choice for so long. 10/10!”
