“Probably the best East-Asian food I've eaten at a restaurant. Excellent service and the food came promptly. The chef and owner explained different points on the menu in a very clear manner and gave great recommendations. The food itself was brilliant, the best part was that everything is halal since they don't use any pork and only use halal meat. The atmosphere of the restaurant was excellent. We were actually the only ones there at the time. I personally was a big fan of all the paintings hung up on the walls. The owner even explained the cultural significance behind some of them and what they meant. Overall a 10/10 experience. Would recommend to anyone thinking of going there and I'd definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again.”

We ordered: Starters - Tzakziki, Hummus (both come with traditional Iranian bread) & Dolmeh Mains - Chenjeh (with skin on fries to share) & Spring Chicken (with Zeresk Polo Rice to share) Recommend saving some of the dips from the starter to enjoy with your mains! We went just after Sheffield Wednesday finished their game (it is next to Hillsborough Stadium), but found no issue with transport as it is close to the tram stop. Overall, a great experience!”

“Blown Away by The Garrison, Wickersley! ​I honestly can't say enough good things about our recent meal at The Garrison, Wickersley. The whole experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. ​The restaurant itself is incredibly cosy, and the entire team was just amazing and attentive. A huge shoutout to Joss, who was absolutely brilliant! Due to a last-minute business trip to Sheffield, we needed a table, and he went above and beyond to fit us in and was so helpful in explaining the menu. ​The food quality truly blew me away. Everything tasted superb, proving the dedication to using fantastic quality local produce. The presentation of every dish was top-notch—real eye candy! ​If you're looking for an unforgettable meal with incredible service and a warm atmosphere, you have to try The Garrison. ​We were absolutely delighted and we'll definitely be back soon! “We recently visited Sheffield and discovered this lovely Taiwanese restaurant, and we're so glad we did! The food here is really delicious and authentic. We tried the fried chicken bento, spicy braised beef brisket, fried tofu, and of course, a classic bubble tea - we loved everything! The food was full of flavor and you can really tell that the owners pour their heart into every dish they make. Plus, the Taiwanese vintage wallpaper inside was such a nice touch. It just reminded me of home. The owner is super friendly and was so helpful especially since we were traveling with our baby. Overall, it was such a wonderful experience at Yum Yum Bites, and we highly recommend it!”

“Went to castleton for a holiday and was so bored of eating pub food so decided to try 1530. The building was constructed in 1530 hence the name. I went there with my partner to have some quality time. The service, food, wine pairing and atmosphere was just so good. They even have some vegetarian options and that was a win for me! 10/10 would visit again if I’m back in castleton!”

“Had a lovely visit here- the food was really lovely and the service was excellent. I Had the Steak and Cajun and despite a small issue with my meal, which was sorted as quickly as possible by the wonderful lady serving us- really really enjoyed the food :). The atmosphere is lovely- the pub was pretty full, but we didn't feel like we'd been squeezed in like you do in some pubs. All the staff on sight were polite and very welcoming, I would definitely recommend the Countryman to anybody.”

“Been to plenty of Italian restaurants and this is certainly one of the finest and most authentic. Service was first class, Antonio I believe his name was, he was very attentive without being overbearing. He was very kind and memorable. Food was clearly made with high quality ingredients that represented Italy in its finest form, food was fairly priced compared to the top quality we received. Wine was cold, which seems like a normal thing but sometimes it can come warm, not in this case, perfect temperature. Atmosphere was really nice, it's not often I feel the need to take photos of the decor and surrounding areas but this place was truly unique and eye catching, whilst being very home like. Perfect balance. Overall I am very impressed and if I return to Chesterfield again I will surely visit this spot. Please give it a go, Antonio truly deserves all the business. Highly recommend.”

“We celebrated our 70th birthday with cooked meals for 21 family members and not a complaint from any one. Meals came out together as fast as they could be carried through from kitchen. We always enjoy our meals when we call in about once a week, but a little worried about us all getting our orders correct, We needent have worried, every thing was top notch, nice and hot. The chef even catered for one that is gluten intolerant, one with a nut allergy but a quick word with the chef and all sorted. The orders ranged from pie n peas, fish n chips, steaks, T.Bone steaks, mixed grills, chicken fajitas and my very own favourite smothered chicken. We were a very happy crowd and all satisfied at the end of the evening. The bar is always in tip top condition with beers as they should be. Thank you for making it memorable. WE WILL BE BACK.”

“This is a lovely café in Hathersage village just a little set back from the main road and only a short walk from the railway station. Convenient for refreshment after an outdoor pool swim and the breakfast menu includes a special dish of Turkish origins. Sizeable scones look good too.”
