“I went to get my 15 year old boy put to sleep and the staff and vet couldn't have made a bad situation any better, they where very professional and compassionate and the vet ran me through the steps that will happen and gave me as much time as I wanted to They even offered for me to go home and pay over the phone cause I was in a very bad emotional state and they sent him paw prints and a card to our house a few days later Thanks to all the staff I will be going here in the future I would highly recommend coming here for there finally journey”

“Good location, very easy to find. Took my cat, Marvin, in a few weeks ago for a blocked bladder and he was in a very bad way. The vet and myself were able to work together very well to ensure Marvin got back to feeling fit again, I can't fault how he was treated”

“Been with this vets on and off for several years now and all of the vets and nurses I've seen here are very kind, caring and professional. The receptionists are very good and will go out of their way to help with appointments and queries. The Practice Manager is very pro-active and can often be seen in the background supporting staff members in what can only be described as very busy and at times possibly stressfull enviroment for staff members. She is very passionate and caring and a strong manager. They are open 24/7 and their prices are very reasonable in comparison to other vets, although administration fees for dispensing medications can be around £16 per item, (bearing in mind that almost all vets charge this not just Barnsley Vets for pets) plus the cost of the medications, some of which can be bought online with a prescription for much less, there is a charge for prescriptions but they are very reasonable! So it's probably worth getting a prescription which is active for 6 months once prescribed, for things like worming and flea products or long-term medications. All in all this vets offers up-to-date treatments and are very caring and knowledgeble.”

Unfortunately our Blue Boy passed away before the appointment but Katie and her staff will always be remembered at our house and we'll never use any other Vet now... “Took my nana cat in gizmo. The lady vet. I cant remember her name. She was so lovely. Gizmo is a resuse cat and so nervous around people but she was brill with him and put my nana mind at rest. Animals are like your kids so understandly my nana was very worried about him”

“Open 6pm to 8am as emergency out of hours. Grateful to receive such quick service when we needed it for a cat with a glass cut. Was seen within 10 mins. Vet nurse dealt with him so they waived the vet consultancy fee which was good. If your vet is a partner practice all the notes etc get sent over which is great.”

“My cat was taken as an emergency the vet was waiting for her when she arrived the vet attended to her straight away and we ended up taking her to the main surgery on huddersfield road . They were waiting for her and attended to her straight away . They did everything they could to save her but sadly we lost her . I cannot thank them enough for trying to save her the cost of the care was worth it to try and save her . RIP Missey you were a much loved and now missed family member .”

The person before me was unjustifiably rude to him but he handled it with grace and diplomacy. I found Vincent to be professional, capable and extremely helpful-even going the extra mile to see if I wanted to use my vouchers etc. Working with the general public is never easy and whilst we all complain now and then-its also nice to acknowledge great service when someone clearly puts their heart into their job.
