“We had a lovely weekend away at this beautiful hotel with our extended family. Fiona could not do enough for us and offered us a different room when the cabin was a little tight for us with two small children. The children loved it so much so we stayed in the cabin and it was so cute, with clever storage and a real unique rustic experience. I imagine the best experience in one of the cabins would be in the summer as there was a semi private seating area to enjoy a tipple on a summers evening. There was a large shower and everything is done to a high finish. There was also some lovely gifts left for us on arrival. My Grandad's room in the hotel was lovely with a big bathroom including a stand alone bath which he loved. On our second night my Grandad had trouble with the TV and a member of staff went up to his room immediately to sort it out. The food in the restaurant was of high quality and very yummy. We will definitely be returning when we next come to the New Forest, would recommend for couples and families. Thank you Spot in the Woods!”

“Really enjoyed our breakfast at Bill's. Their big breakfast isn't as big, but was definitely delicious and hence I was able to completely polish it off. They even changed the egg to match my preference. The bacon, baked beans, eggs, mushrooms, and sausages were cooked to perfection. The black pudding however was not my favourite. Their jam and toast martini with vodka was one of my favourite things all day. Definitely try this if you visit.”

“We had lunch here on a Sunday without a booking reservation. The place was not too busy, we were quickly seated, the staff was friendly and attentive, both the pizzas and the starter were great, and the tiramisu was absolutely delicious.”

“Sitting in conservatory, was very comfortable. We just had cappuccino and cake then later pot of tea and chocolate tiffin. It was very nice. Staff were excellent, carrying a tray of tea/cake for me and clearing table when needed.”

“Slightly biased as have been coming here since the early 80s, and although we miss the old style pub, it could have ended up much worse than it is design wise. Food quality is back on an even keel and is consistently of good quality and presentation this taking away that level of apprehension you feel when you go to so many restaurants these days. Shout out to the young ladies and men of the service team who provide a very professional level of service in a pub / restaurant which I know for a fact can suffer from some challenging customers at times...”

“We had such a lovely experience at The Real Greek in Southampton, and a big part of that was thanks to Kasia. From the moment we arrived, she was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. She checked on us at just the right moments and made us feel genuinely looked after throughout our visit. We ordered the seafood platter, which was delicious, and Kasia made sure everything was perfect. Her friendly attitude, professionalism, and natural charm really elevated the whole meal. “Lively atmosphere with upbebay music played at a reasonable volume, quick to be seated. Service speed okay, and coffee beautiful Pizza was absolutely huge, hung over the side of the plate, which did cause the cut of the pizza to not go through the crust so a little difficult to eat The Gnocchi was exquisite and will be coming back for more Overall a nice restaurant to dine in, reasonably priced with vegetarian, meat and fish options of pizza and pasta”

“I had planned a day trip to Southampton and was researching for ages on where to get food, I was torn between herbies pizza and another Chinese takeaway, I’m glad I chose herbies! The pizza was only 9.99 for a large (a deal for collection) so my expectations weren’t super high but I was impressed! Personally I don’t like a super crunchy crust and their crust was soft with the perfect amount of crunch and tasted amazing! The pizza took around 15 mins to cook which is understandable as it’s cooked fresh. It wasn’t too greasy and came with a garlic and herb dip. The guy at the counter was lovely too. I will definitely come back here on my next trip to Southampton!”

“We had a superb visit to Taco Taco. The owners/ chefs are friendly and clearly passionate about their dishes. The food was amazing and the best presentation of Mexican food I've ever seen (and I've tried a lot). The sweet potato Taco was my favourite and the pineapple margarita went down very well. “A excellent cafe/bistro situated approx 10 mins walk from Winchester Station. It's a Hip & Happining place to enjoy your food. I had scrambled eggs on toast and it was lovely with a cup of pot of tea. The staff are all very friendly and very polite. Be aware it does get busy so get there early if you can. Most of the seating is inside.”
