“We just left a different pub we decided not to eat at due to atmosphere and overpriced. This place I can honestly say the staff and service was the best and most accommodating I have ever witnessed. The kindness and communication skills was slim to none. The team you could see it's an atmosphere here that is very comforting. The food was beautiful. A couple of suggestions was the gravy was very thin and roasts was very lightly cooked taking away from the feeling of a roast potato. We are meatfree and the chef even took his time to talk to us about the gravy content. My 11 year old daughter spoke of how kind the server was and how it was nice to see the staff paying interest in the customers unlike the other establishment we left which she described " just about the money " Thanking you”

“We ordered meat and vegetable thali and it was yummy. The amount of food is big enough for two meals each... my veggie thali included tarka dhal, bombay potatoes and veggie curry plus rice with vegetables. We order from regularly and it's always delicious. And for all of that we paid £18...”

“Table for 1 on a Thursday - but the service was excellent. Food was fantastic too, one of the best Indian restaurants I have eaten at. Food tasted fresh and well prepared, presented amazingly. Spice levels in the menu were accurate too. Staff working here all seemed happy and recommended dishes that I haven't heard of and could describe them very well. Drink selection good too and draught cobra tasted good and matched well with food. Glancing into the kitchen and was refreshing to see a clean kitchen with organised sections too. If I'm ever back in the area I will be going back here!”

“2025 Works Christmas meal with 39 of us planned well in advance. We were pleasantly impressed with welcoming staff and tasty food, the meals were hot and generous portions. Even with the large group to manage the staff kept smiling while matching meals with the right names. Each course came pretty swiftly so everyone had food at similar timings. A separate server sorted everyone with drinks throughout. On the whole a solid experience. We learnt later the meals weren't a seasonal menu - but a weekly roast which you could have the same on another visit, which i may come back with the family to be fair. “Cafe is very dog friendly. You can take 2 dogs per person inside and staff make them very welcome. Yes you order at the till but everything is then brought to your table. The hot drinks loyalty card is a bonus, collect 6 stamps and the next hot drink is free.”

“Had the set meal for two and there was plenty for both of us. Friendly and attentive staff. We took our time and ended up staying 40 minutes past the nominal closing time but did not feel pressured by the staff to leave. Recommended.”

“Hsd 2, 12inch pizza and large fries with 2 milkshakes. Food is very good. My milkshakes was watery but when I phoned them up to explain my concern about the milkshakes they promised and delivered 2 10/10 milkshakes. Great service and great food and milkshakes.”

Staff is very amiable and they always try to offer you the best service and help you choose the best dishes for your taste. Is the second time when I was there and definitely not the last. It is not a big restaurant but they act like one. I recommend you to go and try there delicious Turkish food and I'm sure if it's the first time for you, it won't be the last. “I reviewed Mister Chef during the summer and scored low because of a chicken portion being just bone. The owner did ask me to pop in but I only did recently and I feel it right to commend the pwner and the staff, excellent foid second time around and will be going back when passing again. Top takeawy.”

“Fine dining is reflected with the chefs passion for ingredients and fresh produce. The two chefs are always competing to make each dish better every time. I recommend the scallops starter, as an example where each chef has tweaked the dish to get higher and higher praise each time it's served. Service is impeccable, which is what you would expect from a Maitre d'hotel from the armed forces, serving in the officer's mess. I can't recommend this restaurant enough, as today we live in a world of pub grub and a decline in fine dining experiences which should make you feel that you have had "a special meal"”

“Fantastic garden centre… and it’s huge! The food market was amazing, so many treats, it’s hard to resist buying something. Nice cafe’s, but get there early as they get very busy towards lunchtime. The show gardens are amazing. £8 entry fee, but this is very reasonable considering the size and the upkeep of them all. I’ll definitely go back later in the year as we’d just missed a lot of the springtime flowers.”

Atmosphere was lively, busy pub, drinks reasonable price. We had a few in here, whilst we waited for the restaurant to open across the way. Would visit again.”

“Tge pub doesnt do food, so coulent put any review for that! I have to say I've had a few great times in this pub. The new land lady has really created a great atmosphere here! Welcoming to all crowds! A decent, well kept beer and newly refurbished. It has great little beer garden out the back thats lovely in the summer.”

“Great experience. Our waitress Eva was lovely. We were sat near the kitchen where we could see the pizzas being prepared and cooking, it was easy to order and pay on the app and the food came quickly and all together. All the food was delicious and will definitely visit again.”

“Stopped off on my own on route further north. I had emailed in advance to say I would be arriving late and could I have a room in the quiet part. They responded quickly advising they are there 24/7 and they had reserved me a room. It was easy to find, plenty of parking. The lady who was working (last night 19th)was so friendly, a credit to your company and made me feel at ease. Room was clean and spacious. I paid for the breakfast and all of the staff were very friendly, food was yummy and good value. All interactions I had with all of the staff were positive, I would highly recommend staying here.
