“Always used this cattery for our 2 moggies, nothing is too much trouble for the owner & drop off/ pick up times are very flexible, the boarding prices are also very reasonable to. Our cats are always well looked after there & always look well when they have been on their hols lol!”
“A beautiful place to temporarily "home" your dog. He/she will be well looked after, loved and cared for as my best friend was. In other words totally pampered. You will have nothing to worry or fret about while you are parted from your friend. It is a professionally run business run by normal people who care. I'm already looking forward to booking my furry friend in for next year.”
“The accomodation was excellent. We had a converted outbuilding to ourselves with a choice of bedrooms, a small kitchen, lounge and conservatory. A friendly welcome from Eileen together with a couple of generous slices of cake was a perfect start to the stay at the farm. There was plenty of toiletries, tea, coffee, milk etc and the kitchen was well appointed with immaculate and modern appliances. The owners have got a Labrador puppy named Harper who was absolutely adorable. We would have loved to stay longer and will definitely return to this idyllic and peaceful location with stunning views of the countryside. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in the area. We ended up having a curry in a restaurant called "New royal balti" in Audley which was superb. Being non licensed we took a bottle of wine there from the Tesco store a few doors away.”
“Great place to stop with the caravan just round the corner from the theme park shower and toilet block was clean washing up facilities great, we parked on the grass and tou need plenty level blocks etc to get set up but we had a lovely spot , staff very friendly and easy to deal with, kids loved the park !lovely field up the top for dog walking”
“We recently visited while staying over at Alton Towers and didnt want to eat the mass produced food so went here as its quite local and had decent reviews. We were not disappointed with our choice either, what a fabulous little place! The pub part was busy, but service was quick and there was a nice range of local craft ales. The Thai food was fabulous, one of the best red curries I've had for a long time and the family were all pleased with their choices too. Definitely would recommended if your staying in the area, it's well worth a visit.”
“I just want to say a big thank you to Margaret the owner of Peakstones inn everything was great. The beds were so comfortable to sleep. I had the most amazing sleep in my kids wake up in the morning. First thing they said it was this beds are amazing hah the service was 100%. Food was amazing The stuff was great. It made you feel like you're back a home. Big thank you to everyone. We will love to come back and stay again. Thank you so much Margaret and your staff for being so kind and make us feel welcome Thank you so so much My kind of regards Cristina Moniz and from my twins thank you again x”
“I would like to thank Craig & Nikki and a BIG thank you to Karen, for looking after Billy. We received videos & pictures every day of Billy. We were away on holiday, this was fantastic for us to know Billy was having a brilliant time & very safe with Karen. Billy will definitely be going back to Home2Home4Dogs (he would go back now if he had a choice) Thank you all for looking after him. See you very soon. All the very best to you all Steve”
“Lovey place, calm environment, warm rooms especially in winter time. Host had a very cheerful welcoming came for a get away for the night definitely come back highly recommend going in the daytime to explore the areas”
“What an amazing stay, Julie's hospitality from when we arrived until our departure. The room was spotless, the bed super comfortable even the sheets had a fantastic fresh smell. The breakfast is fit for a king, I couldn't finish it all but was really tasty. The shower was powerful with plenty hot water. If your in the area its the place to stay.”
“This place is lovely. We reserved two of the units - The Smithy and The Pump House. The Pump House is dog friendly. The units are well furnished and comfortable. The rooms are finished around what appear to be the original beams. I can confirm their very solid authenticity having verified it with my head on my very first morning. Lesson leaned. Both kitchens were very nice and well appointed. I wasn’t super impressed with the pots and pans but I managed. We made use of the games and puzzles. We will definitely be back. The area is beautiful. The cows are curious. The dog was very happy. The local area has lots to offer.”
“In an area of a city in need of improvement, the Smithfield Apartments are outstanding in more ways than one. The concept works. It is clear Emma & Steve have put a lot of care into their work on these apartment rooms, with attention to small details that make a great difference to the whole. The booking broker messed up with our reservation but these guys went above and beyond to put things right for our weekend. It was quiet, secure, comfy, and clean. Cheers guys, may you get a lot more well deserved business.”
“Spent a lovely week in the cow shed very large and comfy rooms well equipped brilliant place”
“Fantastic house to rent. Sleeps 12 very comfortably, decorated lovely with added autumn decorations when we were there. Plenty of room with two living areas a big kitchen and great dining room for everyone to gather to eat. The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked with equipment including air fryer and slow cooker. Lots of utensils that I usually find lacking when going away. Our only downside was the AGA not working as it would have made cooking for 11 so much easier, but we managed to sort with all other options available. Towels in all rooms, with extras for the hot tub. Host welcoming and helpful. Out in the country but close to lots of places to go out to during the day. Had a great stay and would recommend.”
“This place is a real gem, Vivian and Derek are very nice and helpful”
“We're just back from picking up our dog, Barry, who's just had a lovely 8 day stay with Hanchurch Kennels. We can tell that he's had a great time and been well looked after. Justin and Kayleigh are great, you can tell that they're real dog lovers. Wonderfully secure premises. We'll be back again soon. ☺️”
“Great hospitality and great people. Will definitely visit again whenever I plan for Alton Tower next time.”
“Can’t comment on the rooms as we didn’t stay. We stopped at The Huntsman as we were passing through Cheadle on the way home on a Sunday and were not disappointed. We were greeted warmly by the staff and shown to the lodge with lovely festive decor. The Sunday lunch was a generous size and was delicious! Our children had a wood fired pizza which was equally as delicious. Sad we didn’t get to stay for dessert due to time constraints but would definitely recommend to anyone passing through.”
“Stayed in the Robin Lodges for 4 nights, it was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. The Lodge was clean tidy and homely with all appliances and facilities all working well with an abundance of towels, shampoos, conditioners and shower gel. The surround sound speakers with Bluetooth on the wall was a nice touch. The local pub is a 20 min walk away and was really nice, we didn't eat but the food looked great. If you want a peaceful and chilled break this is the place for you. The onsite shop has all the necessaries and has a selection of local beers, wine and gin, DVDs and games. I would recommend you buy the WiFi package for £25 for 7 days if you are going to need/want internet, I know it sounds like a lot but you can connect 5 devices and there is literally no signal at all on the site and it worked really well. The only thing I would want to add is a light that you can have permanently on outside in the hot tub area (that's being very picky). All in all i would 100% recommend Quarry walk park.”
“Stayed for two nights for a wedding. The girls that run this place are so friendly and nothing is too much for them. One of our friends didn’t make it back to the hotel for breakfast and they offered to keep a plate for her in case she was hungry which was so sweet of them to offer. Our room was very big, it is the basics but can commend them on the how clean and spacious they were and one of the few hotels that give you more than one hanger which was very handy! Breakfast is great, little shorter and earlier than I would prefer but the food quality makes it worth it. The girls are so friendly and so helpful with any questions. We will be back to visit our friends and certainly be staying here again!”
“4 night break exploring the area. Nice and central to get to various places including some lovely walks and exploring Leek. Accommodation is great with everything you need to prepare your own meals or eat out. Everything clean and well decorated. Our only problem was the lack of a teapot but this was rectified at once by the owner. Would definitely recommend but do watch the stone walls as you turn in.”
“Went for dinner, the food is stunning. One of the best pub meals I've had in a long time. No one in my family had anything but good stuff to say about it”
“We didn't stay in hotel so cannot star the rooms. The food was lovely I had classic hunters chicken (chicken new yorker) and it is the best one I have had so far, the hot drinks were refills, staff friendly, would definitely go there again.”
“Just a quick thank you to Steve and Donna who own Dove Farms Barns , we had a short term holiday rental for a few weeks and the accommodation & help was second to none. This setting is fabulous and the attention to detail in the property is outstanding ,many thanks for making the experience enjoyable.”
“Outstanding, everything that makes a great British b&b. Starting with the owners who couldn't be friendlier and more caring about the service they provide, really comfy bed and characterfull clean bedroom and en suite. Better WiFi than most chain hotels and an excellent fresh well cooked breakfast. I'm looking forward to my next visit.”
“Our dog Snoop has again enjoyed staying with Pawsome holidays. Cannot recommend Kimberley highly enough. It says it all really when your dog is so overjoyed to see everyone at Pawsome he forgets you are there. Thank you Kimberley.”
“Lovely place to stay and unwind and amazing hosts would highly recommend”
“Its a beautifully kept property, fantastic facilities, and an absolutely stunning kitchen! The outside space is fantastic and the beds are so comfy! Absolutely wonderful place to stay ahead of my wedding and I would definitely return! Loved finding all the wood carvings of cute little mice!! The hosts are kind and caring and so easy to talk to! We did drive passed the initial sign for the entrance which wasn't as visible as I'd expected but good directions are given by the host so it was an easy fix.”
