“Brilliant little tesco, especially when it's a bank holiday! We went here on a bank holiday Monday after realising Tesco Extra in Longton was shut - we managed to get 95% of things we needed, including veg and cat treats! I'd definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to do a simple tesco shop :)”

“Today at the meir park branch the staff went above and way beyond when my mum was taken poorly ( she is fine now) I hope the staff read this as they were excellent in their care and assistance to both my parents. My dad was looked after by the floor manager and a couple of lovely ladies finished putting his shopping through the till, packed it and took it to his car. They also arranged for a member of staff to follow me to my dad's as I needed to get back to my own car there. They helped him in and unpacked his shopping while I got him settled. Then drove me back to mum who was being seen to in the ambulance.! Amazing helpful caring and professional throughout. Thankyou”

“Good stock of everything you could ever want for your pond, lake or aquarium. All the fish appeared to be healthy and well kept. All the plants were very healthy, and in good condition. The water features and aquariums and ponds on show were all very beautiful. They sell all sorts of treatments and equipment. “First shopping experience in Leek and therefore in Wilko. Large store, although not the biggest branch that I have been in. Went for an elusive item that I was unable to get anywhere else and they sold it(!!!) so I was very happy. Spent a good amount of time in here and inevitably bought lots of other things. Relaxing shopping experience, very calm atmosphere during our visit & friendly till staff. LOTS of other shopping experiences in Leek, was very impressed and had a very enjoyable trip!!”

“I was a customer in the store today and felt it was important to leave a review after witnessing an unpleasant incident that was handled far better than it should ever have needed to be. I saw and heard two customers who were running around the shop shouting, laughing, and loudly mocking a conversation involving a young child. They were treating the store like a playground, disturbing staff and other customers. From close proximity, it was noticeable that they had a strong smell consistent with recent substance use, and their behaviour was erratic and confrontational. A member of staff intervened and asked them to stop, explaining that their behaviour was inappropriate. Instead of listening, they escalated things — repeatedly justifying mocking a child in a local supermarket, laughing it off as a “joke,” and verbally abusing the staff member. I clearly heard him being insulted, including being called a “fat bastard.” He asked them to leave at-least half a dozen times before they finally did. But not before this colleague agreed they could buy what they had and leave, after paying they then returned to the colleague to further harass him. After the incident, I spoke briefly to the colleague involved. I always forget his name; but he was a young man with brown hair — someone I hadn’t seen in the store for a while but who I remember as always courteous and friendly. He explained that the conversation they were mocking was with his nephew. What stood out was that he made the point directly to the customers it shouldn’t matter who the child was — no one should be mocked or harassed in a supermarket, especially children. No supermarket staff member should ever have to put up with behaviour like this. What I saw was someone standing his ground firmly in the face of sustained provocation. As a customer, I actually found it reassuring to see bullying behaviour challenged instead of ignored. I’ve been coming to this store for years and have always received great service. If I had been spoken to the way that colleague was, the outcome would have been far worse, — his restraint and professionalism deserve praise.”

“I'm on holiday locally and embarrassingly I had come without my tablets. I submitted an Emergency Prescription request via the NHS app to collect at this chemist. The lady who served me couldn't have been more pleasant, friendly and helpful. She quickly sorted the request for me, providing me with enough tablets for a month, to save having to pay again for the prescription and I left with the said tablets. Proper friendly customer service. Thank you.”
