“What a wonderful stay we had at The Tawny.We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and wanted somewhere special,where we could relax in nature. The meet and greet was great with Darren taking us to the Glade shepherd hut.A charming guy and extremely friendly. The service throughout was attentive but unpretentious We were particularly impressed with front of house during our 2 evening meals in the Plumbicorn restaurant. “This place is lovely. We reserved two of the units - The Smithy and The Pump House. The Pump House is dog friendly. The units are well furnished and comfortable. The rooms are finished around what appear to be the original beams. I can confirm their very solid authenticity having verified it with my head on my very first morning. Lesson leaned. Both kitchens were very nice and well appointed. I wasn’t super impressed with the pots and pans but I managed. We made use of the games and puzzles. We will definitely be back. The area is beautiful. The cows are curious. The dog was very happy. The local area has lots to offer.”

“In an area of a city in need of improvement, the Smithfield Apartments are outstanding in more ways than one. The concept works. It is clear Emma & Steve have put a lot of care into their work on these apartment rooms, with attention to small details that make a great difference to the whole. The booking broker messed up with our reservation but these guys went above and beyond to put things right for our weekend. It was quiet, secure, comfy, and clean. Cheers guys, may you get a lot more well deserved business.”

“I have recently had my first weight loss consultation at the pharmacy. I was a little anxious about the appointment, to say the least, but the pharmacist made me feel at ease straight away - he was so kind and considerate. The pharmacist discussed the best weight loss plan for me and gave me all the information I needed. With his guidance I have started on one of the weight loss injections available and I am managing those injections at home myself. I will be seeing the pharmacist now on a regular basis to help me with my weight loss. Thank you Chris.”

“I went to Lloyds a couple weeks ago to discuss weight loss medication options as I am overweight but not obviously, I have been struggling the last couple years despite calorie counting, running, swimming and weight training. Spoke to the pharmacy Ben and he suggested Monjaro but I have a huge needle phobia, he understood and even showed me what the pen looked like and the size of a needle used. I couldn't face it then so I went back Monday and the lady behind the counter suggested to come back to see Ben again to discuss further and she would put a Monjaro ready but no pressure if I decide I can't do it, very reassuring. I went back today, terrified and had a weight consultation with Ben, again he was very understanding and patient, talked me through everything and I finally did it, as he suggested, I did it myself so I know what to do for the next jabs. I am so grateful for his support, help and patience with me, couldn't of faced my fear without him. Thank you!!!”

The staff are always professional, and although I’ve seen many new faces over time, every team member who has helped me has been friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable. They’re also very efficient at getting medication in stock if it isn’t available right away, which I really appreciate. The bargain shelves are a great addition for the community, and I used to enjoy the accessory stands they had — it would be great to see those return. It’s also fantastic to see them offering more advanced services now. Overall, a reliable and supportive pharmacy that continues to improve and serve the community well. Keep up the good work”

“I have 2 cocker spaniels a male who is nearly 9 and a 2 year old female....my last groomer could never dry my male and he always came home wet..a friend recommended when I told her about the situation ..my female went first as my old groomer could fit her in...she came home looking amazing...a few weeks later I took my fussy male...he had an amazing cut...was dry and had an utterly happy experience..Joanne also made a fuss of my son when we went and even let him go see her new puppies...the whole experience with Joanne has been amazing .most of all my fur babies seem so much more happier....thank you.”

“Loved this place. Our first time there for just one night to celebrate our anniversary. Will definitely be going back as we both felt so relaxed there. Beautiful settings and garden, great for heading out on a walk. Decor and ambience just lovely. Food was excellent (and not 'messed with' as my husband would say!). Our room, which was upgraded so very kindly and much appreciated, was brilliant. Wonderful views from large double aspect windows. Thank you.”

“We booked a spa day for four of us in November and loved every second. The facilities were immaculate, spacious and varied. There was so much to do and most importantly, the spa wasn't packed ridiculously full so you could actually enjoy it. The drinks, food and service were all great and the treatment was fantastic. Genuinely couldn't fault the team working and the spa itself, it was beautiful and the team were constantly walking round tidying blankets etc. and as you couldn't reserve the large beds, there was always availability too. I think the one slight issue (and this is being really picky) was that there was nowhere for the towels to dry so they ended up soaking wet by the end of the day but it's the smallest issue and didn't affect our enjoyment of the day at all. We're already looking at a date to come back.”

“Very clean cosy room . Probably the hottest night ever so the large fan was most welcome . Currently sitting in the courtyard which is a nice area. Very nice kitchen area for guests use . Here for my granddaughters graduation .”

“Needed hotel as visiting family near by, this was in an excellent location. Alsager is a lovely town, we visited a lovely bakers and had a lovely lunch. Also pubs and couple of restaurants nearby for evening meals. If you like national trust, there's a quaint place called Little Morton Hall worth a visit. The hotel was run by lovely people, and the breakfast can't be faulted. We will definitely stay there again”

“The accomodation was excellent. We had a converted outbuilding to ourselves with a choice of bedrooms, a small kitchen, lounge and conservatory. A friendly welcome from Eileen together with a couple of generous slices of cake was a perfect start to the stay at the farm. There was plenty of toiletries, tea, coffee, milk etc and the kitchen was well appointed with immaculate and modern appliances. The owners have got a Labrador puppy named Harper who was absolutely adorable. We would have loved to stay longer and will definitely return to this idyllic and peaceful location with stunning views of the countryside. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in the area. We ended up having a curry in a restaurant called "New royal balti" in Audley which was superb. Being non licensed we took a bottle of wine there from the Tesco store a few doors away.”
