“Service was amazing and food arrived very quick.The team was so great, looked after us and met our needs for sure. The first table we sat at was a little wonky but it was immediately noticed by the team, a big shout out to - Nelson! He had such a great energy and a smile on his face that it was lovely just to be around and his service was top notch, he really made sure we felt comfortable there! We went for unlimited pancakes option with Dubai Style pancakes, personally I would stick with the original flavours already in the menu and keep the syrup on the side as it's a too overwhelming. It was a really fun experience though! Thank you to the whole team!”

“Fab evening meal here last night - great good, really friendly staff (perfectly on the right side of attentiveness) and very reasonable prices. Unfortunately for this lovely restaurant, its owner and staff, we realised afterwards that we'd seen what is sadly becoming an increasing issue of people running up large bills and then trying to get away without paying: a very loud and entitled family of four were seated near us; we noticed them ordering a lot (and being advised by the staff about portion sizes and what would be arriving, so as not to over-order) and they were very happy, smiling, laughing and talking loudly through their whole meal. The wait staff then took away empty plates at the end. We only saw as they went to pay that the man was now (quietly) trying to create an issue, and after they left, the staff were very upset. We spoke with the owner, and this family had complained that there was a problem with one of the meals - which, to note, they had eaten IN ITS ENTIRETY - so had been trying to blag the whole bill free. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from these obnoxious and selfish diners. From the impact alone on the staff, they should be thoroughly ashamed of what they did.”

The Charsi Chicken Karahi was another standout — spicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The chicken was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the sauce was so delicious that we couldn’t resist dipping the naan into every last bit. The service was warm and welcoming. “A return visit something that is very rare for us locally. We were greeted in the bar area and asked if we would like a drink in the bar or at the table in the restaurant we chose the latter. We were given the choice of an a la carte, set or tasting menu. Being midweek we chose a la carte knowing we would share each dish ordered anyway. Having viewed the Chefs social media videos of his bread making we asked for a side order of the bread which was outstanding a sourdough, a focaccia and a crisp bread that came with a light butter and amazing olive oil. For starters we chose the grilled Octopus, confit tomato, tagiasche olive preserved lemon Pizza ( a signature dish of the chef owner) which was a real star dish the pizza base crisp & light. The confit tomatoes punchy with flavour, the olives and preserved lemon balancing out the whole dish with perfectly cooked Octopus. Our other starter was Fregola pasta from Sardinia, prawns, mussels & saffron, cooked to perfection & again packed with flavour. For mains we chose Halibut with a yellow tomato sauce the fish a generous sized portion that was skillfully cooked, the potato, samphire & mushroom garnish brought together the whole dish. Pork 4 ways showed the kitchens skill level as each element was again perfectly cooked each one giving a different layer of flavour & texture the pasta element silky & the sherry jus was indulgent balanced with the root vegetable garnish. For dessert we ordered the tartlet (chocolate) which was at the same level as recent michelin star versions we have tasted. Thin pastry that snapped when cut into, warm rich chocolate filling & toasted hazelnuts. Terra Mia, Another signature dish of the chef owner and a wonderful representation of his home town a dessert I have experienced here previously its worth visiting Sapori just to taste this dessert alone Service was outstanding, front of house staff very knowledgeable regarding the menu, wines & other drinks on the list. For me this place is worthy of 3 aa rosettes and deserves more recognition from Michelin and other food guides”

“I love Al Nawab. Always fabulous food to take away or eat in. Very good sized portions, everything freshly cooked. Chicken sizzler is my favourite with lovely large chunks of chicken. You can ask for curries to be more or less spicy and the owners lovely son gives good recommendations. I have had curries from other local restaurants, but they are not as good quality and way more expensive. I like the fact you can take your own booze as it is obviously much cheaper and for anyone who doesn’t realise it isn’t licensed, a quick stroll to Tesco Co-op or Lidl can get you something to wash it all down with. Lovely family business great food and staff, highly recommended.”

The staff made sure we were well looked after even though there were a few really large groups! We thought we had booked into SHU but were seated in the downstairs area "Juls". It had a slightly different atmosphere with music with quite a loud bass. Not sure if the music was turned down or we got used to it but wasn't noticeable after a while!”
