“First time coming in a few years after seeing recent social media posts. The food is freshly cooked so there is a little wait but when it is as good as it was, I really don't mind. I can't tell you how big the chunky chips were and the short rib beef was delicious! The staff were really friendly and welcoming too. The menu is small but I think that is a good thing as everything is cooked well. Will be back for some 2-4-1 cocktails and a Sunday for a carvery. A little hidden gem!”

The team behind the bar were brilliant — really friendly and on the ball. I didn’t have to wait long to get served, and they were happy to recommend a few local ales I hadn’t tried before. Great selection of drinks overall. I grabbed something to eat too, and the food hit the spot — proper pub classics, well cooked and tasty. The prices were decent as well, especially for central Birmingham. All in all, a cracking place for a pint and a bite to eat. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area.”

“The "traditional breakfast" is truly hard to beat for the money here... I just started working at the Shopping Centre next-door, and I've been in a number of times for a quick and easy breakfast fry-up before my shift. The food has been consistently good here, and nearly half the price of a number of cafés I've been to. Service has always been quick, friendly and polite, and the value for money can't be beat. I've yet to try the drinks menu (not recommended before an eight hour shift!), but it's way cheaper than any places I've been in lately.”
