“Friendly place, brilliant service, always checking on customers, including myself, even offered me a free coffee while I waited and great food. I brought my 2 children they both loved the food. My son was amazed with the size of his cheese burger he almost managed to eat it all, along side his home made chips.”
“Top marks as it is very good for a Starbucks. Great friendly service donen quickly. The drive thru is always good and inside is quiet enough to get some work done if you need to.”
“The best Starbucks!! Lovely people and cannot fault it! A pleasure to visit when on a work meeting coffee stop! Assistant manager is wonderful! A credit to the business! 5⭐️”
“The Manager at this branch created one of the best tasting and purist Cortado. Thank you for demonstrating how a coffee should be made.”
“We had a small family gathering for our sons 21st birthdays in the function room. Staff were very polite, helpfull and attentive. The buffet food served was absolutely delicious. Couldn’t recommend it more for a small function.”
“Had a kids birthday party. The experience was absolutely wonderful. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Helped cut up the cake in the kitchen while children enjoyed their ice cream. The kids ate all the food and had lots of fun.”
“Staff are very friendly and always have a laugh. Customers are friendly too. Prices for drinks are reasonable with offers for certain drinks. Pool table to play on and Karaoke on a Thursday is brilliant”

“Called in for the first time in years, staff were very welcoming and fast with the drinks. The food was amazing and fresh. Really nice and relaxing atmosphere.”
“Lovely food, some really good vegetarian options, good service in a busy period, all welcoming atmosphere”
“New menu is nice. Reasonably priced. Have breakfast and tea here occasionally. Always very quiet unless football is showing then it’s a different atmosphere and can get very busy. Kids are welcome here but only until 7.30pm. Would recommend.”
“Surprisingly nice interior, which was originally a Church. High ceiling, look up to see the Church organ pipes and pews. Unlimited refills available on hot drinks. Constant ale and beer variations available, particularly during regular events. Staff are cheery and quick to serve and great table service. Outside seating available during the summer. Food prices are great!”
“Called in for a breakfast, Really nice food. Coffee was really nice as well. Service was great really polite and helpful. Nice clean and cosy.”
“Bright, welcoming store with the full range of Costa and Marks and Spencer food. Clean and tidy. Lots of seating options including outside, comfy sofas, wi-fi, plug sockets. Friendly helpful staff. Handy drive through with plenty of parking”
“Great food as always. Parking is awkward here - well there is none. Perhaps a little bit geriatric in clientele but I'm one now sadly. Disappointing to see people drinking at 9am but it is their own grave they are digging and not mine - let them drink their lives away and good riddance. Lovely friendly staff. Recommended.”
“Had a wonderful meal here recently. Food was fabulous and the staff were great and very helpful with my gluten free needs. Thank you, we will definitely be back”
“Food is well priced, pub is very busy sometimes, but worth the wait ✋️”
“We had a fantastic time at The Old White Beare in Norwood Green. It’s a beautiful, characterful pub with a really cosy atmosphere and a proper village feel. The staff were friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent – generous portions, well cooked and nicely presented. Our mains were full of flavour and the desserts were the perfect finish. Great choice of drinks too, with plenty of beers, wines and spirits to pick from. Loved the relaxed vibe and the comfortable seating areas, both inside and out. It’s the kind of place you can happily spend an afternoon in. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend The Old White Beare to anyone looking for a quality pub meal in a lovely setting.”
“Its one of my locals and a famous old pub in Halifax, plenty of character and characters. Say hello if you pop in.”
“This pub has a new manager Shannon she's only been in 8 weeks. She's very friendly & has a bubbly personality. I can already see the pub getting more customers in everytime i visit. The atmosphere and staff are great. The pub is clean and beer great. There's now singers on every Thursdays to see how that goes. Haven't marked the food as they don't sell meals, only your normal, crisp, nuts, etc.”
“Came to Halifax for the day from a week's holiday in Hebden Bridge. Came for late lunch/early dinner and was pretty empty. A few of our party went for the 2 courses for £18 which was good value. We had the mozzarella sticks which are always a crowd pleaser. The beef tacos were really tasty with great crunch from the pomegranate seeds - a lot more filling than expected. The chicken fajitas were also full of flavour. Good pints of Sam Adams. We had a gluten free member and the staff were extremely accommodating (bringing the manager over to take their order specifically felt slightly too much but we understand why). Overall a really great meal, despite no tequila and it feeling like there was an earthquake every 5 mins (assuming the cinema was the culprit!).”
“Wonderful pub, beautiful food and friendly barstaff and regulars that make you feel welcome. Will definitely keep returning x”
“Brilliant staff friendly customers and fairly priced cant think of a better pub”
“Very good food, always consistent. Recommend the chicken tikka and pizzas. Just remember to ask for the pizzas without the masalas on top.”
“Had a nice couple of drinks there on a quite but by no means dead Monday night. Nice atmosphere, friendly landlady, well kept pint of Saltaire Blond. Happy for us to bring dog in too. What more could you ask for. Will return. Pity not our local.”
“Love the grilled food but to my surprise I got a meat balti special yesterday and it was spot on. Really was fresh and delicious.”
“What a lovely pub was like going back in time to when your local pub was a happy sociable place to be ....not boarded up or converted terribly into flats or out of place shop as the reality now!change of society,culture?...nice friendly staff and landlady...a Friday afternoon drink and catch-up with a friend turned out longer than expected as was a pleasant place to be so made afternoon of it... was also fed with free food regularly laid on homemade vegetable stew, bread and chips..also encouraged to help ourselves as much as wanted....what a lovely gesture why can't other pubs learn from this? Look after your customers...!! lovely views beer garden with ample seating overlooking fields and Saltair. .also good parking to front..well worth a visit highly recommended made to feel welcome..thankyou”
“I'm being Santa's little helper for a well known parcel carrier and was delivering in the area today. I called in to borrow the toilet, as I said to the lady behind the bar "it would be damned rude not to have a gill" I'd like to call again some time and maybe stop for a couple of hours, maybe on a Sunday. Seems like a good little pub”
“Typical town centre pub, average prices, nicely decorated, clean and tidy and well set out. Staff have ALWAYS been polite and friendly to me personally, but I only have 1 beer/ 2 at a push, once a month. can't comment on owt else really except go-on kidda, get thi sen a jar n av a luk wi thi own ize. This is an added comment months after what you just read... Still a crackin place to bob into and get a relaxer”
“Grace served me and made me such a nice Chai Latte on Friday evening. Staff are always very friendly, even when they are mopping the floor in the back.”
