“We held a wake here recently but sadly, a lot of food, which was plentiful, was not eaten despite it being very good. The staff were very helpful, even providing something for a guest who was intolerant to certain foods and which we were not previously aware of. The buffet we chose was extremely fairly priced and we were more than happy to pay extra for any tes and coffees ordered.”

“Perfect place for a warm Summer evening meal outside. Great menu and very good quality food. Chicken came with one of the best Caesar salads I’ve had in a long while including fresh anchovies. The trout was also perfectly cooked. Large garden with various options for eating outside;open, partly or totally under cover. Best to book a table or arrive early especially on weekends, although be aware you can’t order food until 6pm.”

“Stud farm campsite is one of the most beautiful campsites I have stayed on. The views of the south downs and the sea are second to none. The campsite is quiet and had respectful people when we camped. They have a toilet block and showers although as we up on top of the downs the water pressure was very low so not sure how good the showers were, toilets were clean and tidy... Camp fires were allowed but only off the ground which is understandable. The have on-site staff to help and bring firewood if you need. It's only a short drive to birling gap or the start of the seven sisters. The top of the hill can get a bit windy but if you prepare for it it's not a problem. Keep an eye of for spitfire flybys”

“Had a very pleasant two night stay here. All the staff were really friendly and the breakfast was surprisingly good! The rooms are small and clean and just right for a short stay. The mattress could be more comfortable, but for two nights it was alright.”

“The Claremont went above and beyond for Afternoon Tea. We didn't stay there but wish we did because honestly, we had the most welcoming and great experience. My partner had a birthday celebration, not only did they gesture a cake with a candle and decorated for it, the wonderful lady serving us made sure we were well looked after by moving us and everything out in the garden for our convenience as well as checking up for naything we needed. The tea was absolutely delicious and fresh! Everything went so well and it was just a special day. We cannot comment on the rooms as we have not been but from images and description, look great! A gem to be recommended. They also celebrate artists by displaying interesting art for sale inside the foyer. Fabulous! So traditional, so english and so Brighton!”

“Lovely room, nice and clean, and we had white stuff toiletries which was a lovely surprise. Location a little out of the centre but great bus connections. Very responsive on email and telephone. Really happy. Definitely recommend staying here and we will definitely stay here again.”

“Coulson House is one of the loveliest places I’ve stayed. The staff were extremely friendly, the rooms were spotlessly clean, and everything felt welcoming and well cared for. Excellent location, just a short walk from the beach and the city centre. I would definitely love to stay there again.”

“We had 5 idyllic days and by the end everyone decided they couldn't leave until they had booked again for next year! The house and grounds, held us in a sanctuary that we didn't want to leave. The team were so responsive, and everything seemed so easy to organise! The food, fire pit, dancing on the hill overlooking the sea, sauna on the beach took it to a whole different level. There is no other place for us now! Thank you.”

“Had a wonderful stay at Hill View Steyning as a stopover walking the South Downs Way from Winchester to Eastbourne. Greeted by a warm welcome and a beautiful home with breathtaking gardens. Really comfy room with modern bathroom. Everything you would wish for in a B&B. Hostess made the most beautiful breakfast and is a rare talent! Really enjoyed running on the seafront in the morning too :) Great local recommendations for breakfast and dinner that were walking distance from the apartment, would def stay again :)”

“Wonderful B&B in a quiet location offering great value for money. Really enjoyed our stay here, a warm welcome from the owners upon our arrival, the room had a beautiful view over the garden and field behind - We were given a map to keep of the local area and an ice cold bottle of water for the room. Tea & coffee was also available in the room. Bramble barn was a medium walk to town, maybe 15-20 minutes. Breakfast was excellent and very generous - freshly cooked to order, with vegetarian options that could easily be tweaked to a vegan cooked breakfast if required. I would 100% stay again!”

“Such a lovely place just off the seafront. hosts were really friendly and so interesting to chat to and offered some great tips on where to go. Good choice at breakfast to set you up for the day, and they were so accomodating to our needs with our 1 year old daughter, letting us use the fridge for milk and microwave if we needed it. Rooms were lovely and clean and nice big bathrooms. Would definitely stay here again.”

“This has to be my favourite rental accommodation for a short stay so far. I don't usually compare as all lets are unique, but this was above and beyond my expectations. The 2 separate rooms available, are on the spacious top floor, so great if going with friends. On the same floor there is a kitchenette with microwave well equipped for preparing light meals. The rooms are spacious with king sized beds and full sized ensuite bathrooms. The decor is exceptional and attention to detail is obvious. The whole experience is one of comfort and luxury. I can't recommend this highly enough.”

“Well equipped cottage in beautiful surroundings. We had a lovely stay there and enjoyed walking around the grounds. The owners are very kind and generous, stocking the cottage with nice things for us to eat for when we arrived and even sent us a beloved lost toy my son left behind. “I have just returned from a 4-week January break. Staying at Chanctonbury cottage. I received a warm welcome on arrival and was then shown around the cottage which had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The accommodation is well equipped, roomy, and spotlessly clean. Not to mention the underfloor heating making my mid-winter stay very comfortable. Located in a peaceful setting and yet within easy reach of Steyning high street for all your day-to-day needs, eating out etc. I found the cottage a perfect base to venture out from and explore West Sussex, and being centrally located, Brighton, Worthing, and Horsham are all within a short drive away. Like me, if you have a dog then you are spoilt for choice with lovely walks on your doorstep, or wider options just a short car ride away. Hosts Jed and Vanessa were on hand if ever I needed anything, otherwise I was left alone to enjoy my stay and the peaceful surroundings. Fresh bed linen and clean towels were provided each week. Overall, I had a thoroughly enjoyable, relaxing stay and left feeling recharged. I will return!”

Our stunning attic conversion de-luxe room provided luxurious space, every classy comfort and kitchenette convenience necessary. An added bonus was complimentary cereal/yog/berries, beer, G&T..perfect for a relaxing few days. Our friends stayed in the basement flat and felt the same. We would recommend highly!”
