“You cannot beat the £10 lunch deal. The value for money is astonishing. Freshly made pasta and quality ingredients cooked simply to produce great flavours. Staff are wonderful and the vibe is always good. Need I say more? The best around.”
“Loved the cozy vibe of the restaurant! The food did not disappoint. Our favourites were definitely the lamb dish and the chicken skewers. Everything was just so delicious!”
“Really lovely service, gorgeous atmosphere (loved the little tiny hollowed out gourds for tealight holders!) and the pasta was unbelievable. We had the bread to start which was warm and was served with soft, salted butter. We had a bottle of white wine to share and then one pasta dish each, the reginette pork and the cappelletti with mushrooms. It was the best pasta I’ve ever had and my partner loved his. It’s so nice to have a place of such high quality with vegetarian and vegan options. We shared the tiramisu for dessert which was also amazing! It was a very memorable evening and we are really excited to be back soon!”
“Beautiful spot with amazing food and service. The river view is so relaxing, and it’s tucked away from the busy part of Bath - such a hidden gem for brunch. Highly recommend! This restaurant truly made our day during our visit to Bath.”
“Popped in while traveling. Arrived not too long after opening and were seen immediately. All staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The food we had was out of this world and everything we saw others ordering looked just sublime. We had the swordfish which melted in the mouth and everything comes with veg and both roast and dauphinoise potatoes. If you have the chance to eat here, do so you will not regret it.”
“A lovely evening at Box E! Each dish of the tasting course was well balanced and flavoursome, the local ingredients really sang through! Would definitely recommend for a special occasion. Service was smooth and very friendly. Absolutely divine wine selection also. The only thing I would say, I stated in my email that it was going to be my birthday the night we were dining, and as a restaurant of this standing, I did expect them to do something to acknowledge that, maybe a candle or gesture at the end of the meal. But regardless it was still a wonderful night!”
“A group of us ate here at the weekend in celebration of my birthday. It was the most fantastic experience! The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere but still maintains a high level of professionalism. Two of us had the vegetarian menu whilst the other two had the standard menu and all of us were blown away by the quality and the individuality of each course. My particular favourite was the tomatoes with whipped ricotta (best tomatoes I've ever eaten); other gems included the Old Winchester tartlet, the confit aubergine, and the rosemary fudge. The wine pairings were well thought out and in my view good value for money. What really topped off a superb evening was the exceptional service we received from start to finish - the staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and true asset to this restaurant.”
“This is a real gem! Food is absolutely delicious, gorgeously presented and delivered by friendly staff. The entrée includes a 4 times world winner olive oil with a strong herbal flavour, which on its own would be a good enough reason to visit. Chefs mix flavours in a surprising way, but by no means strange or over the top. You will be genuinely pleasantly surprised with every dish - I can especially recommend boneless spicy chicken wings, lamb and seafood. If you opt in for a set menu, make sure you add a few tapas as well to fully appreciate what's on offer. There is a nice selection of wines and liquors, and should you enjoy cider, there is a Basque semi-dry one you cannot miss. There is only one thing this restaurant lacks: two Michelin stars! Even if you're half an hour away, the trip here will be worth it without a doubt.”
“This place continues to be the best fine dining experience around. The menu is compact and exquisite and everything is cooked to perfection. The wine list is very comprehensive and advice is offered on pairing with the menu. All in all the best place to eat in Thornbury.”
“We tried Domaine16 for their Bottomless Raclette. It’s safe to say I definitely over indulged… The new potatoes were absolutely delicious on their own, let alone with melted cheese on top. The meats and pickles on the charcuterie board was also really tasty. We had a side of baguette and even that was delicious. Service was impeccable and the staff were so lovely and accommodating. We finished with the chocolate fondue which was also delicious.”
“Really tasty pizza, with plenty of other options - sub sandwiches etc. Had the quattro formaggio which was excellent, with several different chilli oils. Roman pizza with anchovies capers and olives also very good. House red was great and good price. Definitely will be back.”
“One of the best Gyros I've ever had. Definitely the best in Bristol. Also really good burgers, wraps and breakfasts too! Some of the best food on Whiteladies Road so get involved.”
“It was perfect. I simply can't fault it. Definitely going back for next Christmas Eve. I could say so much more but just read my first 3 words.”
“Second visit and a second delightful evening. Interesting menu and entirely different from our last visit. I tried the non-alcoholic flight this time and it didn't leave me feeling like I'd missed out, just like they promise. Interesting and well paired with the dishes.”
“We have been here a few times now and our favourite thing is the aubergines and the marinated anchovies. We had a botifarra sausage dish with beans but the beans were not cooked enough. The aubergines with molasses were iconic as always. The tortilla de patatas got mixed reviews (no onions or seasoned enough). The girls loved the two desserts although one of them noticed that the basque cheesecake was a New York cheesecake not a basque one - indeed. The girls also love their drinks. The atmosphere is banging and because it’s a small place it gets very cosy.”
“We had accidentally booked for the wrong day and they were very accommodating considering our mistake............I will say, it was Absolutely stunning. The food was incredible and the service was top notch. It wasn't cheap but then we didn't expect it to be considering how beautiful the food was. Was lovely to actually be able to talk to the chef himself and was very approachable. Thankyou for an unforgettable experience!!! Darren and Sarah”
“Fantastic place. The staff were attentive without being overbearing. The food was delicious and the decor was lovely too. A hidden gem! Couldn't fault the experience from start to finish.”
“Set within beautiful sloping gardens and orchards with a stunning view, the restaurant serves seasonal food from the garden in a relaxed atmosphere. We had sone delicious flavour combinations, all the dishes were prepared and cooked really nicely. There's also a good range of beer, cider, wine and cocktails. Will definitely be eating here again.”
“We had our annual large group booking for a ‘Christmas pizza’ and it was another great evening….thank you! The pizzas were delicious and the staff very friendly, helpful and attentive. Would highly recommend!”
“Fabulous tasting experience with amazing flavours and combinations Not usually a dessert person but both of them on the tasting menu were amazing A wonderful gem”
“What a gem this place is. We booked a table for our honeymoon and were treated like royalty. A front window table, and top notch service. Being Gluten Intolerant my menu had been marked specifically for my needs, and was given the utmost care and thoughtfulness. The olives to start were plump, garlicky and smokey. The food when it arrived was amazing. The ocean bream was crisp, and the samphire and saffron sauce just delicious. We literally mopped up our plates. The steak was tender, the the panne cotta and chocolate torte with poached plum just absolutely delicious. Amarelle who served us was sweet, knowledgeable, and attentive. What a lovely restaurant - a must visit.”
“Fabulous little restaurant which serves fantastic food and great wines & beers. We booked a lunchtime slot and it didn’t disappoint. Homemade spaghetti dish for mains and scallops to start, both absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a pleasant ambience and atmosphere, the most lovely and friendly staff and the owner is very accommodating and stops to have a chat with his customers. We did stop a couple of evenings for drinks only and that was very pleasant too. The amount of people turned away at the door without a booking was frequent, I’d definitely recommend booking online if you want to dine. On our list of restaurants to revisit next time we’re in Bristol.”
“Delicious food: I had the salmon cake, and it comes with a avocado and cucumber salad. We spent only 18£ per person. The beer was good; but we especially appreciate the welcoming atmosphere. Thanks!”
“I booked a private party for my wedding here. They happily accommodated 30 people, and we could have had up to 60. The appetizers they selected for us were all delicious and accommodated diet restrictions as well. Highly recommend for parties, meals, or a quick drink or coffee with some of the friendliest faces around!!”
“Food in the cafe is excellent and fresh you can taste the difference. it is on a working farm but please do not let this out you off, when the owners have spoken to you and made you feel at home and serve you your food you will not regret it. There is also a shop which sells local produce and a meat counter. The pie’s they make on site and are amazing you have to try. We stock up and take some home with us each time we visit the area. The owners are really friendly and welcoming we holiday here once a year and no matter which part we are in we will make the drive to Priddy Farm.”
“Ate Sunday lunch here today. Absolutely lovely. The lamb was superb and the nut roast was one of the best I’ve tasted. The veg were cooked to perfection and the red cabbage was delicious. Very good service and the live piano was delightful. I cannot fault anything. Will definitely eat here again.”
“I visited Poco Tapas Bar with friends while in Bristol and really enjoyed it. Lovely atmosphere, creative dishes, and perfect for sharing.”
“Authentic family run Thai restaurant. Great value, quality food and service was great. Shout out to the young gentleman who served us. Impeccably polite, service with a smile.”
“This place is such a gem. I've eaten here twice now, both times sat outside which feels like being on holiday when the sun is shining. The food is incredible. You can tell that a lot love and care has gone into it, with lovely, friendly service too. I normally order a noodle broth when I have Vietnamese food but I was more adventurous on my last visit and went for a fish dish from the specials menu. I'm so glad I did because it was one of the tastiest meals out I've had in a long time. Would definitely recommend.”
“Went here for my birthday and made good use of the mid week set menu deal, 3 courses for £23, which was definitely great value as the food was high quality. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also really nice, even for an early evening sitting! Would come again for sure.”
