“We called ahead to ask if we could still book, despite it only being an hour until they closed. But they accommodated our group of three. The service was impeccable, they were all friendly and polite. The glasses were crystal clear and the beer was ice cold (what more could you want?). The pizza was incredible, definitely authentic Italian pizza, I've eaten pizza all over Italy and this easily ranks among the best of them. Deliciously flavourful, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The atmosphere was nice, the way they have decorated, along with the music really makes you feel like you're abroad. The prices were extremely good as well, my pizza was one of the most expensive on the menu at only £14 (Dominos charge £24 for a pizza of the same size). 10/10 will absolutely be back.”

“What an amazing find, we ate early as pre theatre dinner and the waiting staff were fantastic at ensuring we made curtain up! The chef was wonderful, he took the time to tell us about the dishes, which just added to experience. The food was some of the best I've ever had, and whilst it is hard to pick a favourite, I can't speak highly enough of the ox tongue with gnocchi, it was divine. The sticky toffee pudding was simply the best I've ever eaten. Thankyou for a gorgeous dinner, we will be back.”

“Popped in for dinner on spec at 9pm on a cold March evening. Warm welcome by George, we had three starters each (2 of us) and a lamb shank main (1 person). The octopus was excellent, as were the Caprese (bit too much tomato but gorgeous cheese) and hummus. Dolmadakia and flat breads were good too. Lamb shank also delicious. Only surprise was that the ‘wine by the bottle’ came in large steel carafes. The decor is very clean and reminiscent of small Greek tavernas. We’re already planning a return visit in a couple of weeks.”

“Absolutely brilliant time, took my mum for her birthday and the chef came and answered questions about food we’d never tried before. Staff were amazing and so friendly, letting us try dishes and singing happy birthday. Food is so delicious and affordable - we had the jerk chicken and curried goat and tried the ackee and saltfish, all of which I recommend!”

“Always perfect service from the staff on the kiosk! Me and my other half have been buying from them for years, better tasting and better presented than every other sushi kiosk in other supermarkets! The staff member named Rosie has always greeted us and has a little chat while she works always makes our days better aswell as making us the sushi that isn’t on display that day so we always leave happy! The forgotten ends is perfect for lower budget purchases aswell as giving you a bit of everything, even better that it supports a charity with its purchase too! We will continue to purchase from them and always look forward to our next visit!”

“Lovely little place on an industrial estate in Bradford on Avon. I had the amber lager and hubby a Stout, really good and made on the premises. Really friendly staff that showed us to a bench alongside the canal. Definitely worth a visit if in the area. It's only a small place but packs plenty of punch.”

“A group of us ate here at the weekend in celebration of my birthday. It was the most fantastic experience! The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere but still maintains a high level of professionalism. Two of us had the vegetarian menu whilst the other two had the standard menu and all of us were blown away by the quality and the individuality of each course. My particular favourite was the tomatoes with whipped ricotta (best tomatoes I've ever eaten); other gems included the Old Winchester tartlet, the confit aubergine, and the rosemary fudge. The wine pairings were well thought out and in my view good value for money. What really topped off a superb evening was the exceptional service we received from start to finish - the staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and true asset to this restaurant.”

I ordered the Falcons Famous Dipster Steak Sandwich and the death by chocolate cheese cake, it was amazing! The steak was cooked perfectly and was soooo tasty. “Update: The new ownership has changed nothing about this review. Still incredible food, all of the recipes were handed over. So happy this is carrying on for another generation! Just wanted to counter a couple of the recent negative reviews. This place is truly great for lunch if you're in Totterdown. The grilled chicken rice box and wraps are perfect. The marinade and dressings on the salad are just super great. Just feels high quality and healthy with care taken in each meal they serve up. Always a happy smile when being served, its just a great local lunch place. Nothing incredibly fancy, but just reliably excellent at what they serve and always cooked fresh in front of you. The only negative thing from me is how busy they are isn't entirely related to how many people are in the shop as they take quite a few phone and collect orders. I wouldn't begrudge them this business at all though! So if on a whim you pop in its quite variable how long you wait for food, but its always worth the wait for what they hand you over the counter!”

“First time eating here and it was delicious. Excellent flavour. I went for lunch and it was £4.99 for chicken wrap (porotta). Whilst the size was perfect for me (on the small size) others might want something else to go with it. The porotta was perfection - crispy but flaky. Not had one like this in years. Person serving me was super lovely, chatty, friendly. Will definitely be returning to try other items on the menu and spreading the word.”

The food we had was out of this world and everything we saw others ordering looked just sublime. We had the swordfish which melted in the mouth and everything comes with veg and both roast and dauphinoise potatoes. If you have the chance to eat here, do so you will not regret it.”

“This is a real gem! Food is absolutely delicious, gorgeously presented and delivered by friendly staff. The entrée includes a 4 times world winner olive oil with a strong herbal flavour, which on its own would be a good enough reason to visit. Chefs mix flavours in a surprising way, but by no means strange or over the top. You will be genuinely pleasantly surprised with every dish - I can especially recommend boneless spicy chicken wings, lamb and seafood. If you opt in for a set menu, make sure you add a few tapas as well to fully appreciate what's on offer. There is a nice selection of wines and liquors, and should you enjoy cider, there is a Basque semi-dry one you cannot miss. There is only one thing this restaurant lacks: two Michelin stars! Even if you're half an hour away, the trip here will be worth it without a doubt.”
