“I was served by Jasmine, who was an absolute star, beyond friendly, quick and efficent. Will definitely be using this store again!”
“Previous reviews not a true reflection of this business - Great company to work with. Forward thinking, collaborative with retailers big and small. Moving hundreds of thousands of units every year to major retailers, GFA deserve their top spot in the motion furniture & swivel chair sector.”
“Allan was great help today at the store gave us loads of useful information in making our decision on what sort of sofa we needed and in the end we made a decision we are happy with with all his help great customer service”
“Excellent service on a very very busy day for them. The overall styles were great, definitely something for everyone. We have been buying from dfs for over 20 years and they never disappoint.”
“Purchased 2 Santina settees today, no pressure sales and plenty of time to review products. Mat guided us through the process with professionalism, good level of product knowledge, no sales pressure what so ever. Highly recommended this store and thank you Mat for your assistance today. Look forward to receiving the settees.”
“Sofa shopping, let’s be honest, is the single most exhausting pastime known to humankind. Forget marathons, childbirth, or Brexit negotiations, nothing will drain your soul quite like trudging around Cribbs Causeway with your wife, looking at a thousand slight variations of padded rectangles. The problem isn’t really the sofas themselves (although God knows some of them look like they’ve been upholstered in the skin of a startled badger). The problem is sofa shock. That moment when you realise you’re expected to lower yourself onto yet another beige monstrosity, nod appreciatively, and then get back up again, only to repeat the process across an entire retail park. It is, in fact, a tidy little paradox. The longer you sit on a sofa, the more comfortable it becomes, but in direct correlation, your will to live diminishes. Ten minutes in DFS and you’ll happily fork out for a beanbag. Twenty minutes in SCS and you’re thinking, “Do we even need furniture? Couldn’t we just squat, like medieval peasants?” Now, sofa shopping is not something you do regularly. Despite what the shops would like, it’s not a jaunty every-three-years affair. No. This is a once-in-a-decade blood pact, like renewing your passport. The evidence is right there, jammed down the side of our current sofa: a Radio Times from 2002. David Tennant wasn’t even Doctor Who yet. So, in a moment of male genius (read: cowardice), I sent out a search party in advance, namely, my wife. She produced a shortlist of sofas she liked. Which, as is the way of these things, meant a shortlist of sofas I liked. My role was not to choose but to greenlight. It’s marriage, not democracy. And then…miracle of miracles… we walked into SCS Sofas, Cribbs Causeway, and I saw one. A sofa I actually liked. “What about that one?” I ventured, expecting to be told it was the wrong size, wrong shape, wrong vibes. Instead, my wife said: “That’s the one I like.” Bull’s-eye. Done. Sofa harmony achieved. Except of course it wasn’t done. Oh no. You don’t just “buy” a sofa. You must choose colours, sizes, shapes, cushions, protection, and payment schemes that appear to have been devised by Goldman Sachs. But, and here’s the real kicker, we were rescued by Sophie. Brilliant Sophie. Patient, charming, efficient Sophie, who not only explained it all without the faintest trace of judgment, but even handwrote the dimensions for us. By this point I was so delirious that I nearly nodded off right there on the showroom floor. Which, in a way, is the highest compliment you can pay a sofa. So yes, thank you Sophie. Thank you SCS. Thank you, sofa gods, for ending the torment. We are now the proud owners of a new sofa, which will no doubt survive until the 2040 Olympics and still contain the fossilised remains of 2025’s iPhone cables.”
“I have just received exceptional service from this store. I have mobility issues and couldn't return a faulty TV. One of the manager came to deliver me a new one and then took the old one away. He was really friendly and really happy to help. Thank you so much”
“Very handy shop. When you need something quickly, most of the time, they will have it. The mail collection point is very useful and the staff always helpful and friendly. Very sad if they knock down the Galleries.”
“Thank you Swadea for going above and beyond for me you are a big asset to Argos”
“Always had a bargain, staff and delivery drivers are very helpful and careful. Used this store numerous occasions, items are clean and well priced. Surprised me to see negative comments. Very happy customer!”

“Placed a order for a bistro set but had to collect this from another store the other side of down. Well parts missing and was really disappointed , rang the store were I collected it from but no help. Then did one of those live chats and it was like talking to a robot and almost gave up. Decided to come to my local store in Filton and met a lovely young man called Chris who went above and beyond , great customer service, so friendly, helpful and very professional. I can not recommend this store enough, every time I have shopped here the staff have also been brilliant but today was even more so , can’t thank you enough.”
“Very helpful lady assisted me (Katy I think). I originally visited on Saturday 9th but the tills went down and everyone had to leave the store. Went back on Sunday 10th and completed my order. Quite substantial as am furnishing a flat so also booked delivery. Cant't fault the store, except that the fridge I wanted had been sold, but they have a quick turn around and providing I see one by the day before my delivery, they will add it onto my order. Will definitely be back for more.”
“Robert Dyas – Bristol – I don’t know why this place has such a low rating. I practically never leave the store without something I need. The staff are friendly, and the shop is always clean. Highly recommend!”
“Great service from staff at reasonable prices and fast cheap delivery 5*”
“I have just had the interior roof lining of my 2007 VW Jetta renewed by Tomasz. Words cannot really describe the the service and quality of the work, I can strongly recommend Tomasz for very good quality work at a reasonable price.”
“I’m absolutely delighted with my gorgeous reconditioned table and chairs from @upcycledbym I’ve been communicated to every step of the way and the service impeccable, we were even gifted this beautiful table runner and a cute little tray to match our cottage . I couldn’t recommend them enough . I’m looking forward to many special celebrations around my dream table”
“Highly recommended. Olympia made an outstanding job of reupholstering my small bedroom chaise, it is a complete transformation. The quality of the workmanship is excellent and the team at this well established family firm were a pleasure to work with. We look forward to using their services for future upholstery projects and would have no hesitation in recommending them. Thank you.”
“First class service from start to finish. Ben took care to talk through all the options for beds and matresses, taking care of my son's needs . Delivery went above and beyond and the price was really reasonable for great quality. Thank you Ben and team. I will be back.”
“Woodstock have been fantastic! Mark is incredibly knowledgeable and helped us to select a new fire, heath and mantel. We needed the fire installed on a specific date so Mark worked with Rob (the fitter) to accommodate the tight timeline. Rob was also brilliant, taking care to ensure minimal mess and disruption during the install, and he also fixed a crack in the chimney flaunching whilst up on the roof. Brilliant service from Woodstock and I would certainly recommend, we are delighted with the new fire (Classic Buddy 5 Wide).”
“We recently used SW Upholstery to reinvigorate some of the cushions of our existing corner sofa. The "corner" area gets the most use and was beginning to sag and really lose its shape. SWU took the covers from the three affected cushions and refilled with new, firmer, filling. The sofa is back looking like new. Very pleased with the cost too, and the team were very friendly throughout the process.”
“Products exactly as described on web site. Beautifully packed (1000mm very small sections) and arrived in perfect condition. I would recommend.”
“Kris and his team at IT Storeroom are my go-to for business supplies. Their great pricing, product advice and exceptional turnaround make them stand out. From PC monitors to PPE, they offer top-notch products at competitive rates, saving me money without compromising quality. Their swift delivery ensures I never face supply shortages or delays. Beyond that, their unparalleled customer service sets them apart, always available to provide expert advice. IT Storeroom has become my trusted partner, and I highly recommend them to any business in need of reliable supply solutions.”
“Lucky us to find such a lovely antique shop rather than the usual junk-type antiques so common these days. Beau Nash is special - high quality antiques and lovely Cynthia who is very knowledgeable and kind enough to let us take the George III mirror we bought home to London to try. If we didn't think it fitted, a colleague (who visits London regularly) could come and collect. Needless to say, it is perfect - well worth the wait and travelling 200 miles! We will definitely come to Beau Nash again.”
“Nick was recommended to us when we decided on a new bathroom, and we couldn’t be happier with the service and approach he took to fitting our new bathroom. He does a truly amazing job, protects the rest of the house as he brings parts in, and is quiet and respectful while working. Couldn’t recommend Nick more highly and he’ll be the first person we go to for any more work.”
“A great place for independent, sustainable shopping, I would highly recommend a visit, they do online sales too, make sure to look at the Prior Shop website”
“Always great friendly service and help with loading is a brilliant human touch in this day and age of self service. Prices are very reasonable and have a big range of timber.”
“I have recently received a sofa I ordered less than six weeks ago. Very pleased with the result . Also moving another of their sofas to a different room in the house was handled with ease. Andy came and discussed my requirements. I have been very impressed with advice, order and delivery. Highly recommend the team.”
“Rooted is an all around incredible place for food, the menu is super creative and full of choice! However! Their vegan roast is literally the best roast I’ve had in Bath, and I’d go as far as to say the best roast in the South West, get one, you won’t be disappointed ❤️”
