“Beautiful pub. Huge car park. Alpaca area is great if you have kids. Sunday roast is very nice. Locals are really friendly too and the pub in general is so welcoming to all.”

“Made a last minute reservation for 5pm on New Year's Eve. For visit since it reopened as restaurant within The Red Lion. Lively deco , very clean , excellent welcome. Great menu with interesting Indian dishes as well as British and Italian food. We just had a starter and main course with side dishes and it was delicious. Full of delicate spices and not too hot , just right. A thoroughly delightful meal. The staff were attentive but not overbearing and served each dish with a broad smile , making us feel almost at home. The restaurant was fully booked from 7pm but they let us finish our drinks in the bar/ restaurant area up until we left at 7pm. What seemed like a boringly quite evening turned out to be just what we wanted. A return , with friends will be booked very soon. Highly recommended.”

“Probably the best fish and chip shop in Cardiff. Lovely food , big portions, super friendly staff who say hello and serve you quickly. There is a to to watch if you do have to wait and a cash machine just outside. The battered sausages are brilliant, the fish is Fab and you get loads of nice fresh chips. Very clean, never had a bad experience with any of the food there. Definitely worth a visit.”

“We visited as a large group to celebrate a birthday, and both the food and service were fantastic. The staff did an excellent job serving all 13 of us efficiently, and everyone’s steaks were cooked perfectly. The house wine was great value too. When it came to settle at the end, the bill didn’t clearly list each item, which made it a bit awkward to work out what everyone owed. I’m worried that the extra tip each of us contributed, may have been accidentally absorbed into the remaining balance for the person who paid last. I think due to this, we didn’t leave anything for the wonderful service. This was totally our fault! We will make up for it when we return as we’ll definitely be back!”

“A few if us went for the lobster meal. Lobster, a very messy eat which takes a bit of effort, but well worth it. We had a few of the sides, and decided to order some of the lobster rolls at the end. The lobster rolls were amazing.”

“We had our wedding celebration at The Athenian Tree in August 2025. The owners and staff were highly accommodating and went above and beyond ensuring our special day was the best ever. We had a small celebration with a total of 34 people. The food was great - traditional, delicious and very big portions! All our guests commented on how good the food was and how well the restaurant catered for our celebration. The owners were incredible hosts and kindly allowed us to rearrange the tables to create a better atmosphere for the guests ensuring that it felt like a celebration and not just an afternoon at a restaurant. The service was excellent! We would highly recommend The Athenian Tree for great Greek Food whether it is for a celebration, a meal out or even for a cosy take-away night in.”

“Really nice beach side coffee shop. Went in for a drink to take for our travel home. I got a kinder latte and my friend got a chai latte (?) With oat milk. The gent that served us was amazing and even asked if the alternate milk choice was a preference or an intolerance. When told it was an intolerance he told us it would be done in a seperate jug and cleaned twice. Very good with allergens!”

“Everything about this place is perfect. The decor is warm, welcoming and charming. The service is friendly and the food is really tasty and great value for money. My grandparents are regulars and recommended the place and it will now be a definite place to go when I am back in the area on another Somerset visit! Would recommend and return.”

“Brilliant afternoon tea experience for myself and partner with our 2.5 year old daughter. Jane and the team were very accompanying of her and even did a mini afternoon tea for her. The afternoon tea itself was superb too, I ate it all! Lovely old school furniture and feel to the place with a welcoming team. Very clean and tidy. Great to have 2 hours free parking just across the road. Would highly recommend anyone to visit jaspers if they want a great experience of afternoon tea! Love the paintings around the place too. We will be back!”

“Nick’s is brilliant. In a time where service is usually poor, these guys have always stood out! They’re kind and always helpful, engaging with children, have recommendations and always come smiling! The food is incredible; portions are generous without compromising on quality and the consistency seems to be there as well have been a couple of times. Even simple things like a Greek salad are done well! Highly recommend and will be returning again very soon!”

“Came in with a few of my friends this past weekend, really great vibe and energy here. We made the most of the two cocktails for £14 and had a couple of cocktails, Pina Coladas, Lemon Sours, Hugo Spritz and two Brambles, which are pictured. They all tasted great and were made at the bar just in front of us so we could see the making process. We shared a few sides off the menu, the truffle fries and tenderstem broccoli between us, which also came out quickly, they were really nice and would order again. One of the waitresses was kind enough to take our picture there, 10/10 would return again for a proper sit down meal.”

“I booked the Fairwater Pub's function room for my sisters birthday recently and it was amazing. All of the staff were welcoming and friendly from the moment I started setting up to the very end of the night. The communication between myself and the Landlady and Landlord was smooth and very clear. They offered me tables and let me lay out the room how I felt best. They let us have a DJ there and our own catering. The price for the room was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone. I would defiantly go back and I can't thank them enough! Happy smiles all around”

“Wow, what a Sunday lunch treat! The food is modern pub fare with a bit of a twist but still generous and flavorful. The service was very attentive and kind. I enjoyed the fish and chips a lot and found the reinvented tartare sauce and the unmushed peas great accompaniments. My partner had roast and was thoroughly satisfied. The veggies weren’t soft and overcooked as it sometimes happens with roast sides. Definitely high quality produce prepared with care and thought, and great value for money. 100% recommend!”

“Super lush vibes! Why have I never visited before? I needed a place to go for an hour or so whilst sorting my car out and I came to Caesers! I have walked past a lot and has always been busy and I have never been in until today, and its lovely! Super welcoming team, nice and clean place and the coffee selections is great! (Lady with multicoloured hair gave me the lowdown of all the syrups and thank god as what I was going for was not what I ended up having as they had my fav Mint!) I had a coffee (which was huge) and a toasted teacake and both were stun! I will be visiting more often now as I so underestimated this place and I am sorry for that!”

“Just had the best birthday meal with the family! The food was absolutely fantastic—I couldn’t fault the Buttermilk Fried Chicken, and my nan loved the Flat Iron Steak (though I think she pinched most of the gravy!).
