After doing a bit of research, it turns out I was wearing the wrong size and wrong style shoe for the treadmill (no more battering trail shoes for me!). “Stayed over 1 night as visiting Cwmbran. Lovely double bedroom Coffee/hot chocolate and tea available. Bathroom to a standard. If you add breakfast, dining area is very good. Only let down was that you had to have waitress service for hot drinks and cups were very small. Maybe provide a larger cup !!! Self service on break buffet. Cold drinks , juices, fruit, toast and jam available. It is best to ask for veggie sausages if you are veggie before breakfast starts, as not cooked in buffet selection.”

“I have been using Jottnar for the past 2 years. As a landscape photographer I find myself in some rather harsh conditions, often standing about being battered by the weather. I have purchased and extensive range of items from them, from thermals, mid layers, down jackets and hard shell. All have performed like what is to be expected and I have remained warm and dry. In response to some that have mentioned customer service. On 2 occasions i have had a problem with a hard shell jacket. On both occasions the matter has been dealt with and rectified within days. A new item sent out on both occasions. I have had ZERO problems with any other item. On both occasions I have dealt with Morgan who has been absolutely fantastic. Personally i can not recommend Morgan or Jottnar highly enough for a complete quality service. Yes they are expensive, but they do often have sales, and you get what you pay for in the end. I would sooner spend to be warm and dry rather than save to be cold and wet.”

“Amazing value for money. High quality winter clothes at really affordable prices. Good variety as well. We bought walking shoes and kids jackets and for adults we bought a lot as well. I just could not believe how great the prices were. We are from Perth and to get anything similar we have to go to a store like Kathmandu and pay 3 times as much and the quality would be comparable. Staff are friendly and goods are well displayed. Tq for a great shopping experience ..”

Working in retail I expected them to say they had no control of online orders, which I'd know to be true. However, the manager Megan was brilliant, she took complete ownership of the issue and resolved it for me right then. “Outstanding store. It started by being greeted by a member of the team, asking what I was interested in. I needed school shoes for my 11 year old so was directed to another section of the store to queue. I also have 2 Sen children who were getting distressed with queuing and the volume of people. We then saw Isaac who got my 11 year old’s feet measured and because of the distress of my Sen children, mentioned Clark’s offer closed appointments for Sen children and would we be interested to come back at a quieter time. I haven’t had my Sen children’s feet measured because it’s so stressful and weren’t there to buy for them but actually thought, yes, that would be amazing! A wonderful lady called Amy then approached us and rather than offering us an appointment to come back, she took us away from the crowds and said I’ll do it now for you. She took us to a quiet section and my children eventually calmed. They’re in pushchairs and she was unable to measure their feet in their contraptions so we attempted to take them out but they were so content at this point because it was quiet and she spoke so softly that the children were actually happy to be touched by her. Amazing service from start to finish and 3 pairs of shoes purchased rather than just the one. I didn’t think it was physically possibly to measure my Sen children (from past experience) but Amy has restored my faith and I can’t thank her enough for looking after us so well”

“Needed a new Windbreaker. Called the Weston Super Mare branch. James, who took the call, told me he had a few left. So I asked him to put one by for me, which he did. Went on to collect it later that day, and he said, as he only had a few left, he'll give me an extra 10% off. Brilliant! Once, back at camp, found the poles to be different to what they should be. Called James, and he said, no worries, bring it back, and I'll exchange it for another one. Which he did, without any issues. And as a bonus, as he said, this will end up in the bin, as it's wrong, I'll give you the 4 correct pieces of pole, so you have spares. Fantastic! Brilliant service. Thank you so much James, you are an absolute superstar!”
