“This was my 2nd time staying at the Basinghall site, and I would happily stay there again as the suites are of an overall high quality in a fabulous central location, and I have found them to be both comfortable and great value on both occasions. The location is superb, right in the City Centre with bars, restaurants, all the shops you could want and Express supermarkets all within minutes walk. It’s a very easy walk to and from the train station too from there. As the building has no reception, check in is round the corner at their other site just off The Headrow, and has limited hours but I was aware that self check in was possible if not within those times. I was also aware there was a pretty sizeable deposit to be taken for breakages etc (in my experience the deposit is refunded within 2 working days). Staff on Reception were very efficient and I had key cards within a few minutes. The building itself is pretty plain from the outside, but inside is nice and fairly elegant. My experience was that it was very quiet all evening. The suite given to me on both occasions was slightly below ground level accessible by a few stairs, facing an internal courtyard, so the view wasn’t inspiring to say the least!!Other floors are accessible by lift. The suite was clean, with what I thought was a very tastefully done decor, and contains a very large living area with the back wall containing a kitchen area with full size fridge, worktop, Bosch cooker and hob, washing machine and dishwasher. A dishwasher tablet is provided, along with cutlery and dishes and other cooking and cleaning implements, and two bottles of complimentary water were in the fridge. The bin was a bit bashed in, which slightly spoiled the otherwise immaculate area. Opposite to the kitchen area is a dining table (the table was already laid as if for dinner for two - I can’t say I’m a fan of this as it just allows dust to gather, but the plates and table looked clean), comfortable sofa and armchair and Samsung TV with full access to their Apps. The bathroom is a good size, with both overhead rain shower and smaller shower head working very well. The basin area has sufficient room to place a good amount of bathroom products on it. Towels were of a good standard. Dressing gowns were also provided. The bedroom contains another Samsung app enabled tv, a chest of drawers, bedside tables on either side and a wardrobe including a safe. The bed itself was big and very comfortable but was rather low down - my preference would be for it to be on a higher base. I had no major issues during what was a relaxing stay, although on both occasions I’ve found the air conditioning to be completely ineffective and if temperatures were higher I imagine it could get uncomfortable given the location within the building and minimal air flow - as it was, with the windows open as much as they could all night (which isn’t a lot), it was fine. I also realised during the evening that no cups were in the cupboards and certain cutlery was missing from the table - it turned out that these were in the dishwasher and unwashed which was annoying and did lead to questions about whether staff are checking the appliances regularly after each stay. However, these ultimately minor inconveniences in the circumstances didn’t detract from a very comfortable and good value stay.”

“A little basic, room was okay for a night but wouldn't want to do an extended stay. No tea or coffee in the room was a bit surprising, but maybe I missed that in my research. Clean, comfy, warm and friendly. Would stay again if it was just night or two. Breakfast was basic toast, cereal, croissant etc. Again nothing special but did the job”

“After being scammed by a company that rhymes with Musk, my faith in bed ordering was rather low. Given that showrooms are not as accessible as they used to be where you can try the product, online purchasing has become the norm and it is really difficult to find reliable companies that actually deliver. Magna Beds is just that kind of company. I want to say firstly, I'm not paid or sponsored to leave this review. I just figured if there is anyone else who was in a similar boat looking for a reputable company and unsure of which company to go for. After looking at the pictures of the beds and seeing actual Google reviews with real pictures and none of those AI ones, I decided to give it a leap of faith and boy, was I not disappointed by my bed. (Don't be fooled by the one negative review on their site - I think it's a bot because it has left several similar messages on other websites). My bed ordering was a smooth service. I spoke with Danny and received swatch samples via 1st class delivery. Excellent! These swatches proved useful later on when looking for bedding, decorating and accessories. The bed delivery had its challenges. Danny kindly ensured he could get the bed delivery on a Saturday as I have a front desk role, which means I can't have it delivered during the weekday afternoons. However, when I was in contact with both a lady and gentleman from V1 Distribution, (I apologise I can't remember their names), they confirmed they didn't deliver after 6pm in my area and didn't deliver on weekends - despite Danny getting the confirmation from them that they did deliver on weekends. After some back and forth with V1 Distribution where I reiterated that I needed the bed on the Saturday - getting to the point that I requested annual leave during the weekday to get it sorted, they finally confirmed they could deliver on Saturday. Communication can be easily fed back via a link that V1 Distribution provide so that was really handy to have confirm details and my bed was delivered on time by Jass and Joban. While putting the bed boxes in the right order may not be in their job description (I bought an ottoman bed), they kindly ensured it was in the right order upon delivery and upon my request and left me to unpack the rest. They were careful with the handling of the delivery but I must make aware there was a slight scuffing to the side of one of the beds due to a tear from the cardboard box packaging protecting the box. (Close-up of the scratch in the image provided). It's not too noticeable and luckily, the material is a velvet brush finish so it's easy to blend in. On that note about the velvet finish, it can rub against the walls and leave a slight mark - maybe because of the colour. I have very white walls so everything kind of sticks to it but I can confirm the colour rubs off easily with a warm damp cloth and if you're feeling extra, one of those eraser sponges. One thing to mention is my bed didn't come with instructions so I had to request those from Danny, who kindly provided them. My ottoman bed's loaded spring pumps were partially attached but the wrong way around - they should be heavy side down and the thinner bit upwards. I only learned this through both Danny's links and through scouring YouTube. Danny also kindly assisted me on a late phone call when I was struggling to close the bed for the first time - which, for any ottoman bed users, will know it's always stiff and difficult to close the first time around and you need to put the mattress on first when closing it as it'll be easier to close with the weight and I was really struggling at the time but luckily my flatmate came in the nick of time to help me. @Danny - I would advise getting the links and/or instructions manual PDF'd as a resource to hand to send prior to delivery so that each user can see it before receiving the bed. PDFs would be easier rather than hardcopy and saves printing costs and paper. All in all, the bed was well worth it, I have received many compliments for it and check out my pictures with the final reveal!”

“I could write a book about how good this team are so I've also added a TL:DR. From the moment we entered the showroom to the final snagging, they listened to what we wanted, advised objectively and wisely and never tried to upsell. We wanted a lovely kitchen with full project management and I also have mobility and strength issues and Jasmine designed a kitchen that was easy to navigate while Tammy was really knowledgeable about adaptations that would help me. No one looks forward to a kitchen fit but Matt and Craig made it as easy as possible, very considerate and not phased by having to accommodate 2 people working from home and 2 cats constantly trying to kill them. The project management and fitting was next level, suggesting adjustments that would add value, they are both perfectionists and a joy to have in your home. The whole team take pride in their work. Just one example of the the fabulous service. We switched to an induction hob and our pans didn't work. 2 hours later and on a Sunday afternoon Tammy turned up with a new pan set. TL:DR: Amazing design, product, service and craftsmanship. Lovely people. Use them.”
