“The rooms were comfortable, quiet and clean. I kept the bedroom door open by using a pair of shoes as a doorstop. Having a washing machine and clothes rack was useful, room 503 looks to the west, getting the afternoon sun and sunsets. Staff were friendly. The gym is small with five cardio machines and a dumbbell rack. It's only 5 minutes walk from the station, close to the city centre and plenty of good restaurants and cafes nearby.”

“The service Ben Banks has provided has been impeccable. He has been very personable throughout the whole process. He keeps me in the loop of the market situation and offers expert advice. He’s also not a bad photographer. The pics of the house are amazing quality. The contact and friendliness of the Garforth team is second to non and they all work hard to get our house out there. “Location - magical. I had to hold my breath coming through to the farm. Good job it’s not that long a journey off the main road, really. Rooms - I stayed in a single room no 1, en-suite. Don’t like single rooms normally, but this is a huge exception. Cozy, comfortable, I had all the things I needed and a comfy window seat looking out at more, erm, magic. See location. I could swear there were lanterns and pixies at night out there Service - Paula is a saint. I’ve thrown every odd request in the book at her. Arrived late, forgot my room keys, some dastardly, unreasonable breakfast request. No problem. Other stuff - there is wicked circular run out of the door with some stunning views. - the outdoor seating is fab, and there is a bbq - I was here for work in Ilkley but would happily come back for leisure - easy to get to Skipton or Ilkley or Bradford”

“We cannot recommend this B&B enough. Simon's porridge and full English breakfasts were wonderful, with homemade bread readily available. Our room room was clean and beyond comfortable. To name a few amenities, there were heated towel racks, robes, and locally-made, excellent mattresses. Both host and hostess went above and beyond to help us navigate a few unexpected circumstances by connecting us with local resources. We will be returning if we can!!!”

“We have driven past the Robin Hood so many times over the years and just hadn't realised what we've been missing! Inside, it has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and an authentic character which so many pubs have lost. The tick list includes: Good choice of real ales; dog friendly; real fire; friendly and enthusiastic staff; excellent quality food; broad choice menu; great value; homely decorations for the Christmas season. We were lucky to be there for the Early Bird Christmas Menu... 3 home cooked courses with all the trimmings. All courses well cooked, very tasty and great quality. We will be back... we didn't need to book this time as it was a wet and windy Wednesday lunchtime, but I think we'll book our next visit to avoid disappointment.”

“First time we have used elmsall kennels and I can say will definitely use them again. Mabel our 2 year labrador was a little nervous but she is of most people to begin with . But they put my mind at ease straite away with how genuinely caring they where with her. We picked her up two weeks later and mabel was fine well cared for not just left in a cage till we came back . She was walked twice a day compared to the previous one last year that she stayed in . So basically if you love your dog or cat I would highly recommend elmsall kennels and cattery. 10/10”

“Excellent place to stay for quiet and to be honest it's why we went. The carriage has everything needed for a comfy and pleasant stay and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. Skipwith common was excellent for the dog. Loved the place and will return. It should go without saying but you will need a car if you intend on going to towns and villages. Can't speak highly enough of Skipwith Station, book it.”

“We stayed at Ascot House for a few days last week. This is our 3rd visit to York, and our 3rd time staying here. As always it was a pleasure. June , the proprietor is so lovely, as are all the staff. The room was very spacious, comfortable bed , fabulous bathroom. It is in a great location, a short stroll into town. “It was a beautiful place in a beautiful location. Perfect for a wedding we were going to at the old barn. Val and Gerry made sure we were welcomed and well looked after. Lots of advice and tips for where to go for food and walks in the area. The room was HUGE and very comfortable, had all the amenities we needed, the views were stunning too. “We visited the tui Pontefract store for some ideas for a wedding package abroad for me and my fiancé and we wasn’t disappointed. We was looking at the brochures and had no clue what would be the best package was for us. “Have been going here twice a year since before COVID, the leaflet really does not do it justice. Rod and Peggy cannot do enough for you. You only have to ask. I am a wheelchair user and there is plenty of room for me to move around. I also do craft stuff, so if my husband wants to do something I can stay in and he can go where he wants. I cannot recommend this place enough, nor the amenities, and York is not that far away, and the Designer Outlet is even closer. You will also fine the Park and Ride here and use this bus into York saves all the hassle of driving around Looking for car parking.”
