“Wonderful staff! Very caring and attentive to fulfill our needs. My son needed shoes. After trying at the 'cheapo' place next door because we couldn't find the size we ignored Trespass because I thought it would only have hiking boots so tried the sportswear shop in same plaza. They had ridiculous prices on account of the designer labels. Trepass had perfect durable, light weight shoes and amazing anti blister socks for a great price. Don't overlook this shop they have much more than just outdoor stuff. Best of all are the friendly and helpful staff!”

The gentleman in the shop picked out a full outfit for me and I look fantastic. He knew all my sizes by just looking at me. The whole experience was brilliant I will definitely return here. At York they left the security tag and despite living over 60 miles from York the only offer they made was to take the tag off if I went back to the store. I decided to go to Mansfield as this was slightly nearer. Staff more helpful and the store was much better than the one in York.”

“Went in with my family for a number of clothing items and boots. Dave and Elle were very helpful. Dave is very knowledgeable and advised and helped us to choose the correct clothing required for our trip. Elle helped us looking for our sizes, checking in the back stores also. Nothing was too much trouble. We had been in other stores such as Mountain Warehouse and Regatta and the staff had just been confusing with their advice and we had left with a headache. Dave and Elle made the experience pleasant. I would definately recommend Blacks at Castleford Freeport and we will be visited again.”

“All of the staff are helpful and friendly. Conor, Tania and Holly and others have done their best to try to find me some shoes to fit my dodgy feet. I wear orthotics, have a left size 7 and a right size 8, both wide, one flat which has had surgery and both are painful. I have returned numerous pairs after trying them at home and not once have I been viewed as a nuisance. They go out of their way to try to find shoes to fit. I have no hesitation in recommending this store and will return once the autumn ranges are in stock.”
