“Good location!!!Hotel in the heart of the city centre!!! Parking though was about 8-10 away from hotel ( market st)but quite reasonably priced considering the time spent and discounted ( 2 nights). Breakfast was very good with vegan sausages,scrambled eggs,beans etc etc. Room was adequate enough even though I ended up with a two single beds accommodation!!! Shower lovely and hot-great!!! Front desk and staff at the hotel very very welcoming especially manager( Denise) ,I think that was her name and male sidekick !!! All and all a good stay and will be returning again!!!! “Location of the hostel is good , walking distance to the city centre, 14 min walk to the Triniti shopping centre. Hostel is in quiet neighbourhood, 5 min away from supermarkets and Fast food , restaurants. What I like the most in this hostel is very polite receptionists , and peace and quiet . Even is hostel full , still people respect other people, no noise at all .Even we have a room next to the common area, there is no noise. Kitchen was clean, toilets as well. Breakfast is free, toast bread, lots of jam, honey, chocolate cream, cereals, tea coffee and milk. And they restock all the time.I recommended this hostel and I will back again.”

“Kevin was such a knowledgeable guide! We really enjoyed the two-hour walking tour, and it’s amazing that it was all free through the Association of Voluntary Guides of York. He took us along the Roman walls and explained the timeline of when the Romans and Vikings arrived in York, which made the city’s history so much easier to picture. Such a great way to see York definitely support these volunteers if you get the chance!”

“First time using the garage as my old one turned me away when i asked about approved parts for my warranty to remain valid and Thorpe brothers gave me a really decent quote, friendly and made sure all my documents were ready including signing service book so everything was done for me collecting it . Will definitely use them again also in a good location easy to get to !”

He did an excellent job in walking us through the history of York from the Romans to the railways and was able to link the development of the city to landmarks that we passed - with a great commentary, extraordinary historical knowledge and a lot of humourous anecdotes thrown in. One of the best walking tours I have been on and I would thoroughly recommend this tour.”

“We had a wonderful day out on the Steam train, Whitby & the moors tour. Chris was a fantastic tour guide, full of interesting facts and information. The small group made it feel more personal as if you have a private tour guide. The trip across the moors was spectacular! The views breathtaking and Chris would stop off at points where we could get out and take pictures or just take in the amazing scenery. The whole day was brilliant, topped off with the Steam Train journey! I would highly recommend this trip with Chris. Thank you for a fantastic day.”

“If you visit Rosa, you must try the chicken rice — it’s incredibly delicious and tastes just like home in Thailand! The dipping sauce is perfect, the appetizers are great, and the noodles are amazing too. Every dish is full of authentic flavor. The restaurant has a cozy, lovely atmosphere with friendly service. Definitely worth a visit — highly recommended!”

“What an amazing little restaurant/cafe. Don't know why, always thought it was French when walking by but curiously stopped by peeking in at the pastry.... To my surprise its a wholly Moroccan affair. Had to stop for an expresso and a pastry and I won't lie, I'm going to have to come back to try the breakfasts.... And then the lunch..... And then the dinners! Super friendly, warm atmosphere with lovely smelling food! -Edit- Have now been for lunch and can confirm the prices are hella reasonable, the food delicious and seemingly all home made! Highly recommended!”

“Currently having smilewhite treatment at Headrow Dental and after a bad experience with other dentist practices, I was referred to headrow dental and since then have had nothing but positive experience. They are regularly checking up on me and my dentist Dr Aman bharti keeps me at ease and is so professional and friendly. The other members of the team at headrow dental (especially Louise on reception) also make visits here a real pleasant experience, will be continuing to visit this dentist even when my treatment has finished :)”

“Love living at the Headline. There are very nice communal areas and also fun events they put on for the residents (coaster making workshop, macrame workshop, summer and xmas parties, etc). Amazing and friendly staff too - Corinne, Coren, Joe and George. They are always willing to help and make you feel safe and comfortable living there.”

“The place is an Absolute hidden gem. The building is stunning and the new beer garden is perfect for all ages. The food is amazing and caters for all tastes. The owners and staff are very professional and welcoming. If you’ve never tried the Circle it’s an absolute must. Even a Bouncy castle for the kids inside. 5 stars doesn’t do it justice.”
