βI had a blast on the Pugneys Light Railway today. Everyone I met there was superb, from the lady taking tickets to the gentleman driving the train. I had a very excitable autistic young man with me and everyone gave us plenty of space so I could make sure he was safe and enjoyed himself. The ride itself was really fun, there were two trains running so pretty much no wait to ride, and it was only Β£2 a head which is cracking great value. I may have to go back on my own some time!β
βPrices on a par with other "corner" shops but with lots of items on offer, Staff have always been polite and friendly to me and have given great service. Can't think of anything to complain about.β

βOrdered a Too Good To Go Magic Bag for collection between 5.30pm-6pm. An hour before the allocated collection slot I received a notification telling me the collection time had been put back to between 6pm-6.15pm. A little annoying as I already had plans in place and had to shift them around to make the new collection time. I live in Huddersfield so the drive to Ossett is 25 mins. By the time I got to the pub car park I realised I had received another notification, now telling me the bag had been cancelled completely as there was no surplus food available. The cancellation notification was sent exactly 9 mins before the collection slot. I'm not angry that there was no surplus food available, just very annoyed that I made a 50 mins round trip for nothing. Why could you not have cancelled the order with more notice because 9 mins is really not enough? Other reviews suggest the food here is excellent and Dan is a nice chap (hence why I came from further away to get a Magic Bag to try) so I am not going to tarnish his record by leaving a low star review. But please Dan, if you read this, could you at least consider giving more notice when you cancel the Too Good To Go Magic Bags. I've been buying bags on Too Good to Go for a while now from various businesses, and only other has cancelled my order - but they gave 4 hour's notice not 9 mins.β
βThis is such a beautifully kept dog field, it is well cared for and very secure, it has a shelter if it rains or to get out of the sun, plenty of fresh water, and is in a beautiful setting, really recommend it.β
βFirst time , shared the cookie dough, was amazing, not sure I could have done it on my own, huge portions, really nice young chap served us tooβ
βDucks are cute. View is good in night time. Picnic is recommended.β
βExcellent service offered by Victoria. Rarely do you see rather enthusiasm, knowledge and professionalism like she shows. By questioning to understand how we would use the bathroom she designed every small detail. The products are excellent quality . The knowledge of the whole team impeccable. A true perfectionist. Cannot recommend enough.β

βGreat circular walk, took us 3 hours to do at a slow pace. Easy enough for children and some great views on the wayβ
βThe service is excellent, the staff are very find and helpful, especially I would mention Shahid. The food is nice just some a bit chilly.β
βA really nice park that is filled with lots of green space and features to see. The trees are really interesting to walk through and there is lots of open space to sit and relax and appreciate the outdoors in.β
βBeautiful place for a walk- lots of ducks and wild waterfowl, so dogs need to be controlled around wildlife! Difficult to find parking sometimes as not well marked on Google maps but an easy walk from the village.β
βThey sell just about anything you need. My journey took me there looking for inner soles, and I found some. The place is so big it took me two trips up and down the aisles, and then finally grabbing a stray employee to help me find them. More signage? The store is clean and tidy. And the Garden centre looked interesting. Nice to see the healthy looking plants standing outside the store were not wilting, and reasonable priced too. Needless to say I left B&M with quite a bit more than the innersoles.β
βWe brought around 50 people to Diggerland at the weekend, and the feedback has been incredible! All week weβve been hearing how wonderful the day was and how outstanding the staff were. Many of our members even commented that it felt like a special autism-friendly day because of how patient, supportive, and understanding the team was. That speaks volumes about the kindness and professionalism of your staff. Despite the cold, rainy weather, your team managed to make the day feel warm, welcoming, and full of fun. Everyone left with smiles and happy memories β which is all we could have hoped for. A huge thank you and a big pat on the back to all of you at Diggerland. You truly went above and beyond, and weβre already looking forward to coming back next year!β

βThis is lovely, quiet part of Horsforth Park that tends to get overlooked. Especially colourful in Autumn.β
βGorgeous hidden gem, beautiful spot for wildwater swimming, picnic and disposable bbq. Take a padded blanket to sit on though as beach in pebbley. Also swimming shoes would be a good shout as pebbley in water.β

βMy friend and I booked out 30th party here in the function/games area and it could not have been better! We were well looked after by all the staff, especially Amy, Annabelle and Ollie the manager was extra attentive to any questions or needs we had on the night. From fast and friendly service to sorting out the music for the venue for us, it was fab. The food for the buffet was delicious, some of our guests commented on how lovely it was presented, tasted, and the variety. The DJ that came on at 10pm also took song requests meaning it was more of a special night for us. The games were a great add on to our event and just overall a fun venue. It was clean and a perfect sized space for our event. Special thanks to Louise, the events manager, she was very responsive to emails and brilliantly helpful for the organisation of our event and when meeting her she was also very welcoming, friendly and gave us amazing offers. Thank you to all for a memorable 30th party!β
βWhat a little gem! I didn't know this place existed until I was googling things to do. I took my 2 children aged 9 & 2 and they both had the most amazing day, as did I. The tropical house has so much to see and is far bigger than I ever expected. The only negative I have to mention is a lot of the glass in the tanks is quite dirty so it can be hard to see the fish but I imagine this isn't an easy job to clean. This aside, we loved everything about it and will definitely be back. The price is brilliant and even better if you have a max card, 1 adult goes free and under 3's are free too! We ate in the cafe and food was freshly prepared and tasty, price wise I don't think it was too bad for what you got. Lots of space to eat and you can enjoy your own food in the outside picnic area! We will definitely visit again.β
βGreat breakfast in a box (take out) beans, mushrooms, and tomatoes all in individual pots keeping them pipping hot! 2 Bacon, 2 eggs, 2 sausages toast 2 hashbrowns all adds up to a great breakfast i can recommend this! The picture shows the latest upto date menu as of November 2020β
