“Nice cosy cafe place at the heart of Abbey Park, Leicester. Prices are reasonable. Carrot cake was really tasty. Scones were super fresh. They even serve samosas which was quite suprising. Moreover it is right next to historical ruins and river banks. Loved the atmosphere and I highly recommend this place. Nice stopover after a long walk in the park”

“Excellent for children. Price is very good at £4 and 1 adult free (off- peak rates), additional adults is £1.50 each, there is a 2 hour limit, but we were their over 3 hours... No one said anything! Lots to do for all ages of kids. Climbing wall was closed when we went. Free parking is available and it was not full during term time. Make sure you put your car reg details in the screen when you enter the fun valley or you will possibly be fined. Cafe is nice, cheap and cheerful. Kids will like chips and some fruit shoot or slush! They will eat only half and run off to play again! All in all a very decent place for kids to run, jump and slide around.”

“We went here as part of the cafe settle training for our Guide Dog puppies. The cafe was great and very welcoming. There was a good choice of produce and our food and drinks arrived quickly”

“Been using this place for a few months now. Amazingly cheap prices. A lot of the time but one get one free on uber eats. Great taste and amazing pizza and burgers. Old school but great. For 12 pound we had 2xburger, 2 lots of chips, 2 drinks, 6 boneless chicken pieces and lots of popcorn chicken brilliant price for this day and age!!”

“We placed a delivery the food that came smelt amazing the rice was soft and fluffy and delicious the meat was very flavour full and tasty overall would definitely order again”

“Dined here for the first time a week or so back and was so pleasantly surprised that we booked a table for the family for fathers day. Today was a fantastic experience. We were seated very quickly and served drinks straight away. Sophie and the other ladies made sure we had everything we needed. They were all very friendly and pleasant to deal with. Food, once again was incredible so hats off to the chef. A gem of a place for many reasons. Will definitely return.”

“50p Pool table with chalk and usable cues, not much on draft but we stayed for a couple of pints and some pool. Lovely old pub and needs more visitors to keep it open. Will come back when we are in the area. Only downside is it's cash only but if you're playing pool, you should have some anyway. : ) Didn't have food, not sure they do any, but giving it the full 5 stars for everything as bar lady was really nice..”

“Great location, even though there is another Costa Coffee in Fosse Park. This one is inside the Next store, on the 2nd floor (1 above ground floor). Plenty of space and a great atmosphere, staff were very nice and friendly too. Good place to sit and relax, but not sure what it is like during peak times.”

“I recently visited the pub and had the pleasure of being served by Ethan. His service was exceptional from start to finish. He was attentive without being intrusive, friendly, and incredibly professional. Ethan made great recommendations, checked in at the perfect moments, and created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made the whole experience even better. It’s rare to come across someone who genuinely enjoys what they do, and Ethan’s positive attitude truly stood out. Outstanding service—I’ll definitely be back!”

The Bollywood music was absolutely incredible — a perfect mix of classic hits and new favourites that kept everyone dancing all night long. “The Mrs and I popped into North Main Services Welcome Break Leicester for a couple of drinks. I had my usual latte which if not poured slowly and with care tastes crap (shall we say). We were served by a young man called Callum who was extremely friendly and polite, he also took his upmost care when delivering to me a an excellently poured latte which tasted amazing. 10 out of 10 to the team on the North Main Starbucks, inside the main building and up the stairs. “Been in the LRI for 24 days now and this is my 2nd home. Its open 24 hours. Not much selection, food is overpriced but the staff are AWESOME!!!! They brighten me up every day. Their jacket spuds are amazing!!!!”

“Honestly what baffles me is that half the reviews here are blaming the delivery companies rather than the establishment itself with really annoys me. the Grill and Angies for me are always the place to go to for fried chicken. It always tastes good, they cook fresh to order and yes, the workers might seem tired and perhaps grumpy at times but they have to almost always deal with drunken students on the regular. Will continue to come back to these geezers”
