“There were three of us and we were greeted emmediatley in the restaurant part and we sat outside. The warm and welcoming service by Tina and the head chef Naaz was outstanding. We ordered a variety of dishes.Prawns, chicken, jeera rice, Served with peshawar naans, side salad, massage chips and soft drinks. All of which was promptly served hot and delicious. The bigger surprise was the bill. A mere £32.00 The pub is historical and in need of a makeover.Regardless of that one observation I would recommend it for a meal out with family, friends or even a celebratory get together. Thankyou for a wonderful evening.”
“Always amazing food cooked up by Rui — it never fails to impress. The dishes are consistently bursting with flavour, and I would highly recommend it whether you’re in the mood for a takeaway or want to dine in. You won’t be disappointed!”
“Checked out Ceders, the Lebanese spot, and it’s quite the experience. They’ve got a mix of hard and soft drinks to choose from, hitting the spot. Now, fair warning, the bathrooms need a bit of extra care in the cleanliness department. Let’s dive into the good stuff – their chicken is a taste bud triumph, truly delicious. The hummus and falafel also hold their own in the flavor game. Downstairs has a few tables, but the real vibe is upstairs, creating a cozy atmosphere. Props to them for serving water in fancy bottles, adding a touch of class. Despite the bathroom situation, Ceders delivers a savory Lebanese feast with a charming ambiance.”
“A few of us had a carvery here tonight, and the food + service was great! The selection was good, and despite nearing the end of serving time, everything was hot and tasted fresh - really well cooked veg, trimmings, and plenty of meat. Gordon did a really great job serving us tonight, and was pleasant to speak to! He was prompt in clearing our table, and helped me out with a cakeaway bag too. Consequently, we felt engaged with the service, and appreciated how responsive the staff were. Great experience all around.”
“Great pub, excellent and reasonable prices for all drinks and food, and the service is excellent. Ordering food and drinks on the wetherspoons app is so convenient, we ordered drinks on a Saturday evening, and received them literally within 5 minutes. We go here quite often, and the service is usually quite quick, and the food and drinks prices you really can't go wrong with it.”
“I've been twice and had the mixed sizzler, then the chicken madras. The appetizers and Naan are very good and the main dishes are excellently cooked and presented! If you like spice, they will give you spice, but dishes like the madras were very approachable in terms of spice.”
“Absolutely lovely family christmas meal today. 8 adults and 3 children. Food was lovely, service was great thank you Connor and the rest of the team!”
“Great place for food, we ordered the jeera chicken, egg curry, schezwen paneer and also crispy bhajia. Everything tasted amazing, great combination of flavours, spice and good food portions. Will definitely be coming back. Atmosphere is okay as its a bar/pub and restaurant so drinks have to be ordered separately.”
“Quite pricey, but convenient for the match... I will change this if I end up getting charged for parking, even though I registered my car at the bar.”
“My sister and I just moved around here and wanted to what the locals have to offer. Beautiful pu and garden area. Not to many people when we arrived. There was a sign saying no food being currently but that was fine by us. We just wanted a drink. Serves was polite and with a smile.”
“We had our Christmas Dinner at Ring O Bells, where over 30 people attended. The staff were so accommodating, friendly and helpful and really made it an enjoyable evening. They even put on karaoke for us to make it a fun night. We were all allowed to use our 20% student discount too which made it very affordable for us. I would definitely recommend Ring O Bells if you want to hold an event or just for a lovely pub meal with friends and family.”

“Major uplift looks super, great service and cheap”
“Ordered here a couple of times recently for delivery. Fish & chips were really tasty, nice crispy batter and the chips are really flavourful. Good portion sizes and they do some good meal deals. Nice to also see they make their own onion rings rather than using frozen like a lot of places do! Food has came piping hot every time, will be back again for sure.”
“The food is of course good as in any Weatherspon. It was a bit noisy for us, but considering the size of the establishment, I think it's normal. The air conditioning was blowing too strongly cold air, considering the cool weather outside. During the short time of dinner, we didn't feel comfortable and got colder than when we were outside.”
“Excellent place to eat. Out for a family meal. Check the weekday menu as these are good value for money at under £10. If you have room, a pudding will cost you an extra £1.50. Highly recommend the Gammon meal and the Cajun Chicken. Both on the weekday menu. It was so good, we returned with the rest of the family 2 days later. Good selection of real ales and beers. Quick and polite service too which is rare nowadays.”
“The food is excellent, been using this takeaway place for a while and cant fault it. The prices are so reasonable and so many options”
“Very good value comfortable rooms. Great menu and good choice of beers. Very friendly staff. Free parking at rear. Very convenient for station, 10 min train to Leicester. Some noise from bar, to be expected, quiet after 10.45pm. Will definitely return when next in the area.”
“Donner Master is hands down the best in town! Their service is exceptional—they truly look after their customers and make you feel valued. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and goes the extra mile to ensure a great experience. As for the food, it’s absolutely fantastic! Fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection every time. Whether you’re craving a delicious kebab, a juicy burger, or something else from their menu, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top-quality food and outstanding service!”
“Wonderful food and good staff. Nice cost warm place with good choice of food.”
“Great food, and well priced. A lot of different things to choose from too. The staff are friendly, polite, and seemed happy. I went there with 7 members of my family and we had a great afternoon, we'll definitely be coming back soon.”
“Brilliant evening at Maxwells Loughborough. From booking to our meal, our host Keiron was so pleasant and helpful. We all agreed our meals were delicious, hot and well presented. The steaks were so tender. A large choice on the menu. Thank you to Kyle their chef. Excellent service from all your staff. We would highly recommend Maxwells. We were a table of 13 on a busy evening for them. We'll be back.”
“Great food and service. We’re in every week after our badminton group. We had our Xmas do here, thanks to the Managnent and staff for looking after us. Just brilliant thanks!”
“The food was so tasty and affordable. And the service was also really warm, exceptional and prompt. I will definitely be coming again. Thank you for the authentic home-made taste.”
“Seating in and out Main restaurant area, then bar area. Kids and dogs allowed Plenty of food and drink choice on offer Membership cards can be used and can get offers Food is served hot. Maybe more salad on Lasagne as was like a children's salad! But still nice Toilets and baby changing facilities available. Wheelchair and pushchair accessible Plenty of parking”
“Went for Sunday dinner for the first time since it has been reopened and was very satisfied. Meals were very good and very well priced for the size of the portion which was big! They also serve a very nice pint of Guinness! Positive experience had by the 5 of us! The new owners seem great! Funny moment was listening to a couple literally moan about everything and anything! Will be back soon!”
“What a gem of a place. Food was excellent and service was great. service was great, we were celebrating my 75th Birthday and were allocated a table of 10 taking into account of Mobility issue. We had an amazing unforgettable and memorable experience celebrating my Birthday and all the staff were smiling & very friendly with great service. Maria the waitress also really looked after us very well, therefore my huge thank you to all the staff who looked after us. The lighting was stunning and atmosphere was fantastic.”
“I recently visited The Corn Exchange, and it’s an absolute gem in the heart of Leicester! Housed in a gorgeous 1850s building, this former trading hub still retains its historic charm with soaring ceilings, elegant ironwork, and wooden floors that echo the footsteps of the past. Yet, it manages to combine that vintage atmosphere with a fresh, modern pub experience. Right as you step in, you’re greeted by a bright, open space—perfect for anyone wanting to chat over a drink or simply admire the architectural beauty. The bar area is huge and well-stocked, with a great selection of local ales, ciders, and craft beers. The friendly staff definitely know their stuff if you need recommendations! The menu offers plenty of comforting pub classics alongside some tasty modern twists. Whether you’re craving a hearty plate of fish and chips or something lighter, there’s something to suit all taste buds. I also appreciated the spacious seating and laid-back vibe, which makes it ideal for casual meetups or a cheerful night out. One standout feature is the gorgeous upstairs balcony area—perfect for taking in the lively buzz below while enjoying a pint. And if the weather’s nice, don’t forget the outdoor seating—it’s a lovely spot for people-watching in the heart of the city. All in all, The Corn Exchange marries Leicester’s history with a welcoming, modern feel. It’s got character, charm, and great food to match—definitely worth a visit if you’re ever in town!”
“A local favourite, food had been consistently good for a long time, service is great. Can get rowdy on football match evenings so check the calendar if you don’t like the noise…personally I think it just adds to the atmosphere”
