BONUS to a great chef and not forgetting staff who are easy going and cheerful , they create positive feeling at this lovely place. Nice clean enviroment. “Found this little gem last minute. Had roast dinner here and it was amazing. Food was so fresh and hot. Beef just melted in the mouth. Staff are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again. Really relaxed atmosphere as well.”

“What a lovely little quirky gem of a pub. Everything inside has been up-cycled re-cycled and is fascinating. Some comfy seating, some chairs are ex old style cinema and old airplanes seat. The bar staff are so friendly Ben is great! And it's dog friendly. Just a stone throw away from the beach.”

“First time being here. A lively environment. Can't beat a jukebox. They also have a beer garden, if you're a smoker. The barmaid Sue was totally rushed behind the bar but never stopped her from serving with a smile. I will return again soon.”

“What can I say other than fantastic!!! Best bar/venue we visited for my birthday celebrations in Liverpool. 2 different live bands played… space to dance,drinks not overly expensive,toilets clean and tidy. When visiting Liverpool again will definitely be back… loved it! Loved it! Loved it!”

“I had my baby shower here a few weeks ago and have only just got round to leaving a review. We had a massive party of people and received the best service we could have wished for. It seems to be under new management and I couldn't speak more highly of the staff and fantastic service we received. The food was amazing we all said we would come back for more! Drinks flowing all day, no service issues it was just perfect for my special day. Can't thank the team at Pioneer enough for making it such an amazing day! Can't wait to return!”

“La Parrilla has great atmosphere that felt authentic and like stepping instantly out of Merseyside, and Britain, into a much more relaxed and welcoming environment. It was lively but not rowdy. The staff are friendly and helpful, and clearly take pride in what they do. I was very impressed with the service from all members of the team that we interacted with; they were confident, competent, pleasant and respectful. I wasn’t paying much attention to other tables, but it seemed as if everything was running smoothly and everyone was having a good time. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, and the Sangria was possibly the best I have had… certainly in the UK. The restaurant is clean, as were the glasses, dinnerware, and cutlery. I definitely recommend La Parrilla.”

“Very good Liverpool pub about 10 minutes walk from Lime Street Station. 5 cask beers on handpump when I visited including a stout. A few tables outside. The pub has an interesting history as Kirkland's Bakery and its name comes from their slogan 'no flies in the loaf'.”

“If you want a seriously good pint of Guinness in Liverpool, The Liffey Irish Bar on Renshaw Street is the place to go. Steve the owner takes meticulous care of his Guinness and cleans the lines himself. The end result is a top class, Irish standard pint.”

“Great pub with a great atmosphere. We went to see a fabulous local band called Trilogy. They were amazing! My 81 year old mother never stopped dancing all night. Great variety of drinks and plenty of staff, so didn't have to wait to order drinks long at the bar. Felt really safe in there.”

“Nice place to eat at reasonable prices. Nice views over the dock. Good is good and nice place to drink particularly cocktails. Service is not bad but can be slow if busy. So unless you are in a rush just drink, eat and enjoy the atmosphere.”

“Had a wonderful birthday meal here. First visit but will be back. Surprisingly great food portions, fabulous and tasty to. Holly was a star in her table service and made us feel very welcome. Love the decor, the ambience, the food (hanging chicker kebab and steak kebab - mmmmmm), and the staff.”
