“My boyfriend and I came here while we stayed in Liverpool and we had a great evening. Service was spot on. There was a lovely atmosphere and the food was cooked to perfection. We will definitely come back here when we are in Liverpool again!”

“This is our favourite place to eat and drink before shows in Liverpool! The drinks menu is huge - we absolutely love trying as many different cocktails as we can. So fun to pick different flavours and exciting seeing what turns up and how they are presented. Having so much unusual and unique drink choices really adds to the experience. The food is also incredible - we have never ever had a bad meal here and the food is always delicious. We are always spoilt for choice on what to order and we enjoy every bite. I feel like the Alchemist is known more for drinks but the food is underestimated and doesn’t get enough credit. Finally, the staff here really make the place; they’re so friendly, helpful and can’t do enough for you. They make you feel like the only customer there. My only tiny gripe is that I find the music to be a bit too loud/intrusive sometimes when trying to hold a conversation and you sometimes have to shout a bit to talk and be heard. Overall, I can't recommend enough! This continues to be our go-to place for food and drink dates.”

“Absolutely amazing and quality food. Highly recommend the burgers, any are superb and especially the sweet chili chicken bites....wow!!!! I could just eat loads of those. Delivery is decent for timing, never had an issue and arrives as close to the time as possible, (astong traffic is terrible) but they live up to expectations. Never been inside so I cant rate for the service but I am sure its great.”

“I would recommend booking before arriving for a Sunday roast as this place was absolutely buzzing! The soup of the day was melt in your mouth delicious and flavoured perfectly! We tried the chicken, pork and beef roasts. They were equally amazing. I preferred the chicken as it came with crispy skin. The pork came with wonderful crackling if that's your bag. You cannot leave here without having pudding. The brownie, cheesecake and toffee pudding were out of this world. The kitchen is on point with timing and the wait staff did them proud despite how busy it was. Lovely, warm, welcoming and worth a visit for sure. You won't regret it!”

“On walking past we decided we would go, the place was spotless we where greeted by a lovely waitress who explained how it works. The chef was also lovely I asked him for his recommendations and I was completely sold. The food not only looked good but was packed with flavour and the candles for the birthday was a nice touch appreciated.”

“I love this place! One of two venues in Wrexham I can comfortably call nice, classy or desirable. Great atmosphere, good food and the cocktails are spectacular. Rarely get into anything much more than the long island iced tea but have samples a good cross section over the years. The atmosphere is cosy early on, with comfortable, stylish furnishings and low-ish lighting, suited to quiet drinks with conversation, dates etc. Later into the evening on weekends at least they have some great local talent in doing acoustic covers and original music with plenty of audience participation encouraged but not in a lazy way. Food is a pleasant mix of Mediterranean through traditional and well executed. I've been there as a casual visitor for drinks and/or food and also on work outings, group catered and been equally pleased each time.”

“First time came today to see what restraunt like. It was new years eve not many in at time I went but was really good breakfast. I went for American breakfast was really nice so good couldn't eat all but was good. Hope never cause upset taking dishes to counter when finished I always do in restraunts nothing against lady serving us , it's my may of doing things when enjoyed something. I noticed restraunt disabled accessibke, my partner drives power chair I said to her it had ramp she looking forward to going do you think Power chair be able to get under desks or accessibke we will come and try she would live brickies, glad tried today been meaning to last few weeks all best new year”

“This restaurant offers a healthy dining experiencing in a peaceful and scenic place by a small lake. During my visit, I had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious super food salad with cold salmon, and it did not disappoint. The fresh and healthy ingredients were the perfect complement to the nice view of the lake. Price is also excellent. One of the best things about this restaurant is the convenience of parking, making it easy to visit even if you're driving in. The ambiance of the place is clean and contemporary, with industrial decorations that create a unique and modern atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome and comfortable during my solo lunch. I was able to use my laptop for a while to send some work emails while waiting the food. I appreciated the attention to detail and care that the staff showed in ensuring my dining experience was enjoyable.”

“Nice neighborhood Pub with a large outdoor seating area. Really good beer selection including some cask ales to choose from. Outside was packed so found a nice seat inside by the bar and enjoyed the music at a Saturday night volume and a decent mix playing. Service was fast and friendly but as a note they do not accept cash only cards .”

“Biker Night of a Thursday. Plenty of secure parking. Very nice food. Reasonably priced drinks Excellent location, Peaceful setting next to the reservoir, Sunsets are fabulous in summer months Lots of outdoor seating and indoor seating too. Friendly staff and atmosphere.”

“La Parrilla has great atmosphere that felt authentic and like stepping instantly out of Merseyside, and Britain, into a much more relaxed and welcoming environment. It was lively but not rowdy. The staff are friendly and helpful, and clearly take pride in what they do. I was very impressed with the service from all members of the team that we interacted with; they were confident, competent, pleasant and respectful. I wasn’t paying much attention to other tables, but it seemed as if everything was running smoothly and everyone was having a good time. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, and the Sangria was possibly the best I have had… certainly in the UK. The restaurant is clean, as were the glasses, dinnerware, and cutlery. I definitely recommend La Parrilla.”

“We came for the first time for the Wednesday Indian Buffet. The place is beautifully furnished clean and tidy. Tricia, the owner was really lovely and welcoming. “We visited this lovely country pub and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The waitress (Beth) looking after us was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for her, which really made the visit feel special. We tried the fried Brie to start, which was delicious and full of flavour. Others tried the Patè which only had a small improvement we’d suggest which is serving it with a little more bread, but it certainly didn’t take away from how enjoyable it was. Despite our group ordering six roast dinners, all with different meats, the food arrived in good time. The portions were generous, everything was piping hot, and the flavours were spot on. The standout dish for us was the cauliflower cheese—honestly the best we’ve ever had! Desserts were lovely too. The cheesecake tasted great, though the base was slightly harder than we prefer. The brownies, however, were a huge hit and disappeared quickly! The pub itself was very clean and welcoming, and the easy, convenient parking made the visit even smoother. Overall, a fantastic meal with great service. We’ll definitely be returning!”

“We went today for a sunday roast. The food was beautiful, a good portion of lamb, potatoes and vegtables were perfectly cooked and the biggest yorkshire pudding which was lovely. Jessica served us, she was very attentive and was helpful as i have a medical condtion, so some foods i cannot eat. The service was quick, and the atmosphere was very relaxing and cosy. The price was very good value for money. I would highly recommend the montgomery, and we will visit again very soon. The staff are a credit to them.”

“Best roast dinner in the city! In such beautiful surroundings too. My only gripe is that there was zero toilet paper in the ladies in any cubicle and no staff around to replace it. Other than that I will be back again and again. Lots of non alcoholic choices, the Watermelon Cooler is THE best non alcoholic cocktail I’ve ever tasted”

“Bought the afternoon tea voucher on Wowcher. It was £29 for an afternoon tea set for 2 with two cocktails as well. I absolutely love this afternoon tea because it is different. Not a huge fan of traditional British afternoon tea as they are mainly sandwiches, scones and cakes only, too sweet for me. Prefer more savoury food items like this one. Beef sliders, onion rings, cheesy tots, chicken tenders are perfect finger food, great for kids and adults and everyone. Staff is attentive, met my dietary requirements of no chocolate. Drinks are delicious as well and of great variety! Will definitely come back. Highly recommend here if you are near the docks in Liverpool!”
