“Although we visited with a very large party there was plenty of room for us all to be sat relatively close together! Considering we put in a lot of food and drink orders in a short space of time, the wait wasn’t longer than necessary at all. We had a look at the lunch menu and as soon as we noticed the battered haddock and tartar sandwich, we were sold! The haddock was perfectly cooked and crispy with a decent amount of tartar which complimented perfectly. Our side of fries was also extra yummy and served with wild garlic mayo which was amazing! Somebody else on our table ordered the smoked salmon and cream cheese with many comments of how delicious it was; filled with a generous amount of salmon! Lastly and quite importantly we were very happy to see vegetable crudités and humous on the kids menu, as often it’s easy to order for young children but not necessarily for babies and this was a perfect option. We just asked for cucumber rather than the carrots to stay on the safe side, and they came in perfect slices - great for baby led weaning when out on the go. The humous was lovely and definitely tasted homemade! We will 100% be coming back here again:)”
“I came here with a friend ( whose a regular) never been here , they made me feel so welcome and at home. I would definitely go back. Landlady so friendly”
“Great place. Great prices considering location. Very welcoming.”
“I was served by the lovely Freya who was so friendly and welcoming. Really enjoyed the vibe in in this place :)”
“A good backstreet boozer with two separated bar sections and an outdoor yard, which can be a bit of a suntrap. Friendly service and good beers, including some very well poured John Smith's”
“We had a wonderful pub dinner. The starters were great (pork belly and chicken skewers) and the lamb shank was so tender. Peter was exceptional at making us feel at home.”
“Brilliant staff and very welcoming had a great time here on Saturday 19th November for my brother in law 60th/Retirement. And met Benson and Murphy”
“Great hosts. Service with a smile. Great pint of Coors. Good atmosphere. Will definitely be back.”
“Unplanned visit but had such a great night. Friendly door staff, quick service from bar staff & great attention given to customers. Amazing music, couldn't of asked for a better night. I even had a dance or two. Querky decor my kind of place. Very well run pub & music venue, the London stone rock! Highly recommend”
“A wonderful small town pub and hotel, my local. The staff are lovely and very friendly, the ambience is always wonderful. Service is always on point and the food is consistenly cooked to a high standard. I highly recommend this for families, date nights and even just a place to pass the time. With a wide ranging bar and beer selection, bar snacks and an extensive menu. A highly recommended place for those in the area and beyond.”
“I really like this place. The pub and restaurant are cozy and they had fires going for the cold weather. I think it's the best hotel in the area and very reasonably priced. The food is delicious with a lot of options and they currently have the festive menu going on. It's a short walk to downtown old Harlow. Only nag would be the internet reliability and speed, but I'm told they're working on fixing it. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Don't forget to ask for the CAMRA discount if you're a member and drinking cask ale!”
“This truly is a lovely restaurant. The waiters are very caring and attentive. I need gluten free because I am celiac and they work with the chef to let you know what you can eat. The food tastes amazing. I have eaten here 2 nights in a row cos it was so good. My husband is carnivore so we struggle to find a good place lace. This is awesome.”
“I went for Natty Can Cooks Caribbean menu, I actually traveled from Hampshire to get there, and wasn't disappointed. Great food, great service and a great atmosphere. We were highly impressed with the food and the maitre d was a vibe. Music was loud and funky, just how I like it. Great cocktails and all round good night out. Will definitely be back.”
“Popped into Prince of Peckham last week on a whim after the place we’d planned to eat still wasn’t open by 12.10pm — and I’m so glad we did. The pub was absolutely spotless, genuinely one of the cleanest I’ve been in. Our server was warm, friendly and had great style. We asked for food recommendations and she happily shared her favourites, checked in on us, and nothing was too much trouble. It was my friend’s first time there and she loved it. We ended up having a great time and I’d definitely go back again. Highly recommend.”
“The hotel is excellent and we had a wonderful stay. We had a small issue with the heating in our room, which was resolved within 30 minutes. We also needed help getting a taxi, and Bashar was incredibly supportive and helpful, giving us the best advice possible. Thank you for the great service and hospitality.”
“We enjoyed everything about our 2 night stay. The location was convenient, the food was delicious, the staff were helpful and friendly, the room was comfortable, and the check in-out process was smooth.”
“Second time staying here in 2025. It’s a great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and modern with the required facilities. The breakfast buffet is very good with lots of different options. The location is super convenient for most tourist attractions. The Waterloo station is just a few minutes walk from the hotel.”
“I chose the Leonardo Hotel as the destination for my birthday party, and overall, it was a fantastic choice. The hotel’s central location just steps from the tube and the Tower of London made it incredibly convenient for getting around. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the hotel’s style and attention to detail. The welcome was warm, with thoughtful touches like complimentary drinks and magazines at the entrance. The breakfast buffet was another highlight: varied, plentiful, and delicious. Staff throughout the hotel were courteous, professional, and genuinely helpful. The only downside—and I say this with some regret—was the cleanliness of the bed sheets in my room. Unfortunately, they had mold stains, which was disappointing. However, reception responded very quickly and professionally, had the sheets changed right away, and reported the issue to their superiors. Their swift action helped mitigate the problem. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was a lovely experience as well. The menu offered a good variety, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing—perfect for the occasion. Despite the issue with the sheets, I would still recommend the Leonardo Hotel and would happily return for another stay. With just a little more attention to housekeeping, it would have been perfect.”
“Really nice hotel and great value for money. Staff were friendly. Rooms were immaculate. Breakfast was great. Only mild concern was the location? It felt quite out of place and the direct route from Whitechapel tube station feels quite dodgy especially at night. Some great food places around the area though.”
“Park Plaza Waterloo by Radisson, I’ve had the pleasure of staying at Park Plaza Waterloo by Radisson almost every week during my business trips, and it has quickly become one of my favourite hotels in London. • Location: The hotel is perfectly situated just a few meters from Lambeth North Tube Station, making travel around the city effortless. • Views: Many rooms offer a stunning view of the London Eye, which adds a special touch to each stay. • Service: The staff are consistently welcoming and professional. A special mention goes to Volter from the front office/ Reception, who has always been extremely helpful and attentive, ensuring my stays are smooth and enjoyable. • Overall Experience: The combination of convenience, comfort, and excellent service makes Park Plaza Waterloo a top choice for both business and leisure travelers. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London, it truly feels like a home away from home.”
“I stayed here recently and had a great experience. The hotel was clean. The room was small but cozy, and the bathroom was spotless. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, a pleasant stay — I’d definitely recommend it to any traveler passing through the area.”
“I visited Eagle London recently after more than 15 years—and wow, what a great experience! It’s still such a cool, iconic venue, and I feel lucky that places like this are still around. In a time when LGBTQ+ spaces are disappearing, Eagle is more important than ever. It’s the perfect mix of cool nostalgia, good ol’ flirting, and fresh, welcoming vibes. The crowd was fun, the energy was great, and the whole night just had that special something that’s hard to find elsewhere. So glad I came back—and I’ll definitely be back again soon!”
“Food definitely needed after all the steps at St Paul’s…other local pubs did not have food we liked, found this pub and the food and service was fabulous. Fish finger sandwich was a hit!”
“There are so few old, atmospheric pubs left in London. It has a wonderful interior, comfortable sofas, and a bar where you can always sit and chat with the bartender. Speaking of which, the staff is incredibly friendly, always helpful, Danny and Daniel, and of course Karolina. I love the selection of beer and spirits. Now they also have a mulled wine and cider. Enjoy drinking next to a classic, oldstyle fireplace. I'm glad I discovered this place; I'll be back.”
“If you're looking for a Sunday roast in Central London, we found this hidden little gem today. The Duke of York, situated just off Edgware Road, serves up outstanding rotisserie chicken and delicious Hirrisa cauliflower. The Guinness was smooth, the Bloody Marys had perfect spice levels, and the Passing Giants Sauvignon Blanc was a fantastic drop. We'll definitely be back!"”
“Didn't have food. Exceptional prices and friendly service. Several TVs for sport in multiple sensible locations. Good beer range, though cask was temporarily off when I went there.”
“Very authentic Italian food - some of the best I’ve had in a long time, and it was easy to tell that the dishes were fresh and homemade. The pizzas were especially excellent. Overall a very relaxed atmosphere, with very friendly service as well. Would 100% recommend this restaurant if you want some excellent Italian food.”
“This is a perfect place...buzzy trattoria style downstairs with a great bar, lively outdoor seating and a beautiful bar. And white table clothes, proper dining room upstairs. The front of house service is polite and efficient, the star is the food and it shines. The entire menu looks excellent. We had the homemade Ragu, homemade pasta, it was superb. We also ordered a picannte pizza which was expertly made, like you'd eat in Napoli. We also shared zucchini fritti and a side salad which were both well done. Simple, good food. This will become a regular. It's tops.”
“Absolutely gorgeous Thai food. The gyozas were so crispy and well-filled and the dipping sauce brought a lovely sour saltiness to the dish. We ordered the Pad Thai and chicken teriyaki. Both dishes were absolutely lovely, warming, and generously portioned. Upon request the chefs were more than happy to add chicken to my dish although not on the menu and I greatly appreciated how welcoming and attentive the servers were throughout.”
