“Very good service from Chantelle and the team here with reasonable prices and great food. I had the margarita pizza and it was very good.”
“5 stars all cross the board! This was a fantastic Wetherspoons, admittedly the wait for food was a little longer than I’m used to at Wetherspoons locations but otherwise this was an amazing experience. High quality tasty food, lovely atmosphere and the friendliest staff I think I’ve ever encountered in any pub. Absolutely recommended!”
“This is my favourite local pub in Finchley Central. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. I tried the lamb roast recently and it was good. My only suggestion is to bring the steak pie and mash back to the menu.. that was such a pub classic! I think they have the pie of the day on Tuesdays but not always. Keep up the nice work guys!”
“Food is really great and delicious (Indian dishes) Place is all in one- you can choose to relax and have a drink in their garden or inside and join the activities they have for the day (Quiz Night, Live Band etc) Service- Accomodating and Friendly 100% Recommend”
“We had a lovely Christmas lunch today, served by our waiter Rhys. Rhys really made our lunch special and his service went above and beyond. Thanks so much, we had a great time. Love Erin, Fran and Abbie (table with the dog and the baby)”
“Service was excellent as usual by Nathan and the food cooked by Lee was great and good value for money. We had jalepeno poppers and a mixed grill, the steak was cooked to perfect medium rare. Highly recommend, great atmosphere and people”
“Lovely little pub. Characterful with a mix of people, a locals’ pub but everyone welcome. One very nice chap bought me a drink at last orders, had a really good chat afters. Really classy, fun young lady running the bar, a real natural at it, a throwback to the good old days. She asked me if I had any last requests for the music, which was granted (I asked for Lenny Kravitz) and she told me about the place, and where the fantastic paintings of London streets on the walls came from (no spoilers, go in and ask!)”
“The best pub In SouthWest, they have a pool table, juke box, darts and Karaoke on a Friday and Saturday.”
“Lovely pub not too far from Vauxhall and Pimlico station. Has a great selection of beers, wine and spirits. They also serve food as well as light snacks. There is a dart board and pool table as well as several TVs to watch sports. The manager of the pub that served us was friendly and welcoming. Definitely plan another visit soon”
“The staff is nice and fish and chips are wonderful. Great evening with live music”
“Ale, Art & Atmosphere at Sir Richard Steele – Haverstock Hill Located in the heart of Steeles Village, just a short walk from Chalk Farm and Belsize Park, Sir Richard Steele Pub is a North London institution with a bohemian spirit and Victorian bones. Dating back to the 19th century, it’s long been a haunt for artists, musicians, and locals who appreciate a pub with personality. The interiors are eclectic and theatrical — mismatched furniture, vintage posters, and curios tucked into every corner. There’s a piano, a fireplace, and even a secret snug if you know where to look. The vibe is warm, welcoming, and slightly eccentric — in the best way. The pub serves craft beers, classic ales, and modern cocktails, with a rotating selection that caters to both traditionalists and trend-chasers. The beer garden is a hidden gem — leafy, relaxed, and ideal for sunny afternoons or cozy evenings under the lights. Food-wise, the menu offers modern pub fare with vegan and clean-eating options, plus BBQs, tapas, and roasts depending on the season. There’s also a generous happy hour, live music, and something happening most nights — from quiz nights to DJ sets. Under new management since 2019, the pub has returned to its roots, restoring much of its original charm and drawing back its loyal crowd. Guests praise the friendly staff, lively atmosphere, and affordable drinks, making it a standout in a neighbourhood full of options.”
“We stumbled on this pub to watch Premier League and we loved it! Very friendly local pub with a nice feeling of openness. It was Saturday afternoon, so there were good mix of people enjoying their weekend. We would like to come back on our next visit to London!”
“Real pub, great landlord, lovely staff, great prices!”
“Brilliant sports pub loads of screens and load music, perfect”
“We held a work party in the upstairs room at the Hospital Tavern and it was brilliant! The events manager was fantastically helpful, service was brilliant, and the selection of food and drink available was fab, we didn't scratch the surface of the equipment available (mics, lights, sound etc!) but what we used was great. The pub is in a great location and has a really friendly, fun vibe... also nice late opening hours!”
“My partner and I were staying at T Barns near this pub and stopped off for dinner. It was filled with locals at 8pm on a Thursday. In a small town, this appears to be the heart of it! The food was absolutely incredible. I would highly recommend the £75 steak for two. Though at a glance this seems overly expensive, the meat cut was the best I’ve ever had (and as a steak lover myself, this is going far). It came with two hearty portions of chunky chips and fine green beans. Would 1000% recommend. The second highlight of this venue is the staff. We were greeted by a group of the most friendly people I’ve ever encountered! Each one of them came to speak with us, engaging in conversations about the food/personal recommendations, the town and its history and our own personal stories. A special shout out to Charlie, who gave us an in depth history of this pub. We loved it here and if we are ever passing by, will definitely go again.”
“Had a really excellent experience at the larkshall, the food was excellent, the staff were really attentive, and great for us on this visit, it was all really accessible, they have a step free entrance, disabled toilet and disabled parking”
“We came for Sunday roast and weren’t disappointed. The service by a lovely waitress was 11/10, very accommodating. The beef was just fine but all the other vegetables were so well made and seasoned, so tasty. Recommend a lot.”
“Just had a wonderful 16oz rump steak. And I just can’t wait till I return again.”
“A really nice pub with a great atmosphere and a beautiful garden. The staff were very friendly, so I'm leaving 5 stars. The only downside was that we waited over 40 minutes for chips and samosas, even though it wasn't that busy. But overall, I definitely recommend it!”
“Tatiane is amazing – she creates a unique, warm and family-like atmosphere in the pub. Coming here feels just like home. The food is, as always, delicious.”
“I’ve enjoyed food and atmosphere here before but this visit was next level. The newish menu was fantastic. Salad was large, fresh and great ingredients. Beautifully decorated for Christmas and warm welcoming lit fireplaces are a huge bonus. The service was kind and professional. Tyrell did a great job taking our order. Wonderful visit and will be back and highly recommend!”
“Quiet night, but a nice pleasant boozer. Barmaid was friendly and helpful, and so along with the sensible prices, it's well worth taking yerself down there.”
“Can’t recommend this place enough! It’s minutes away from the train station, rooms are spacious, there’s air con, comfortable bed, good breakfast times, quiet and I left an item behind in the room and they were absolute stars in getting it back to me. Such friendly helpful staff, had a great stay and then helping me afterwards was just the cherry on top!”
“The food here was really good. The flavours were amazing. The seafood was tasty. Service was okay for a pub style. Ambience was really nice. Pad thai was good, thai curry had a mild flavour and all the items we ordered were tasty.”
“I had a delightful visit here the other day. The place has an extremely comfortable and warming atmosphere. The food was exceptional and the staff went above and beyond to cater for my dietary requirements. Looking forward to visit again!”
“Our visit to the Bear for a meal was brilliant. We went to the cinema before, and because I knew we’d be arriving late on a Sunday (3:45) I specified what roast we’d like just incase they were running low. Anyway, the team did a great job holding our food back for us as requested as they did run out. It was delicious! Lovely cosy calm atmosphere too (and my Irish boyfriend loved his Guinness).”
“Brilliant. A good local watering hole to get wasted at. Good music too.”
“Happy with just about everything. We had a very pleasant experience and we were all more than satisfied with the selection of food and its preparation. The service was friendly and helpful at all points and we have taken away delightful memories of the experience. No problem in recommending the Orange Tree to others.”
“Had such a great experience at The Rabbits Pub thanks to Laura! She was super friendly, welcoming, and made us feel looked after the whole time. You can tell she really knows what she’s doing everything ran so smoothly, and she handled things with total confidence. She’s got real manager vibes very organised, professional, and still manages to keep things relaxed. It’s rare to get service that feels both personal and professional at the same time, but Laura absolutely nailed it. Food was really nice one of the few places i have enjoyed food in a pub atmosphere Definitely one of the reasons I’ll be coming back”
