“My tortoise had a long beak so making it difficult to eat by himself. I had to feed him by hand, I took him to this vet. The people are very friendly, the lady vet clipped his beak and I am happy to say he is eating really well. One happy tortoise and one happy owner. Thank you so much, this vet is highly recommended by me.”

“I can’t recommend Medivet in New Mills enough! Every staff member we spoke with was so friendly, supportive and kind. Our vet really went above and beyond, she took such care with my dog and took the time to go through everything with me. When it came to getting medication, the woman at the desk was so lovely and again, really took her time to go through everything with me to ensure I felt confident with what was required. You can tell everyone working there is so passionate about what they do. Helen, the vet, is well known to me as both knowledgeable and caring. She is the reason I use this practice and she didn’t disappoint. She diagnosed, reassured and prescribed as needed and was both caring to Betty (my dog) and reassuring regarding my concerns. One couldn’t ask for more and I would highly recommend this practice to any caring owner of pets,”

“Animal Trust Failsworth are the best! My SharPei can be quite a handful at the vets as she stresses very easily. So much so that other vets have muzzled her. But not at ATF. They are patient with her and it shows in her behaviour with them . No muzzle no aggression, just calm. Thanks guys”

“Really pleased with the treatment my cat Ares received yesterday. He needed his booster and flea/worming and the vet we saw (I didn't catch her name unfortunately) was extremely kind and gentle with him. She was patient with me too and checked him over when I mentioned a couple of other things I was concerned with. Cost of treatment seems reasonable to previous vets we've visited. The lady on reception was really friendly too. Parking round the rear of the building. Lastly, they have a candle in the reception which is lit if an owner is having having an appointment to have their pet put to sleep, and request soft voices and respect if this is the case. I've never seen this before in vets and thought it was a lovely idea.”

She suggested various levels of treatment and showed me how to administer the chosen ear drops. Posi is now getting back to being herself thankfully.”

“Fantastic rabbit runs which give them lots of space to move around. Delivered quickly, easily constructed and last for years. My rabbits are in their 3rd year in theirs and enjoy being able to leave their hutch and go and sit on the lawn 24/7. It fitted easily on to my existing run and cage. We have regular fox visits to our garden and rabbits have been safe.”

“Freddie our SharPei x Staffie is a very strong boy and can be a bit of a handful as he is not keen on getting his nails trimmed. He will struggle to get his muzzle off (not to bite but doesn't like to be restricted). Debbie was very calm and patient with him throughout the appointment. Also gave us some useful tips on nail maintenance. Very reasonable cost.”

“Second year Luna, our rescue Dachshund, and a less nervous owner, has visited for her teeth to be cleaned. Last year we had 6 extractions, but this year due to the diligence and care of Lynn we just needed a deep clean. The staff are fantastic, friendly and caring. Lynn is an amazing person and vet. It is clear the love she has for animals. Took so much care of Luna and we have a clear plan for the coming years to try to keep her teeth for as long as possible. See you all next year, for the smile month, hopefully just more cleaning but whatever she needs I have so much trust in Lynn and the team that I am so relieved we found this vets. Highly recommended.”

“I went into the pharmacy for an emergency prescription. I was seen immediately by Peter who was able to confirm my medication, issue 7 days’ supply and very kindly took my blood pressure as well. Very impressed. The pharmacy was clean and tidy and the staff on reception were polite and attentive.”

“We lost our lovely family dog this month and Valley Vetcare honestly made the whole thing much more bearable. I was present when my dad had a call from the vet and she was so kind and sympathetic. They sent us a card of condolences which was just so lovely. We got his collar and ashes back in a timely manner and they also gave us some paw prints and little vials of his fur. “My little Cavachon Dylan has just had dental surgery. Quoted for 1 tooth removal and scale and polish - ended up with 6 teeth extracted. I was so shocked! However - no extra charge, so I was reassured that it was absolutely required. I was worried sick; as were not exactly wadded! Such a relief and the after care has been exceptional: A thorough explanation on pick up. A follow-up appointment booked. A phone call on the Saturday after surgery... We have Dylan's health plan with Vets for Pets and we used the out of hours prior to his op (thinking he was in pain). Because we saw a nurse ()ovely) and not a vet - so no charge for the reassurance. Best thing I did for Dylan was to register with this practice - they are wonderful with him.”
