“A fantastic place to sit to eat or grab food on the go.. this is not your standard kebab place, it's decent Turkish food served with love and passion. Fantastic quality food and really good value, staff are always friendly and lovely. Can really recommend?”

“Went Sunday afternoon. Booked for 8 people at 3.30. Very welcoming.friendly staff. Menu was varied, food was very tasty and portions were ample. Never seen Yorkshire puddings so large. My husband and I had a Sunday roast to share and there was really enough for 3 people. Definately recommend.”

“I stayed here with work and could not have been happier. The room was large, very clean, and perfect for the evening and an online meeting the following morning. Breakfast was fantastic with several continental self-service and a good range of freshly cooked options too. The English breakfast was lovely with local bacon and sausage and the portion size was just right. The bar staff were brilliant, allowing smooth check-in and finding me a table for dinner even though they were really busy. There is a relaxed but professional approach by all staff. If you need accommodation or just fancy a delicious evening meal, I can highly recommend The Coach House.”

“There's plenty to say about my experience, we came here for an afternoon tea event and stayed over night. The christmas afternoon tea was lovely, there was a live Singer with a stunning voice and she stayed singing the entire time. A varied selection of delicious and moist mini cakes, scones with jam and clotted cream and sandwiches. Along with practically never ending tea. The atmosphere was cozy and warm, the decoration In the tea room was aesthetic and service was brilliant. Staff was polite and quick for being so busy. Check in to the hotel was quick and simple, the hotel itself was also pleasant decorated. Beds comfy, shower pressure was amazing, warm lights, luxurious toiletries, the nescafe machine was a nice touch along with the classical radio. One small issue was a small patch of mold I'm the bathroom”

“We met up with two friends for lunch. We decided to go with the lunch menu, this included a starter, main course, desert and a small glass of house wine which was amazing value at around £30.00 per head! The food was superb and the service excellent.”

“This was an amazing pub/restaurant /hotel that definitely gets 5 stars from me. The hotel rooms above the pub are old world oak beams and quirky with a cozy vibe. The food in the restaurant was top notch. I had the boneless spicy chicken and the pictures say more than I ever could. Very tasty and fantastic quality. The green salad and cherry tomatoes were awesome (I don't usually finish a side salad!!)”

“Always a great atmosphere and Andrew never disappoints with his monthly specials menu. Last night we enjoyed the Wednesday steak night which is fantastic value for money at £16 for a rump steak , chips , mushrooms, tomatoes and a medium glass of red wine. All served by the staff who enjoy working there .”

“The Spanish tapas here are absolutely delicious! The cheesecake was so good it completely destroyed my “keep fit” plan—I couldn’t stop myself from devouring it. Every single dish was full of flavor and brought me right back to my time in Spain. The only downside? The basement vibe isn’t the coziest and the chairs weren’t very comfortable. Also, the server accidentally tried to charge us twice—but honestly, the food was so good I almost didn’t care! Plus, the staff are actually Spanish, which made the experience feel even more authentic. Strongly recommend! Just… next time, pretty please let me sit at one of the nice ground floor tables. Gracias!”

“I booked a pod for my birthday dinner and it was perfect! The staff were super friendly and it was amazing service. The food was absolutely delicious, so fresh and the best pub grub. So much better than the usual chain restaurants! This is my favourite pub locally, I just wished I lived even nearer. 100% recommend all year round.”

“Been here a few times in the last few weeks and in this time I've had fish & chips, a roast and a chicken burger. All of those dishes were very nice but the true standout is the garlic mushroom starter. Something about it is just spectacular... Prices on food and drink are all very reasonable. We took advantage of the £20 for three courses (including Sunday roast) on a Sunday and I think that is great value. Beer garden is nice too.”

“I recently organised to come to Zapato Lounge with my work colleagues last Friday. The atmosphere, food, staff and the overall organisation for a Christmas booking was fantastic. There was someone who is Gluten Free and also a couple of people who are vegetarians and all requests were taken very seriously which was reassuring. “We had lunch here today and it was a very good experience, my wife had a vegetarian curry, peanut based, very hot and tasty, perfect. I had lambs liver and bacon with onions and mashed potatoes, as I don't enjoy cabbage I asked for mushrooms instead which was duly served and delicious. “A wonderful little Bed & Breakfast in a quaint little town! The service is fantastic, the staff are super friendly and extremely helpful. The food is delicious and it has a great pub and patio as well. Highly recommend the Full English Breakfast, the Sausage & Mash, and the Sunday Roast! Breakfast is included when you stay at the B&B. It’s very convenient that they also offer a take away breakfast box if you don’t want to have a sit down breakfast. The rooms are also very comfortable. Awesome place for a meal, drinks, or to stay a few nights!”

“Stayed overnight and ate in the restaurant. Amazing service, warm and friendly but also efficient. The food was also great I hear it got new owners 5 months ago and then took it from the highbrow place it was before back to a top notch, still elevated, local. I honestly think the new owners got EVERYTHING right. The rooms were also clean, inviting and comfortable beds. Well recommend”

“I had never been to Althorp Coaching Inn until I was recommended their brilliant open mic event, that happens once a month in the barn. George is a brilliant and welcoming host who delivers excellent sound quality, making performing an absolute joy. It is the best of any I have been too. The staff at the bar are brilliant and the decor and atmosphere is superb. Thanks to visiting the open mic last Tuesday, I became aware of Liane Carroll performing on the Thursday and bought a ticket. I was delighted to see more events planned. I wold not have found this delightful venue were it not for the highly recommended open mic. I am looking forward to eating there next time.”
