βSuperb coffee shop serving excellent well priced food and drinks. Lovely well presented environment.β
βAmazing food, great people and very generous portions. The cakes are put of this world! Definitely will be coming back and very reasonably priced I would say! Thank youβ
βFood - top notch Owner- very welcoming and friendly! Serving- ideal. Well presented. All other Chinese takeaways must keep up to this level! We truly enjoyed our takeaway in a car. Thank you . Well done!β
βSpending an unplanned day in Norwich I fancied an English style restaurant lunch. Bishopβs was the first one I found among the huge range of international options. I used the online booking system but this failed to get through to the restaurant. However, there was no drama and we were seated without any delay. The service from the owner was first class as was the 3-course set lunch menu. Each dish was special and I picked up a few new ideas to try myself at home. A great experience and the set menu was excellent value for money.β
βAwesome family run business. Very welcoming from the moment I stepped in. The food was excellent and very reasonable priced, all made traditionally over charcoal which gives it that authentic taste. The staff were very attentive and very hospitable. Big shout out to Ibrahim! I wish this business and this family all the best. Support your local independent businesses!β
βWe had booked a table for two on the occasion of my birthday, but didn't really know what to expect. At first, we couldn't actually find the place, despite being guided by Google maps, because it's tucked away on the first floor of a building and with only a rather non-descript sign outside. When entering the building, we were asked whether we had a reservation, and when going upstairs and entering the place, it became clear that they don't really need to advertise their presence outside, as it clearly seems hugely popular amongst people who know about it. In a way, it felt like entering a VIP club... The restaurant is much smaller than I had anticipated, and at first we felt a bit disappointed at being led to a small high table in the centre of the room. But when we realised what a special place it is, all hint of a disappointment instantly vanished. Meat cannot be selected from an ordinary menu, but must be ordered off handwritten boards, and there is only a very limited number of each cut, clearly labelled from which farm they come from. It's all about local produce, quality and presentation. This is a very special place, very different from ordinary steak houses, and it turned out to be the perfect place for my birthday meal!β
βWent for our anniversary and was Not disappointed. Amazing selection on the menu. The freshly prepared croquettes were a favourite and we. couldn't say no to a grilled Turbot paired with Sangria. Could taste and smell the fresh ingredients. The service was beyond exemplary. Such lovely people own and run the restaurant. We will definitely be back! Thank you for making our anniversary meal so special.β
βAn outstanding lunch with charming and chatty host/ server. A lovely find away from the town centre. Highly recommendedβ
β5 Stars doesn't do it justice. If you want a home cooked meal where absolutely everything is made fresh to order, this place is for you. You can tell how passionate the chef is by the food, I had the smoked salmon pasta and it was incredible. Other reviews say the pork is amazing, so that's a safe choice. Don't be fooled by the outside as well, it's quite cozy inside and the service is amazing. Would say that if you are an impatient person and want quick food with a group of other people joining you, you can go to a fast food chain instead. We had 9 people in total, and two people in our group started complaining to others in our group about the wait time (we had waited about 50 mins), then they were instantly shut up when they tasted the food. Would come here as a tradition every year if I could. Great food, nice people, maybe a bit pricey but generally speaking probably the best restaurant in Yarmouth. 12/10.β
βBrilliant food, typical to Mark Gee and his ways. Flat Iron steak, truffle and Parmesan fries - chefs kiss. Prawn starter with garlic, also delicious.β
βI went on here today and got a couple new items like sesame seeds and a travel size soy sauce. Got a couple other bits. Main surprise was how many of the sweets and noodles from the videos are from their shop I felt bad they didn't tell me sooner. Great shop really good for getting a good level of quality for what you pay. Also stuff for cooking lots of dinners but another is another time I could really spend all day in there.β
βIt's always a risk to take your Italian mum to an Italian restaurant abroad, because you never know what you will find. In this case, we could not have made a better choice. We ate one of the best mussels dishes we have ever tried, and the pizza, made by the authentic Neapolitan chef, had nothing to envy to the pizza you try in Italy. The pasta, which is home-made, is wonderful. And portions are very, very generous, just like you to have if you were invited to an Italian family's home. They told us they actually important ingredients, including the flour, from Italy. And you can definitely taste the difference. Our host was also wonderful and made us feel very welcome and at home. We could not recommend this place more! We will be back. Italian approved!β
βFantastic restaurant for a meal to celebrate any occasion, a get together with friends, date night or birthday, etc, etc. Great service, great food portions, varied traditional menu and a wide selection of beers, wines and non alcoholic drinks. Would definitely recommend!! (Mixed grill in the picture)β
βLooking forward to a nice evening meal with our friends here and thank goodness we had booked a table at the Indian Spoon restaurant, as this popular spot on the Norfolk broads was fully booked and queues of walk -ins were being politely turned away as we arrived. The food we were served for our evening was absolutely delicious, the chefs delivering the correct level of curry heat and their meats and sauces are up with the best I have tasted in Indian restaurants. The freshness of the ingredients here was obvious not only by the crisp salads tasty naan breads and meats on our plates but by the volume of food being sold through the restaurant and take-aways. Thank you for a nice evening handled professionally during a busy service evening.β
βMy Daughter was telling me about this cafe so we dropped in for a coffee and a pot of tea with some lovely cake on offer extremely nice and friendly staff highly recommendedβ
βWe visited Stower Grange for a wedding (we took over all the rooms bar 1) and every single thing was perfect. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and there were even homemade biscuits waiting for us on arrival. We met the hotel owner and what an absolutely charming man! He clearly loves what he does and can not do enough for you to make sure you're having a great time. The hotel looks like something from a film and the grounds are equally lovely, there's even a little swing in the garden. The breakfast options were to die for with local produce and everything cooked to your liking. We will definitely be returning.β
βThe only downside to the thaiway is trying to book a table. We visited last year and couldn't get a table ,& it was a 2 hour wait for a takeaway. To counteract that this year I thought I'd book well in advance. 9 phone calls over 10 days and all were cut off and a generic message of "we're too busy to take your call at the minute" was sent. In the end we called in at lunch time today and were able to book a table at 18.30. The service and food were of a very high standard. Nice surroundings and prompt service. All in a reasonable price. The end product was a very enjoyable experience.β
βAuthentic Jerusalem street food within the city walls of Norwich. Owners are always so welcoming, very knowledgeable and proud to explain what is on their menu and to show you the special spices they import directly from Golan Heights. The falafel is lovely, soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside, in a dish it is combined with hummus of outstanding flavour. Then comes the great selection of pickles including gherkins, tiny pattypans, peppers and cabbage to name a few. Fresh salad features on the plate too, spicy sauces all add to create loads of flavour. Just sublime. Mint and lemon tea is a must to complete the authentic experience. If falafel is not your thing you can always try the chicken schnitzel, lamb, shakshuka, kofte, shawarma and Zaβatar. There is always a good selection of cakes, vegan ones too. I love coming here for a healthy and tasty bite to eat.β
βI only had the burger, but it was exceptional, and the waitress was very nice too. She explained that tonight's was a simple menu because the service coincided with a pub quiz in the Roseberry, but I would be keen to try their more elaborate offerings on another night.β
βWow! What a venue!!! We had our wedding here and I couldn't recommend it more. From start to finish, all the staff exceeded any expectations and couldn't do enough for you. It's a stunning venue, lots of room for dancing and a beautiful outdoor space with veranda which is perfect for photos. They helped us every step of the way and went out of their way to make sure it was just perfect. They let us drop decor off the day before and even set it all up perfectly so we could relax in the morning. Food was amazing, generous portions and the rooms are lovely. All our guests commented on how amazing the venue is and moreover the staff - they are such a credit to the place! Couldn't recommend more Thank you Beckiee and team - you are all superstars !!!!β
βExcellent fry-up made with good quality ingredients throughout. Friendly staff. Some authentic Portuguese meals will guarantee our return to give them a try.β
βAll the dishes ordered were soooo good. Lobster wz salad, fried potato+salad; seafood various ++ all soo good.β
βWhat a wonderful place. Best restaurant in North Norfolk. We had Crab cake and Lamb Kofta to start. Both were light and flavoursome. We then had the Hake on roasted Mediterranean veg and Sea Bass with its, samphire and dill sauce. As it was so good we had to try the sticky toffee pud and rhubarb crΓ¨me brΓ»lΓ©e. Wonderful. Nice bottle of Aix ProvenΓ§al rose washed it down nicely.β
βFirst day of a 3 days away They were v busy but we were able to get a table outside, we had a drink and the food arrived well before the estimated hours wait . Food was excellent, the belly pork was the most tender I've ever eaten and the tofu delicious. Well recommended, and we'll be back on our next tripβ
βPerfect food, amazing service! A very relaxed atmosphere, you can see why everyone refers you here!β
βWe had an amazing ploughmanβs lunch today. The bread was homemade as was the coleslaw. The onions were pickled in balsamic vinegar which were delicious. I had a lovely local cheese and my husband had a local ham. The butter was free a local farm. Well worth the money. Also a very friendly pub. Very well done.β
βI love the ham pizza, nothing complicated but it's to die forβ
βThe only Chinese takeaway in Norwich that I trust with my life. I've moved house and am no longer in the golden triangle, but I still get Cantonese Kitchen delivered. All the staff are so nice and friendly, you won't regret it.β
βWow! What a meal, decided to try our local Chinese off a recommendation from my good friend Becky. We are stuffed! Really good portion sizes and tasty dishes all round. Weβve had to stop bc weβre full but donβt worry weβll be polishing off the leftovers. My dear partner said the lady was absolutely lovely when we collected our food and she popped it all in a box for us. Good job China Star!!!β
βFood was delicious and good portions! Friendly staff - she made our night! Definitely will be coming back again! :)β
