“First time here and we all enjoyed it! Not quite sure why it’s taken me 12 years to to come here! Food and service was good. We will be back.”
“We were fully content with the dishes we had in World Service restaurant. We loved its ambience which set the tone for the overall dining experience. The fillet of beef was utterly delicious which is not an overstatement. Butternut squah terrine was creative and varied. As a side dish we also ordered triple cooked chips with smoked garlic and parmesan. I am not a big fan of chips in general however that one caught my attention and I enjoyed every single piece. Portions are tiny here as they are in most fine-dining restaurants. The only thing we did not like was the concept of service charge. It does not allow for an individual reward which might be a higher percentage point that the service charge itself. Yet, the overall culinary experience was worth it!”
“We had a lovely meal here with genuine Italian food. Everything was cooked and presented well. The service was kind and attentive. The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant. The location is excellent and we would definitely return.”
“Gorgeous food as normal. I cannot recommend the food highly enough. Our server, Emilia (Nottingham), was great - very knowledgeable!”
“Great service Great venue Food was nice Roast dinner about £20 Burger and chips about £17 Good quality food”
“I recently had a visit to this lovely restaurant with a group of friends. Parking: There is a limited car parking at the front with around 10-12 vehicle space. The restaurant has a very beautiful entrance with a small garden and water like fountain. Food: The food was all of good portion and was very delicious. They even catered and fulfilled our request to make the food a bit spicy. The food arrived in good timely manner as well. Seating: The seating was nicely laid out for our group. And there were plenty of other seats as well. We were provided with a separate room which was big enough for our group. Disabled access. Although we didnt have anyone who needed the need. However, for other disabled customer info, there is stairs which might be a bit of challenge to go to the restaurant from the car park entrance. Price: The price per customer was roughly 25£ for starters main and side dish. Excluding drinks. Staff and Service: Staff were nicely dressed and very professional. I would recommend this place to anyone who would like to have the thai food.”
“Absolutely fantastic!!! I couldn't recommend this place enough. So cute and quaint. You can taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Everything is curated to provide an 'authentic' Italian dining experience. Staff were fantastic, food was out of this world, couldn't have asked for a better meal.”
“This is such a great place! The drinks are top-notch, the food is well-priced and exactly what you want on a cosy, fun evening out. The atmosphere is always lively and welcoming, and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Best spot in Beeston!”
“One of the best set menu fine dining experiences in Nottingham. It was clear on every course the detail put into the flavours and presentation. The taste was also incredible on every course and very much worth the cost. I also went away feeling decent level of full and the course pacing allowed a good amount of time to make it's a great experience. Staff were also great and attentive to dietary needs. Overall a super experience worth trying.”
“Nice service and great food! Definitely try the sushi and sashimi dinner set (28 pounds including 12 pieces of sashimi, 6 pieces of sushi and 6 pieces of nigiri ( roughly) and dessert!!! Hot sake is also nice to try!”
“Great little takeaway with lots of choice. I ordered a couple of curries and they were spot on, fresh ingredients, authentic tasting and even delivered hot! This will be my go-to Indian takeaway from now on.”
“Came for the Living Goods pop up, stayed for the vibes!! Lovely cozy atmosphere and staff are 10/10 friendly, funny and just great. Can’t wait to visit again! Thanks all :-)”
“Great food and the service was amazing. This is definitely my new go to place in the area. The menu has a bit of everything on but the main thing is the quality of the food, which is great and super tasty. Nice to have a good Indian restaurant / takeaway in the area.”
“Love this pub. Me & my grandaughter had light bites but it was so filling. Sat in the bar area there’s also a dining area. First visit but hopefully I’ll visit again soon”
“I have been eating occasionally at Amores for many years, but it was probably about 5 years since my last visit. I had clearly forgotten just HOW GOOD the food is. The menu is great to enable you to construct the dish how you like, choosing your main component (i.e. meat) cooked in a way you like and then selecting appropriate sides, such as pasta, fries, veg etc to suit your mood. The options are all so very tempting! Service is quite speedy, with very helpful and friendly staff making you feel well looked after. The Tiramisu is divine... it was all exceptional but I will be having dirty dreams about that dessert.... If you haven't tried it yet, please do. It's well priced and you will leave feeling so very very happy.”
“We went for our second time recently, a year after the first time. The first time was OK, but this time the food was really great and tasty. Both times were on a Saturday for a late lunch. We took quite a few yakitori, including the aubergine, which was so good we took another one. Also had a fried rice to carb load. Great food, very fast. Not overly friendly but efficient. Good choice of sake too.”
“Great pub, gotta be the best in the village I’d say nowadays. Always busy, had great food, something for everyone. Great garden, always has been: the place is and has been amazing since the refurb! The real ale selection is a bit lacking but that’s not their main attraction, if you want that, go to other pubs in the village! Now for the star of the show: Lawrence! He’s great, and is an amazing waiter. He takes great care of you and his customer service is always on point.”
“I came to this place with my friend on Wednesday as she has been there before and she said it was really good. So we went there and to be honest I didn’t think it was going to be that good l. However I was completely shocked how good the food was in fact I was i element eating the food. The starter nachos was amazing the nachos was proper nachos they put the right amount of cheese and sauce on. The calzone was absolutely amazing. The portion size are big portions. The staff were lovely. The owners are lovely. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone.”
“Popped in on a Tues at 2.30pm. Luckily they serve food whilst loads of other food places in Nottingham were closed. Ordered lamb kofte and burger and chips. Food was served quickly and was delicious. Decor and atmosphere upstairs is very well decorated with posters, large screen tv and plants. I would recommend popping in.”
“Cosy atmosphere and great service in a former schoolhouse. Tasty freshly cooked food. The prawns pil pil were large and juicy, very nice. The vegetarian mushroom gnocchi had so many different variety of mushrooms in it. I would like to see more vegetarian options for mains though. Good selection of drinks. Very friendly staff. Would recommended.”
“City Restaurant on Redford Road is my absolute haven, a culinary oasis that I find myself drawn to three times a week – and for good reason! The star of the show is undeniably their whole chicken, a masterpiece of juiciness that keeps me coming back for more. Paired with the delightful combination of white and yellow rice and the unique touch of kozi, it's a symphony of flavors that leaves my taste buds in pure bliss. As I step through the doors, I'm always struck by the beauty and cleanliness that defines the interior. It's not just a restaurant; it's an experience. The attention to detail in creating an inviting atmosphere adds to the overall charm. Now, let's talk about their customer service – truly a shining gem. The staff is not only friendly but also incredibly helpful. They make each visit feel like a warm reunion, and their welcoming lentil soup is the perfect embodiment of their hospitality. And then there are the chickpeas and beans – a savory delight that never fails to impress. I haven't dared to try the fish yet, but if it's anything like the rest of the menu, I'm sure it's exceptional. City Restaurant has become a staple in my weekly routine, and I can't help but give it a well-deserved five-star review. The combination of outstanding food, a clean and beautiful setting, and customer service that goes above and beyond makes it an absolute standout. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out on a true culinary adventure!”
“Great food. Had a lovely lunch from the set menu. Very reasonably priced and main and desert were spot on. Had a latte and a soft drink as well, all nice. Don't know about alcohol prices but well worth a visit for lunch. Just a short update. Unfortunately the current management team are having to give up this pub in August 2025 due to new government budget pressures and family illness. Such a shame. Hope they can get somewhere else soon and, if not, wish them all the best for the future”
“We visited for the first time tonight and had a very good experience all around. The welcome was good, and the service was excellent throughout (attentive and very friendly). In addition to this, the food did not disappoint. Everything was very fresh and very tasty. I asked for a recommendation based on my preferences, and they got it spot on. Try the Chili fish starter, Chicken Tawa and Gurkhas Homestyle curry. They were all excellent! We arrived early into the evening so it was a bit quiet but don't let that put you off if you need to eat early, this is a good place to eat with good service. We will return.”
“I definitely recommend this restaurant. It has the feel of a cafe with Asian food. Everything is delicious and well cooked. If you’re looking for no frills, tasty food and reasonable prices. This is a good choice.”
“We always go here whenever we fancy a Chinese. Portions are very generous, crispy chilli beef stays crispy even when drowned in the sauce and salt and chilli Chips were coated with flavour. Coming from a Chinese takeaway kid myself this is one of the best takeaways in nottingham”
“Absolutely amazing food, full of flavors without the greasy aftertaste. Well worth a visit. To start was the tandori panier and the fish amritsari, genuinely great taste the food was piping hot and didn't taste like it was pre-made. The main course wasn't on the menu as I had asked what the server preferred, but it's his take on the garlic chilli chicken curry, except it was made with lamb and had his unique taste of spices. It was delicious and was complimented with lemon rice. The other main was chicken biryani. And this was definitely made fresh the chicken was perfect. Overall the food was outstanding, but what let's it down unfortunately is the outside entrance doesn't do it any favors, I would highly recommend giving jhakhas a try.”
“Beautiful food. Served fres and cooked while you wait. The best Thai food I have had in Beeston and Chilli and the surrounding areas. Service was good and it is a nice quiet place. Seemed like family run and that gives it a personal feel. Quite popular and that shows the food was good.”
“Small lil micropub with very friendly and cheerful staff, a good choice of beers and spirits to choose from, with small bites to go alongside, and a variety of board games to play while you’re there. They’re located right on Haydn Road, with shops and restaurants beside it. A bit of catchy tunes in the background as well. In short, a fantastic place to be at, with some good vibes and friendly faces - a welcome addition to Sherwood; would definitely be returning!”
“Great place to invite friends from other locations. Lovely museum, and absolutely wonderful garden. Coffee is very good. And it is a spaceous place!”
“If you stay in Doubletree by Hilton then you should visit their onsite restaurant. The menu is great, the food quality is outstanding so no need to search for a restaurant in Nottingham citi centre.”
