“Popped in for a drink around lunchtime on 4th December 2025, before the drive home after visiting the island for a couple of days. Very friendly staff, speedy service and smiles all round. Large venue and wheelchair accessible as we see a large party of wheelchair users having their lunch. The manager, waitressing and bar staff was very pleasant to deal with. The place was in full Christmas spirit with festive decorations and festive menues on display. I had a soft drink and my partner had a pint, he said it was nice and refreshing. Although we didn't eat there, the food smelt lovely. Will visit properly for food next time we visit the island.”

“Absolutely superb. Go there every Friday evening with my dad for a few pints. (We're 55 and 82). Lots of lively groups, between 18 and 100 years old. Good food, great beers. A true community asset. Thank you Wetherspoons!”

“Took my family for son's birthday here and everything was amazing. Staff are friendly and very accommodating, especially Tom. He was so lovely and polite and went above and beyond. “Rooms was lovely ( abit dated ) beds was comfy bed cover had burn mark on it and stains . Staff was great very helpful , great idea for the ear plugs can get loud some what . Parking for 3 cars in a 11 room hotel is first come basses . Parking round back but it's on meter , great being set in town easy to walk to other bars and restaurants .”

“Very clean and spacious environment and obviously popular, food is served and looked good but we were only here for a few drinks before moving on. They had a good selection of beers and those we tried we're all very good would happily come back again.”

“Did a Quick review of the menu whilst at Clarence pier end of portsmouth and found a very reasonable priced menu for late lunch/early dinner £6 meals for a family of 4 which was great value, nice portions and very nice food. All staff were very polite, made it an enjoyable visit. It was very clean and tidy and definitely recommend this to others.”

“My friends and I came here for the quiz night on Wednesday. We were welcomed with friendly staff. The service and attentiveness on the night was very good. For £3 to enter the quiz, which includes a curry or chips, everyone on my table was satisfied. The quiz itself was fun and good entertainment. Will definitely return & recommend to others.”
