“Excellent as always, great community spirit”
“2 standard swings. Slide. Based climbing ladder/frame. And 1 rocking horse. Not too much to do, but it's OK for 3-7 year Olds. It's also right next to the nature reserve, so a good place to stop before heading back.”
“I visited here with a friend (who has moderate learning difficulties), I was apprehensive at first due to having a visual impairment myself, but it was a fantastic experience. The cinema is easily found, the food & drinks counters were clearly displayed & it was very simple to use a digital ticket to enter. The sound wasn't excessively loud, the seats were comfortable & the floors were clean. I found the screen fairly easy to see. The only minor complaint is the amount of adverts before the film begins, but this is to be expected at all cinemas! Very enjoyable experience, excellent.”
“Overnight stay. There dinner bed and breakfast offer was great value for money. As long as you know your going into an older building on busy road in the centre of the village you will be happy with the service and quality of food”
“I purchased a formal wear gift that required gift wrapping. Unfortunately, the suit was too large for the oversized wrap. However, the kind customer service team (Claire & Carol) worked their magic, pouring love into the process to make it work. I truly appreciate their outstanding support and dedication in going above and beyond.”
“Ny kids have the most enjoyable time at this soft play the manager always welcomes us with the kindest warmest smile. The soft play is so clean. Whilst my children enjoy a run around I always enjoy my hot beverages and jacket potato made by Tracey she’s so friendly and one of the reasons I always find myself coming back to this soft play”
“We attended Trunkwell for our work Christmas do in the wizard of oz themed space. Oh my goodness what an experience we loved the whole thing, the Decor, food and drinks were amazing. LOVED the dodgems ! One girl in particular- Patsi went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time ! She greeted us so warmly, and checked in through out the whole event - nothing we asked was a problem. She really did stand out during the whole running of the evening. She’s a great asset to your team! Please pass our thanks on! We cannot wait to return !”
“Hatch Warren Community Centre is first and foremost a large green space that is open to the public and free to visit, with a small free car park on site (just remember there is a one way system!). The space itself has 2/4 football pitches marked out for most of the year and is regularly cut by the council, so the grass is generally a sensible length year-round. There are some small wooded areas that separate the field from nearby housing areas, but you can explore some of these if you want a bit of variety on a walk. Great place to bring dogs and there are bins either end of the field for you to dispose of any "gifts". There is a small strip in the centre that was once part of a cricket pitch, but it's in no fit state to be used anymore for that purpose. Maybe the council will fix it once day? The hall itself often hosts events and is also open for private hire. It's worth checking their noticeboard or Facebook page to see what's on.”
“Great facilities, friendly staff, good disabled access. Can't fault it at all! 5 stars for quality of facilities and for helpfulness.”
“Had exclusive hire for a party of 30 for a 6yr. Brilliant experience. The kids had a choice of food beforehand and on the day the staff worked tirelessly hard to keep both the children and parents serviced with food and drinks. They even cut up the cake for us, it's little touches like that, that makes them stand out from the others. Pricewise it was a winner too, cheaper than the ones around East Reading. Very secure during party time. Kids loved it, we added the disco to the package too. Takes place after the food, kids liked the glow sticks but then vanished off into the soft play not long after, not even a disco could compete with the draw of more soft play time. Very highly recommend.”
“Came to play today with my one year old and really enjoyed our time. Nice friendly staff and clean premises. Also extremely fair prices for food and drink. Highly recommend.”
“I had a recent problem with a faulty product and was getting nowhere online but the team at Argos, particularly Lilly, were super helpful and sorted it with no fuss.”
“Wanted to call out the excellent customer service we received today . We were served by Tia. We returned some faulty toddler joggers - leg seam was not stitched properly. without any issue -Tia dealt with us politely and professionally. Went to find another pair in the stockroom and exchange was completed. Many thanks Next and Tia”
“Came in on Wednesday 27th of August with my 2 daughters, they had lots of fun in the roll play area. Spoke to a girl called Rubie and she was very helpful and answered all of my questions. The kids had loads of fun I would definitely recommend, Great day out.”
“I love this store. Although there is a bigger one in the south of Reading, there is a much better atmosphere in this store. The manager of this store is fantastic and runs it extremely well. I’m always there!”
“Great large hall with kitchen and large outdoor area for kids! Great space! So much to do in thw garden for the kids!”
“Lovely room with a view of the golf course, pet friendly bed and food bowls supplied even a dog treat. Only thing I can complain about is there was no air con, but they did have a fan. Overall would highly recommend,”
“Super helpful staff. I tried to book bowling for my son and his friends very last minute, as part of his birthday fun. The website was playing up and not allowing me to book. I tried to call, the line was always busy so I resorted to an email contact. Well, I received a response within minutes and then had someone call me. I was able to book a lane quickly and the staff were very helpful, friendly and responsive. Thank you.”
“Great Holland's Boxing Club. A great location for the local youth to get some top notch training from very enthusiastic and helpful local former boxers( all superb in their careers) who thoroughly enjoy passing their experience on to the next generation of”
“We have been here a few times to bring our toddler to the soft play and he has always enjoyed himself and the cafe has fairly good coffee and variety of hot and cold food at a decent price too. Recently we booked the soft play for our three-year old's birthday party and had 16 children in the castle room. The party was great and the children had a brilliant time playing and everyone enjoyed the food. The communication before the party was clear and helpful and and on the day staff were friendly and polite and on hand when assistance was required. The best thing and the real difference maker was that we had two children in the party with food allergies, one of which was severe. The staff really went the extra mile before the party and on the day to ensure that they could provide these children with something to eat so that they felt included in the party. They also spoke to the parents and showed them the food packaging to give them peace of mind. Both sets of parents told me after how grateful they were for this and how they usually have to provide their own food or their child misses out and said how excited their children were that they got to join in with the food part of the party. Thank you very much!”
“The team at Little Birches have been absolutely amazing with my son. My experience with the nursery has been nothing but positive and my little boy loves being there. We will be very sad to be leaving to start school at the end of the summer.”
“Our son has a wonderful time at Maples; he's always well looked after and the staff do a fantastic job! Sophie is an excellent nursery manager who communicates clearly and regularly with us regarding any developments pertinent to us.”
“I have had 2 special needs children come through Beenham and can honestly say they are not only supportive to the child but the whole family too. I can honestly say nothing but positive, my child loves the preschool setting and I completely feel at ease knowing he is safe and comfortable. The settings staff are amazing and very dedicated to the children. I am looking forward to enrolling my next child”
“Our daughter has been attending 3mx Childcare since she was 2 years old, and as she prepares to start school this September, we feel incredibly grateful for the care and guidance she has received under Sandy and Bobby’s leadership. From day one, 3mx has provided a warm, safe, and stimulating environment where our daughter has flourished. She arrives happy and leaves with a smile — a clear reflection of the nurturing atmosphere Sandy and Bobby have created. Communication with parents is a real strength at 3mx. We receive daily WhatsApp updates, photos, monthly newsletters, and detailed termly assessments. These consistent touchpoints have helped us stay informed about her learning, progress, and well-being. Parent meetings are thorough and supportive, giving us a clear understanding of her development and next steps. We have full confidence that our daughter is progressing well and is being well-prepared for school — both socially and academically. Her confidence, independence, and communication skills have all grown noticeably, and we credit Sandy and Bobby’s dedication for that progress. They have also been attentive and responsive to her medical needs, which has given us constant reassurance that her safety and health are a priority. Most importantly, we know that our daughter is learning in a secure, happy, and caring environment. She is known as an individual, supported in her unique needs, and encouraged to thrive. We believe 3mx Childcare, under Sandy and Bobby’s care, is an excellent early years setting, and we are genuinely thankful for the strong foundation they’ve given our daughter as she moves on to school.”
“A wonderful nursery with highly trained and experienced staff who show real care for the kids. This place has been the best decision we have made for our children. I highly recommend”
“I am truly glad my son attends Learn&Grow Kennet Island. Amarah and her team are really engaged in communicating with children. Always friendly, my son everyday talking about teachers and what they did together. No doubt, I'm absolutely happy to be a part of Learn&Grow!”
“We had an absolutely wonderful experience at First Place in Beaconsfield with both our children and highly recommend it. The staff are so caring and were especially helpful in supporting our daughter's transition to school. We were incredibly sad to leave and both children ask about their nursery teachers often!”
“My daughter has been at this nursery for just over two years, starting off in the baby room. While there have been some expected staff changes the care has consistently exceeded my high hopes. She is not only kept safe and well educated, but given all the affection she could want and loves going into nursery each weekday morning. It is an extremely positive, welcoming, and supportive environment and she loves having a close-knit set of peers to engage with. Every carer has been wonderful with her, there is a genuine concern for her well-being from them. Her key carers build very special relationships with her and us. The educational lessons vary widely from foreign languages to sports to practical cooking skills, and she has thrived under the high level of stimulation and learning. We initially felt very guilty leaving her there each workday but it has turned out to be the best thing to stimulate and develop her and give her the best possible preparation for formal schooling and life.”
“Tweseldown playgroup is a wonderful setting and my son has absolutely thrived since starting there. The team are amazing and always go above and beyond! The children are provided with amazing opportunities of play and my son comes home every time telling me all about his day. The outdoor space is brilliant and adds to the overall experience. I really cannot recommend it enough!”
