“We love popping into the magic sunflower, so when planning our wedding we knew we would love them to make our cake. The did a wonderful job, it was beautiful and very yummy. “This is a fantastic hidden gem. It has a elsan point and fresh water points. We have always booked sites with electric and premier pitches so this was out of our comfort zone as its a basic site but goodness me. It's turned out to be be our favorite site. We came to an 80s weekend in July and are now attending the Oktoberfest event this weekend. Breakfast, tea and cake and dinner cobs are on offer throughout the weekend. The owners are so obliging and friendly, Make time for the campers, put games and make it a really fun weekend. Would highly recommend this site.”

“I booked a solo dining experience on the kitchen bench at the end of August. This was my first foray into fine dining and I was not disappointed. From the moment I was greeted at the door, I was made to feel incredibly welcome. The taster menu and whole kitchen bench experience was just wonderful. It was more relaxed than I was expecting which suited me perfectly! The food was exceptional - I was presented with a wide range of dishes which gave me the opportunity to try things that I hadn't before and I enjoyed every moment. Whilst the food itself was wonderful, it was the restaurant and kitchen staff that really took my visit to another level. Everyone was very warm and friendly, not to mention attentive. I was looked after incredibly well, especially by John's team in the kitchen. Thank you for such a fantastic experience and I definitely plan to return.”

“Kefi hosted my baby shower and it was absolutely stunning. The charcuterie boards were luxurious and beautifully presented, the cakes were delicious and home made (the brownie is just to die for), the soft warm focaccia bread complimented the grazing table…. It was just all around a beautiful experience and you could tell Kefi had put in an overwhelming amount of effort. The staff ensured everyone had a warm or cold drink, and the afternoon flowed so elegantly as we were looked after so well. One thing that stood out was their catering to dietary requirements, we had celiac, vegan, and pregnant attendees. The owner beautifully segregated all of the boards to suit each diet and labelled everything up whilst still ensuring the presentation was of a high standard! I genuinely recommend hiring Kefi to host your special events as the building is so beautiful and gives such cosy vibes.”

“This was a recommendation from a friend and it was worth the hour and a half drive! The story I was told was that the chef was a Michelin star chef working in London, who was sick of the rat race and relocated to Matlock in Derbyshire. My partner and I opted for the 7 course taster menu and what a sensation that was. EVERY dish was an explosion in the mouth of complimentary flavours and textures. With the appetisers, the sour dough bread and the mous bouches , it turned out to be almost 10 courses. Just look at the photos! Unbelievable! The location is beautiful too. The outside terrace overlooks the river and the sounds of the water creates at truly romantic setting. The staff were excellent too and I’m surprised that Stones doesn’t already have a Michelin star! Out of this world and I would recommend everyone that likes food to try it! @ £80 per person, it is an absolute bargain. For food like this you would pay double that in London!”
