“Great service, staff are friendly and helpful. Pizza here is amazing as they have a proper pizza oven!! The bases are sourdough and are so delicious with great topping options would definitely recommend the nduja pizza! Prices are reasonable”

“A brilliant band played there last night. The beer was really good if you like craft and real ales. The location is really close to the ferry and cruise terminals so if you are visiting the local area I highly recommend a drink (or 2) in this traditional British pub. The staff are really friendly and apparently this was a pub/ale house when the Titanic left Southampton and was copied for a scene in the film. After sitting in the window seats last night I can absolutely believe that maybe true.”

“An excellent" modern" brewery bar set in an ancient stone building, directly opposite the Red Funnel ferry terminal. A superb range of home brewed real ales and craft beers is available. Great atmosphere, fascinating interior, great service. A must for any beer enthusiast - welcomes families and children too. Some outdoor seating albeit on the busy road out front. Best parking for drivers is in the nearby Mayflower Park, at £1.50 for 2 hours.”

“Very good pub/bar about ten minutes walk from Southampton Central Station. Three cask beers on handpump when I last visited. The pub is on two levels with the main bar and drinking area in the basement/cellar. Not too busy before and after the Spurs game at St Mary's Stadium.”

“Honestly this was such a pleasant suprise and so refreshing in the quality of food and drinks available. I was not just surprised at the variety of options in both food and drink, but the quality and flavours of everything. There was not one dish of drink that I didn't not enjoy. Commendations to the owners and the those that creators of the masterpieces. I am proud to say that I stopped taking pictures in between as I chose to savour the flavours. Highly highly recommend.”

“Came for lunch on a week day, wasn't expecting too much but given the car park was nearly full and the pub was quite busy I had better expectations and I wasn't wrong, the team were friendly and helpful. They have a good range of beers and drinks, the wine was of a good standard too. The show stopper was the food, I had venison, my wife the chicken, both dishes were delicious, frankly I could have eaten anything listed on the specials board, we left very happy!”

“Very tasty tacos in centre of Winchester. Really nice vibe. Dog friendly. Key thing is all home made. The tacos were so soft and fluffy and the fillings had real flavour and depth. Nice bar space inside with wide choice of beers. Would definitely go back.”

“Still my favourite restaurant around. Super service and scrummy food just how I remembered. Returned after 3.5 years away and was greeted as we walked in the door by staff. Lovely to see an open fire lit for lunch service. Cosy and welcoming. Food was just how I remembered, fresh and flavourful. Abbie and team were very attentive. Loved it and won’t leave it so long next time!”

“Just finished a fantastic Sunday lunch here. We had the roast pork and the sausages & mash (on special). My Roast pork was one of the best I've ever had, (my only criticism is that there could have been more of it) the roast potatoes were lovely and crispy and fluffy inside, all accompanied with a superb veg selection of steamed savoy cabbage, carrot and swede mash, broccoli and red cabbage. The gravy that came with it seemed to be specifically pork gravy and was delicious. I asked for stuffing with the pork and extra gravy. Nothing was too much trouble and I will definitely be going back again even tho it's 25 minutes drive, it is well worth it. 5 stars without hesitation!”

“A favourite treat night for us , that's not silly expensive ,tho the drinks can catch you out and would benefit by having some drinks offers . But it's all about the excellent steak cuts sourced locally that in our four visits, I've never had to remove any gristle or veins , you can eat the lot ,with unlimited fries & salad that are also excellent & fresh . The manager Rob ,efficient and a joy ,ask him for a song . Dog friendly & booking advised at peak times . Tip ,sit near the doors ,20 tables cooking multiple steaks gets heady , and leave room for me .”

“We came here last Sunday around 2pm for a late lunch. Upon arrival I was a little worried as I didn't know if there would be any outside tables. I need not have worried. There was 6 of us and we got a large table in the marquee which was lovely. The food was ordered and came within a reasonable amount of time. The portions were huge and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff were all extremely polite and professional and I felt very comfortable at the pub. At first glance it may seem a little pricey, however once the food comes out you can clearly see that you do get extremely good value for your money. Not only were the meals delivered to the tables within a good time, they were all cooked to perfection and certainly very fresh. I would definitely recommend this pub and it's food.”

“We went to Shenanigans last Saturday to finish off what was a great Saturday night. It was my wife’s birthday and we had a table reserved which they held even though we were a bit late. The bar has a brilliant atmosphere with very friendly and helpful staff and a fantastic pint of Guinness. I would 100% recommend this place.”

“9 of us celebrated an 80th birthday, with Sunday lunch at the Kings Head. We cannot speak highly enough of the quality of the food, it arrived at the table very quickly, and was piping hot. The waiting staff were impeccable, there if we needed something without being intrusive, and always with a smile. A very enjoyable experience in lovely surroundings. Can’t wait to return.”

“The best burgers me and my mum have ever had. We had half each of the shredded chicken and beef brisket, they were both absolutely devine. I could not recommend eating here more. Even the chips were beautiful. 100% will return. These really just aren't any burgers !!!”
