“We rented Rosehill for a multigen family weekend with 11 adults and 9 children and cannot recommend it highly enough. The grounds are beautiful, there is ample to keep children (and adults!) entertained, and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The hosts were friendly and easy to communicate with. We hired a private chef -Roots and Wings -for a Saturday adult dinner, also highly recommended. Overall, perfect for our needs.”

“Great place for a reunion of friends. Would equally suit a family looking for a few nights away. The house is clean though in some areas a bit tired but overall what one would expect for an older property. The views and scenery are stunning and it's very quiet so a great place to get away from it all and unwind. Nearest pub is a short drive away in a nearby village so if you want a pub in walking distance not really doable. The open fire in the lounge is fantastic and we bought extra firewood which is essential. One of the bedrooms was very cramped but the others were great with comfy beds. Kitchen well stocked with utensils, cooker, hob and microwave plus dishwasher a bonus. Overall, for the price, the property, I believe, offers fantastic value for money and great place for stopping a few nights.”

“I really like this place even though I don't get to go here often. It's brilliant as someone who doesn't really find time to cook can still get meat and vegetables rather than fries and greasy burger. The food is cooked really well which is really important for this type of food and there are plenty of options for customising your meal. I just hope there are more of this type of fast food opening up in other places.”

“We stopped in for Sunday lunch today. Don’t be fooled, the place looks unassuming but it packs a punch! We had the pork belly, the beef and the kids had pizza. Utterly delicious. First off you can order yorkies as a side AND a pot of gravy. I am always wanting more of both. Secondly the meat was cooked perfectly there was a great selection of veggies and the roast pots were yum. The portions were just right as well and we were able to sit for a moment and relax whilst the kids went into the playground. The staff were also brilliant, so friendly and helpful. Thank you The Ketch, you made our Sunday!”

“I stay here regularly for work and always manage to get a good nights sleep, rooms are basic but perfectly adequate, normally with at least a kettle and microwave. Warm in winter and cool in summer. The owners are great, very friendly and helpful.”

“Had a lovely comfortable stay. We were in the coach house very clean bed comfortable but could do with a lick of paint & some attention to the Bathroom. Breakfast was lovely fresh & very filling. The Staff upon arrival & through out our stay were Brilliant! Excellent customer service so friendly. We will be back.”

“We came in as we were stopping at the premier inn next door for an event. We thought we'd go here for the evening and were extremely surprised by the food and service. Every meal we had (steak, pork belly, pie, hallumi fries, desserts) were incredible. We had a very friendly waitress who I believe was called Emma. The experience was brilliant and couldn't recommened enough.”

“This pub was a fantastic find for one-night stop on our summer holiday! Our family room was great, with a double bed and a separate room with a bunk bed. The bathroom was huge! We also loved the little touches, like the kettle with options for tea, coffee, and hot chocolate right in the room. We arrived late in the afternoon and missed the Sunday carvery, but the food from the regular menu was also delicious. The staff were all so friendly. Ethan, was a star and helped us pick out some nice cocktails. The hot breakfast the next morning was wonderful. We had a really great time and would definitely recommend it. It's a great spot with a nice campsite too.”

“Newcomer to area, this seems by far best fish and chip shop around so far. They do those amazingly special chicken curries with chips that remind me of beach towns in South Wales.”

“Although I am in Knutsford, I really enjoy going to Harry’s. The portions of chips are really big and the fish delicious. Most of all I love a good natter with Harry and his partner if he isn’t busy. A wonderful, friendly chippy worth going out of your way for!”

“We visited after spending the afternoon with the grandchildren at the Pantomine. The meal was from the lunch menu as we were too early for the evening menue. However there was loads to choose from and portions were very big. Presentation was lovely and the service by the waitress GABBIE was five star!! Very polite and attentive.
