“The experience from start to finish was first class. The Hotel itself is just beautiful and comfy.....Bar, Restaurant and rooms. We stayed in a club deluxe which was priced at £115, very good for Belfast. Staff were very nice and helpful; and the beds were so comfy.”

“Great hotel, and I love that it's kid-friendly, with many families with small kids around. Starting with the room, it's a great space. The temperature is perfect – not too hot, not too cold – and it's late October. The restaurant was fine. The food was good, and the staff was great. They had a Halloween event this weekend, and it was the highlight of the hotel. It was just amazing! The kids loved it, and we did too. There was a Halloween disco and then a pumpkin carving with a bouncing castle. Such a great time! I love this event and we will definitely come back for more.”

“Room was very small but had everything we needed. Could do with a tiny fridge but still ee were happy with all. The bathroom was lovely, modern and clean, had soap and clean towels for us. Staff were very nice, breakfast warm and tasty with nice coffee and fresh fruit, plenty of space to sit and enjoy it. The hotel was quiet, beds comfortable, had grest sleep. It also has a nice clean and modern gym. I would definitely stay again.”

“We stayed for our friend’s wedding, which was amazing. The staff were all lovely and always smiling, and the rooms were gorgeous. The food at the wedding was amazing. The rooms were lovely and well looked after. However there was a lot of hair on the bed and found on the shower head and inside the bottom of the Dyson hair dyer. The fridge in the room was a nice add, however when we checked out the prices it put us off completely. £3.50 for Pringles which you could get a big box of Pringles at the shop for £2.00. On the bright side, we went for lunch the following day and it was gorgeous. We had strawberry daiquiris for £15.00, which was a bit pricey, but they were so nice that we still bought them. However, if someone is paying to stay, they expect decent prices.”

“I attended an event at The Balmoral Hotel on Saturday, organised by my jiu-jitsu club, and it couldn’t have gone better. The place itself is beautiful and has a real sense of occasion about it. The staff were fantastic – friendly, attentive, and clearly take pride in what they do. Everything ran seamlessly from start to finish, and the food was spot on. You could tell a lot of care went into making sure the night was enjoyable for everyone. It’s rare to find a venue that delivers across the board like that. I’d definitely recommend The Balmoral to anyone planning an event or looking for somewhere impressive to celebrate.”

“Visited for 1 night, wished I'd stayed a bit longer on trip! I was warned in advance room was above a bar, was not an issue as was attending a concert and by the time I got back to the hotel, all the noise of the evening had gone. Ideal location for anyone visiting Ulster Hall, was a 10 minute walk. Room was huge! Beds were huge the bathroom was huge! Very spacious room. Big opening windows and thick blackout curtains. Shower was excellent - had a big overhead rainfall head as well as detachable hose. Temperature and pressure were great. Variety of toiletries provided along with towels, hairdryer and iron and ironing board if you like that kind of thing. Check-in was self check in via a touch screen, easy to work and then a free beer as a reward! There is no lift in the building, my room was 3 flights up, so not suitable if not able to use stairs. Excellent, can't fault and would stay again and recommend.”

“Really helpful staff. Turned up several hours early hoping to leave our bags so we could go and explore Belfast before check in, and the room was ready so they checked us straight in. Came down early for breakfast on our last day, ready for an early flight, not realising it was served later at the weekend, and they were happy to accommodate Room was clean with everything we needed. Nice bar area. Excellent location. Reasonably priced. Would definitely go back. Thanks!”

“This hotel was recently renovated. I have stayed in many many hotels, this one was by far the best for this price point. In fact I've paid 3x the cost for rooms half as good. The room was incredible, the bed was perfect, and the included breakfast was spectacular. The staff were super friendly. Huge TV in the room with great connectivity. Fast wifi. The shower had 2 heads and the pressure was incredible. I hope I get to stay here again before I leave Ireland. I've never been more refreshed from a hotel stay.”

“Following a minor car accident. I quickly booked a room for the night as I was stranded. On arriving at the hotel I found out that I had booked a room for the next evening and that there were no rooms available. I didn't know what to do as it was the early hours of the morning. The staff in Lisburn couldn't have been more helpful. They allowed me to sit in the lobby until a more decent hour when I would be able to get transport home. Dawn and Natasha helped me to relax after the stressful incident, made me tea and chatted to me during the night. They were absolutely wonderful and showed that they genuinely cared about me even though I wasn't a guest at the hotel. I can't thank them enough. I watched them showing the same kindness to the other guests as they started to get ready for their day. Fabulous ladies.”

“This is a great hotel. We've stayed here before but it was over 20 years ago and I think it was called the Crescent Townhouse then. The staff were great, friendly and welcoming. I have allergies and so asked to have hypoallergenic pillows and this was no problem. I wish I had also asked to have all the bedding replaced as the duvet was down filled but ghat was my fault for not thinking to ask. The free beer in the fridge as you enter the hotel is a lovely touch. You can opt for a discounted room above the bar but we chose not to. There was still noise but this didn't affect us too much. The staff in the bar were also great.”

“I fell in the hotel late at night. Amanda from reception was excellent. She stayed after her shift finished at 11pm staying with me to 11.35pm to make sure I was ok. She went above and beyond making me tea, a nice glass of iced water. She informed her colleagues of what had happened to me that if I needed anything in the middle of the night that they were not to hesitate and look after me. Thank you so much Amanda you made my stay so much more comfortable and showed me that someone cared.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at The Avenue Belfast! The morning of our arrival we got an email with all the important details including the code for the key safe etc. Our Room and bathroom were both really clean and seemed to be freshly renovated. The common area was cleaned daily and the housekeeper was a real sweetheart! He gave us two umbrellas, because we forgot ours at home and it was pouring outside. Thanks again for that! When coming to visit Belfast again, we'll surely stay at the avenue Belfast!”

“Of all the places I stayed over 2 years, old bank is probably the best in terms of dignity and kindness. Claire genuinely cares about people which is rare in temporary accommodation/hostels. Laura is lovely, the staff go beyond what is expected of them. I didn't want to leave.”

“We have stayed here a number of times whilst visiting family. A professional and friendly welcome every time. The staff can't do enough for you and nothing is too much bother. The staff always have a cheerful manner. The food is well presented and very tasty. The rooms are comfortable and cleaned daily. Breakfast is full of variety and again well presented and tasty. There is a large sitting area where you can sit and enjoy a drink from the bar including teas or coffees. The area also has tables for meals.the hotel adjoins the Botanic Inn which also has an outdoor sitting area with a van to buy a burger and chips etc if you so desire. The hotel is placed well for access to the city either by walking or getting a bus 50yards down the road, and opposit for coming back. Visit the museum in the park just down the road near the Queens uni. I did have a wobble moment about adding this review as we may not manage to get a room in the future if people read how good it is.”

“A truly wonderful hotel. Spotlessly clean and fantastic customer service. My only little moan was with regards to breakfast, it was stated that it was available till 11am however on arrival at the dining room there was nobody around to serve me and a notice on the wall informed that breakfast was only served till 10am.... I was there at 9.55am???? So unfortunately I left disappointed and hungry!!! Truthfully, regardless of that I had a great stay.☺️”
