“I think these are probably the best burgers I've ever had. Big man's food comes in a close second, but since discovering this place by chance a few months ago I've ordered from here 4 times, 4 different burgers, all equally amazing. All fresh, all the ingredients compliment each other perfectly, the sauces are great, the fries are skin on. The prices are more than you'd pay at McDonald's or burger King, but you get what you pay for!”

“Booked this venue on the 3rd September for my daughters 1st birthday. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to hold a party. All the bar staff were very pleasant and helpful and went out of there way to make it such a special day. Toni who we booked with decorated the room to a high standard, as well as pointing us in the direction of booking a great DJ and bouncy castle. I have no faults what so ever and 100% will be booking again in the near future”

“Found this little gem by chance, and what a find. Recently taken over by new management. The decor was welcoming and comforting, with very nice leather sofa's and armchairs, amongst other tables and chairs. with a nice out door area included at the rear of the pub. We had an afternoon lunch which was of high quality at a very decent price. Staff was very pleasant too. A must visit, one which we will certainly be returning too soon.”

“The Weary Traveller has become my home from home this last week while I visit friends and family in the area. Sam was very welcoming and the local regulars have been accepting of this 'Auzzie outsider'. I haven't sampled the food but the ale is on par and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is welcoming and inclusive. The place can go from quiet to 'everyone singing to the duke box' very quickly indeed. Look forward to calling The Weary Traveller my 'local' for another week while I retread my infancy and continue to visit family.”

“I visited the Quest during last week with family to play pool as i had heard there was new owners. Rob reassured my family that it was a safe place and that they were going to be a family inclusive pub. I recommend the Quest to families to help our community be a strong place!!!”

“We have just been to the breakfast with santa. It was a lovely experience. There were craft activities with really nice quality stickers and glue and also a station to make up a bag of reindeer food. The breakfast was lovely. My daughter had the Christmas shaped pancakes with some strawberries and sauce, I had a vegetarian breakfast which was good. Santa was brilliant and the manager was around, working hard and dressed up too. The set up by the fireplace made for a lovely photo opportunity. Will come back again next year.”

“Huge thanks to the staff for accommodating our large Xmas party. 50 people were fed twice over with the excellent buffet and the bar staff were so good at serving over 70 people with drinks. The manager was so helpful and managed all our changes and updates and the decorations we bought. Already talk of when the next party will be….”

“I visited this restaurant for breakfast and had such a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect place to start the day. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. The food wast fresh, hot, and beautifully presented. Every bite was lovely, it really set this breakfast apart from others I’ve had. Overall, this was a delightful breakfast spot with great service from Michelle, delicious food, and a relaxing vibe. “Absolutely amazing stay! After a terrible experience at another hotel, coming here was a complete relief. The room was spotless, modern, and super comfortable, everything perfectly clean and well looked after. A huge thank you to Mini at reception — she was incredibly kind, professional, and welcoming. After such a rough start to my trip, she truly turned things around and made me feel at home. The whole hotel is calm, clean, and well organized — I finally managed to rest properly! I’ll definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and genuinely pleasant stay.”

“It's been years since I'd been in this pub( Bass House). We went and had lunch there and was pleasantly surprised at the good and varied menu. The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful. We will definitely be returning. Another great night celebrating my mother's birthday. The food was amazing,10 of us and we all enjoyed our meals. Excellent service from the waitresses too.”

“We visited the Digby today. 06th August (2025) Our first visit in more years than I care to remember. We were happy to receive a warm welcome, and find that the atmosphere here was lovely and relaxed. The food was hot and delicious, portion sizes were generous and very reasonably priced. Service was excellent, speedy and friendly. Will definitely come back next time we are in Birmingham. Would certainly recommend this place to others”

When i usually go i get served by Kayleigh and she is so friendly and caring, she makes sure we are sufficiently looked after and makes sure our food arrives in good time. “First time visitor to The Court Oak, received a friendly welcome when came in. The lady serving on the bar was friendly, and checked if had parked so can validate the parking. I did not not need to, but nice that would be a reminder if did. I did not have to wait to be served at the bar, the drink was served quickly, nice and cold and with a smile. It is deceptively spacious inside, with lots of areas to sit and relax. All of the tables were clean and tidy. Spotted they have Franks Red Hot sauce on the tables - have not seen that out before in a Sizzling - definitely a bonus for the spice fans. I will have to come for dinner sometime! Look forward to returning!”
