“We had a lovely time thank you. We went for the Tom Shepherd Best Ever pie and it didn’t disappoint. Our server, Toni, was friendly and helpful and gave recommendations when asked and helped source my elderly mother a smaller meal via the children’s menu. We have only been here before years ago for my brothers birthday. My brother used the pub regularly. To be honest I don’t know why we haven’t used it more. Maybe we will now. Thanks to all. The food and service were great.”

“The Dog Inn was recommended by another pub landlord as they were not offering food and the recommendation was on the nose. The food at the Dog Inn is exceptional. We went for a ate afternoon meal on a Friday so there were a number of patrons, however the service was quick and polite. They offer a standard menu as you would expect, with a specials board as well as a pasta of the week and soup of the day. We opted for the latter 2 options as they were Chicken and Chorizo bake and a mixed vegetable soup (which the waitress advised was very nice and the staff we all having it!). Both were absolutely exquisite. The soup was a large portion server with 3 slices of crusty bread and ample butter, which was more than enough for my fiance. Whilst the pasta was equal parts beautifully cooked pasta shells and protein, all loving topped with a thick layer of cheese and server with 3 pieces of homemade crusty garlic bread. All of this (2 meals) and 3 drink between us cost just under £30 total so it it also extremely good value for money. The pub itself is beautifully presented, with ample indoor seating spread across a number of rooms, outdoor seating to the left and rear of the premises, wrap around parking and guest rooms.”

“I went here for the first time on Friday and had an absolute blast. The food and drinks were unreal (and generous portions!) and every single staff member was SO friendly. I have a 5 month old puppy so I’m always wary of places that claim to be ‘dog friendly’ but this place was great and there were plenty of other happy dogs having a great time with their owners too. I’ll definitely be back and making my way through both the food menu and drinks menu!”

“The food was absolutely delicious, we came for my partners parents birthdays/retirement dinner. I had the crab arancini and was absolutely blown away, I can confidently say it was the best arancini I’ve ever had. The filet steak was superb, as a chef myself, it was cooked to perfection. Sadly I only snapped two photos of the food I had however, the pizzas are incredibly big and fresh! No complaints from the nine of us dined together. The liquor “safe” has an exquisite range and honestly wish I lived locally as I’d visit weekly!”

“Hands down my favourite pub to visit. The staff are always so welcoming and polite, especially Daniel! He always goes above and beyond to make sure you’re okay, is always happy to have a chat and makes you feel as though you’re part of the family. Honestly, if all pubs had a Daniel, they’d be one of the best! The pub is really clean, warm and inviting. Love the food here, and have never had any problems with anything I’ve ever ordered and it’s all super yummy and finished to a high standard any time. Can’t wait til my next adventure to the Greenhouse!”

“Me and my wife dropped in for a fry up, we had the light breakfast £12 each and a pot of tea between us. The staff were just lovely and very attentive, they made us feel very welcome and the breakfast was beautiful, especially the sausage (think it was from packington) probably one of the best I've had. We will endeavour to visit again. The decor inside was splendid, you could spend the whole day there.”

“It truly is the Home Of The Carvery, and Shenstone is lucky to have this particular restaurant on its doorstep. Why? Because the staff are so friendly, the food is so well cooked, and following the recent refurbishment the restaurant is warm, cosy and very welcoming. My little girl loves it here, and it’s a great way to get her eating healthily. Ellie and the rest of the crew always make us feel at home. Highly recommend, and it’s not expensive either. “My friend and I aways go out for a birthday burger at different places - he told me this place had the best chicken burger he’d ever had. It had a lot to live up to, and it’s always hard to enjoy something when you’ve been told its the best, because you’re no longer comparing it to just being nice… it now has to deliver. So tried to forget all that, ordered a MotherClucker, took my time - and by the fourth mouthful I was convinced. I’ve not had a better chicken burger anywhere else! Using the thigh meat keeps it juicy and is nicely balanced against the very crisp coating. It’s clearly all cooked fresh so a burger like this could take 15-20 minutes to assemble, but I’d wait every time! We’ll be back!”

“I recently visited with my sister in law and i must say it was a lovely visit. We had different dishes, and both were delicious and presented beautifully! Ample parking and located in a lovely area. Atmosphere was perfect and i want to give the waitresses a shout out too! - Michelle and Harriet were amazing and very attentive to everything we needed and were both super friendly and smiley. Highly reccomended - will be visiting here again for sure!”

“Tried this place for the first time. Ordered online and collected in the allotted time. We were very pleased with the quality of the food. It wasn't greasy and didn't get that horrible full up feeling afterwards. Tbh the crispy shredded chilli beef was the best we've ever had. Every piece was crispy and stayed crispy. Everthing was very tasty. Would definitely recommend. One thing I would say is the crispy duck could do with more spring onion and sauce as you get loads of pancakes and duck. The ratios seem a bit out.”
