ββοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ Fantastic Service from Harby I recently stayed at the Village Hotel in Dudley and received outstanding service from Harby. She was professional, friendly, and genuinely attentive throughout my visit. Her positive attitude and willingness to help made a real difference to my stay. Harby went above and beyond, and itβs clear she takes great pride in her work. Sheβs a real credit to the hotel, and her excellent service deserves recognition. Highly recommended β thank you, Harby!β
βFantastic daycare service we've been using for years. Please disregard the mentally impaired attack dog fanatics 1* Star reviews, Best Friend Doggy Day Care are correct to follow the insurance guidelines and not put other people's pets at risk. Wonderful service and people, couldn't recommend more.β
βThe hotel (1.9.22) was absolutely fine but the 5 stars relates to the two staff having to deal with the reception, bar and restaurant in the evening. They were short of drink at the bar and food in the restaurant but the staff couldnβt be more helpful, offering a free dinner due to a wait. Well doneβ
βStayed here for a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the stay, the reception staff were fantastic especially Lauren, she was next level when dealing with a complication when we tried to book in. I would definitely recommend and we will come back.β
βif not to be fussy over slightly outdated building like windows and other minor things. i found this place very clean and convenient. i drove so free parking and good location was great. good breakfast, excellent coffee, friendly staff, clean laundry and rooms. great value for the price considering surrounding offersβ
βWe are a big family and didnβt want to have room cars apart so they ensured we had interconnecting rooms, upon arriving at the hotel the receptionist jack was lovely he made conversation straight away and made us feel so welcome, he went above and beyond with things we needed help with such as the cot he never made it feel like any thing was a problem! The rooms were very clean and big. And our children were happy they could see the animals from the window. Staff and other guests were lovely at the bar too. You will be seeing us again very soonβ
βCame for a salsa night and regularly stay here in JQ. Booked the mixed but since it was all men, I asked to move and they were happy to accommodate me. All female dorm peaceful and beds very comfy with charging point and lights in every space. Thank you!β
βExcellent food in the venue. Nice pub too - clean and friendly / respectable atmosphere. Will come again, especially for the food! Good selection of beers. Very impressive history with pictures of car racing in black and white outside the pub!β
βI stayed here twice for work. I must say it was an amazing experience. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. Excellent place to stay if you are away from home on a business trip.β
βGood staff and good breakfast Excellent location and even a better service by the staff. VINEETH and his colleague on reception were excellent. Also the BREAKFAST was really good. The rooms are a bit old here, especially the bath tub. We found hair lying in the bath not cleaned and also wrappers on the room floor. But the best part is when we contacted the reception to inform about this an immediate action was taken and we were given a room change with a free upgrade. I think the 5 stars in the review is for the hospitality by the receptionist which made the stay comfortable and relaxing.β
βThereβs much to be said about this stay, but I will try and keep it short. This is not the first time weβre staying here, and itβs become our preferred hotel, when we visit annually, all the way from Wales. Itβs warm, nicely decorated and comfortable. Today however, the reception greeting was quite icy. We were 1/2 hour early for check-in, and the reception lady refused to consider early check in to avoid the crowds creating a bottleneck at 14:00. Thereβs something to be said about efficiency in process execution. If you allow early check in even if the room is still being prepared, keep the access card aside for collection at the appropriate time, avoiding queues and bottlenecks - basic Lean Six Sigma principles, leaving staff less stressed as well. On the other hand, what fabulous service from the catering staff, Joel and Ina!! I got what I ordered, a tasty steak and chips with mushroom sauce to die for, cooked to perfection! I was absolutely satisfied when I took my last bite, enjoying every mouth full. Ina even offered a steak knife without having to be asked, now thatβs proactive thinking, much appreciated! And thanks to Joel for prepping the food, it was like tasting food from home, making me nostalgic. You guys make a mean team, thank you once again for excellent customer service xxβ
βWhen I arrived last Sunday to stay just one night I was tired and just looking for a meal and a sleep. Catarina and a young black woman whose name I didn't get were on the desk and I was checked in quickly and efficiently. The room was very clean and the only thing that worried me somewhat was an adjoining door between my room and my neighbours. When I returned from my dinner the guests next door had also arrived and the noise they were causing was intolerable. Expecting a battle with reception and fully prepared to check out and move hotel I spoke to Catarina. Within seconds she moved me to another floor and a much better room. I was so grateful! There was no expectation that I had to justify my request and no unnecessary attempt to suggest I was being unreasonable. It just got sorted. I slept well and in the morning had the breakfast which was very nice. Our host was Raja(u?) - a really cheerful friendly guy especially at 7am! The three main staff members I met and interacted with are a credit to your hotel. I hope that you recognise this.β
βHad my 21st birthday on their hall. Best hall ever had! Staff was very friendly and active. Lights in the hall were amazing and their table preparations were amazing! All the guests were amazed from the richness that the hall was giving out. Planning to book the hall again for future events! Toilets are clean and pretty too, disco lights were perfect, thereβs a bar to the hall which made easy for guests to get any drinks. Beautiful! Would Recommend it to anyone!β
βIt was a lovely place to stay at. The room was very well priced & the room was actually a very good sized room. It could have done with a little more update to be honest but I didnβt complain. The sofa bed needed a little cleaning on the top. Parking for Β£4 was fine overnight, it was safe, secure and convenient. The free breakfast was brilliant. A huge variety of foods to choose from, cereals, beans on toast, eggs, croissants, fruits, even vegetarian sausage on request! Plenty of coffee, water & apple juice. Overall great stay & staff didnβt need to do much at all. Easy to find on the main road just keep a look out on left ! I would highly recommend.β
βI first went to this hotel to use its leisure facilities, as I'm due to invest in a membership. I was greeted by Chris, who was so helpful, as were all of the other members. This place is a little oasis of lovely people, decent facilities, and a really welcoming feeling. The gym is well equipped, clean and well maintained, the pool is a perfect temperature, as are the steam and sauna. The staff, Chris, Gareth and Lisa, are a credit to this establishment. Then on the 5.10.2025, I decided to book a room for my Sons Birthday sleepover, on arrival, I was warmly welcomed by Kadrija, at reception, this wonderful lady, made the whole check in process, so straightforward. This was my first time using this hotel for an overnight stay. When I informed Kadrija, that it was my Sons Birthday, this lady went above and beyond to assist and ensure we had a fantastic stay. I booked my Son and his guests, a three course evening meal, the selection as well as the quality of food and ingredients, were impressive. The hotel suite was clean, spacious and it really did exceed our expectations, the bed, wow, I mean, it was like sleeping in the clouds. At breakfast, the server Ellesse, was soo attentive. I would highly recommend this beautiful establishment, the staff, really were what made our stay soo pleasurable.β
βWe had our Christmas party here and it was without a doubt the best that we have experienced. The food was exceptional and plentiful. There was no waiting between courses. I would highy recommend the Beef and the cheesecake !! The staff were friendly and the music was great.β
βStayed while away fishing, using points I'd accrued through the IHG loyalty program. They've stopped giving points (or forgot) for the free night stays and also stopped the free drinks voucher at this hotel. A money saving venture no doubt. However, room fine and bed comfy. Clean sheets and bathroom. No complaints. Good breakfast in the morning (free!!) with everything you may want or need. Handy place and shall use again no doubt.β
βWent on a christmas work do on Friday 28th. Paid just under Β£60 pp.. absolute bargain. Nice 3 course meal, drink on table plentiful.and free bar. Branded drinks too ...gordons pink Gin.. waitressing staff and bar staff very good and friendly.. had brilliant night. DJ wasnt the best he catered more for the younger audience despite being asked for 70s and motownβ
βCathy cared for my two bunnies who are house rabbits, so used to having a lot of space. I need not have worried though, as their room inside was a good size, with chairs, a pet bed and plenty of space for them to hop around. Cathy kept me updated via whatsapp with messages and photos/videos of the boys. I have already booked for our next holiday.β
βGreat apartments in a great central location. Free parking comes with them. The directions to the apartment and parking could do with having more clarity.β
βBrad at The village Bar and Grill was friendly and gave us a great lunch recommendation. The chicken wrap with salad and chips was tasty and good value. Highly recommend for food and drinks if you're nearby.β
βIt was very pleasant to live here for 5 months. Thank you for being.β
βWe stayed at the Travelodge over Christmas whilst visiting family in Boldmere. We were two adults and a toddler in a family room. Not expecting too much but beds and our own space, we were very pleasantly surprised. The family room was incredibly clean (wish I could hoover that well!), at the end of a corridor so quiet and beds were very comfortable. The single beds for children were a good height for my toddler. We checked in on Christmas Day and had a really warm welcome and the staff were eager to help throughout our stay. Really impressed and has seriously made us consider other Travelodges for other UK breaks.β
βGreat location, great personnel, good breakkfast buffet, great prices! Will book again.β
βI seem to stay here on a regular basis due to business. Always friendly helpful staff & the rooms are generally clean & tidy. Recommend unless your looking for something like the Hilton, then this place is not for you.β
βTwo visits, both warmly received β each offering a fresh and slightly different vibe. A place to break cycles, soften thought patterns, and share space with pleasant strangers β some keeping to themselves, others exchanging a light word while preparing breakfast or lending a hand. Both experiences were positive, each in its own tone. I would return if needed, and I recommend it to others. The organisation is thoughtful, with labelled personal kitchen items (though not essential in my case, labels are provided at the reception). Guidance is clear: breakfast served 07:00β11:00 (as of 27/08/25, subject to change). Overall β relaxed, peaceful, and well-held.β
βVery friendly staff and terrific food at a great price. Prepared fresh to order also! We have eaten breakfast here (fantastic bacon butties) and Sunday lunch.β
βAn Exceptional Venue for the My Name Is Climate Film Festival 2025: As organizers of the My Name Is Climate Film Festival 2025, we had the distinct pleasure of hosting our two-day event at The Plough & Harrow Hotel, and we couldn't be more delighted with the experience. From the moment we began planning, the staff and owner were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and genuinely supportive, making the entire process seamless and stress-free. Their warmth and professionalism created an atmosphere that was not just welcoming, but truly felt like a collaborative partnership. The hotel itself offers a wonderful mix of art and culture, providing the perfect backdrop for our film festival. The ambiance was ideal for both our screenings and the engaging discussions and networking sessions that followed. It truly enhanced the overall experience for our filmmakers, partners, and attendees alike. Our visitors, who came from all parts of the UK and Europe, loved every aspect of the venue and couldn't stop taking pictures around! We are thoroughly impressed with every aspect of our time at The Plough & Harrow Hotel. We wholeheartedly recommend it as an outstanding venue for events, and we very much look forward to hosting our future events here. Thank you to the entire team at The Plough & Harrow Hotel for helping us make the My Name Is Climate Film Festival 2025 a resounding success!β
