βLively place. Lots of screens, friendly locals and great beer at good priceβ
βPopped in tonight for a few pints. Bar staff were lovely. The gentleman (Stephen) behind the bar poured me a great Guinness 0.0. And the lady (India) was gorgeous and so friendly. Will definitely pop back to see them both.β
βLovely old pub in the heart of Portslade village. Good prices, lovely service. I went alone but chatted by the bar with a couple of people. Relaxing atmosphere during the day.β
βGood studdnts union bar. Very good prices, staff are great and made to fell very welcome even though clearly not a student. Great place to go b4 a brightin gameβ
βBeautiful place . The owner was more than happy to chat with us . Service was excellent wine was very nice and dogs where aloud as wellβ
βVery welcoming pub which is extremely well managed. Bar staff extremely nice and very helpful ( brought our drinks over on a tray). A friendly atmosphere. Perfect place for catching up with family & friends.β
βI've just moved into the area and this is my local pub. Lots going on, clean and tidy. It's clear the owners/management are working really hard to maintain a proper community pub and it would be great to see it busier.β
βVery friendly and polite staff. Nice atmosphere.β
βA good old fashioned pub, where you don't feel pressurised to buy a meal to have a pint or two. In fact they don't even serve food. Friendly local pub.β
βThe best Sunday roast I've had in ages. The lamb shank fell of the bone, there was no fat or gristle. The potatoes crispy and plenty of veg on the plate. We each had a large gravy boat full of delicious gravy. Also we had a large dish of cauliflower cheese to share. The staff were very polite and friendly. I would definitely go back again.β
βPerfect stay in a beautiful location (with lots of deer roaming around). Very comfortable beds, everything very clean and the food was amazing. Huge shoutout to Teddy, Jade, Katie, Cody, Ann, Fergus and Anton (hopefully we havenβt missed anyone!) because every member of staff was exceptionally kind and welcoming - thank you!β
βExcellent roast dinner. One of the best I have had. Sticky toffee pudding was 10/10 too. Old transitional pub decor with a real fire. Enjoyed my afternoon hereβ
βWe were welcomed by the staff warmly, shown to a table and our drinks arrived promptly. The food was very good and very well presented. Two had the steak pie, delicious, two friends had the Bok Burger which looked fab and tasted great too! Our other friend had Thyme chicken breast, tender and tasty. We will definitely be back for more! Thank you all at The Barley Mowβ
βWe had a lovely experience from start to finish. We called to see if they had food and the lady on the phone was so nice and accommodating and chose a lovely table for us. The smoked chicken Sunday roast was amazing. Something we've never had before! And we had the pancakes for dessert, one word: WOW! Best dessert ever. The chef obviously put a lot of love into that. I'm sure we'll be back if we're in the area. Thanks to all the staff for being so kind on a Sunday evening.β
βWe had an exceptionally amazing experience here! Making this by far our favorite Indian meal we have been for, I'd say ever! Everything was amazing. We would highly recommend to ANYONE, especially as they offer a high value Wednesday and Sunday deal if your looking for a reasonably priced night out !β
βCelebrated my daughters birthday , atmosphere was great , food delicious Jack was brilliant as our waiter , had a very joyful birthday song . Music was great a variation of country and Christmas. First visit , will definitely return in the future . Great eveningβ
βWe absolutely love this place! The food is always delicious, and the service is fantastic. Kelly goes above and beyond to make every customer happy β sheβs a star. The only downside is the drinks selection β itβs a bit disappointing that they donβt serve fresh orange juice. For a lovely spot thatβs perfect for Sunday brunch, youβd expect fresh juice rather than canned or bottled. Other than that, itβs a great place overall!β
βLovely people, been here a couple times with different groups of people and itβs always great food. Only gone for the buffet option so far but itβs well worth its money. Went on my birthday twice now and the staff had a good laugh with us.β
βA little gem of a bar in Kingβs cross. Perfect for a glass after work. Fab Spanish wines to choose from and they even have Pincho Happy Hour! Get a free pincho with every glass of wine between 5-6 pm. I love the gildas. Arthur & Domnal behind the bar are knowledgeable and fabulous! Great service :)β
βGood place to watch a game and have a drink. The food was good too, got ourselves some wings and fries.β
βExcellent pub and the best in Hove by a long way. The selection and quality of real ales is outstanding. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and relaxed. The sports screens are a huge plus for a rugby/cricket fan like myself. I've only eaten at the Blind Busker twice in the three years that I've been going there so I can't really comment on the food. A very clean establishment with good decor. Amy and her team are spot on with their hospitality...and they always remind me about my real ale loyalty card (buy 6 & get a 7th free). If you are nearby on the day then give this pub a visit, I'd be surprised if you were disappointed .β
βA fabulous Sunday lunch at The Freemasons yesterday. All dietary requirements were catered for. The crumble and ice cream that followed were delectable. A huge thank you to everyone involvedβ
βI visited this restaurant with some dear friends from Church. The restaurant was clean, warm and brightly lit for the winter festive season. The staff on the bar served us our drinks and also brought our food. They did so quickly and the food itself was tasty and hot. I had an enjoyable time talking and eating in the Harvester. My gratitude to the waitresses and cooks who served us with hospitality, diligence and grace.β
βReliable family pub who always keep the prices reasonable. They were also so brilliant during covid with the outdoor spaces.β
βThe pub quiz was amazing and the girls behind the bar were brilliant!!! Victoria, Meg and Bella were the best and made our night. We had a big group and they were super patient and kind. Service overall was amazing. Will come back for the next pub quiz!β
βLovely little pub positioned at the top end of Rottingdean. The decor is great and has a comfortable feeling about it. It also has a lovely pub garden. Great food menu choices. There is also a great selection of beers and wine. I can personally recommend the Sunday roast it was excellent. Service was excellent and attentive. Highly recommended.β
βAbsolutely fab cafe. Step free access and helpful staff. You can sit outside in nice weather or there's plenty of room indoors when it's not.β
βTurned up on a rainy Saturday afternoon, Leah the manager squeezed us in despite it being full. We had just over a 1 hour wait but she was always updating us. Food and service was great. (Hunters chicken & steak and ale pie). Yeah offered us a complimentary dessert due to the lengthy wait and we were extremely happy with everything. This is a very popular pub and I can see why. We'll be back (with a reservation)β
βReally good selection of beers on tap. We had the Lunch meal was really nice, some of the nicest Thai food I've ever had! The Pad Kra Prao was very authentic. Only Β£13.50 for starter and main for lunch is hard to find in brighton, especially for something of such great value! Overall a really lovely experience with friendly staff, will definitely be returning.β
βDefinitely a go to. A nice atmosphere and well decorated making it feel homely. Staff are brilliant and have a cracking sense of humour a great place to have a drink and a laugh. Karaoke on a Saturday which is great always a fun night! Quiz on a Sunday a great way to end the week. Will always return βΊοΈβ
