βIt's a great place, sorry to the staff for bringing in a drunk friend but they are amazing, they can deal with drunk people amazingly and when you're not a drunk idiot they can hold a good conversation! Sorry if in as a mix, I hope the staff have a lovely night!β
βPopped in for dinner as a treat after a busy day. Food was really lovely - probably the nicest Wimpy Iβve had - and the staff were super nice and friendly (I had the OG quarter pounder meal followed by a Wimpy Whirl). Thank you so much!β
βReally well ran pub , very patient landlady, told at least 1 person every five minutes you can't take your glasses out the front and didn't murder any of themβ
βAn amazing venue to host my sonβs birthday. Staff were brilliant and kind and the manager was helpful kind and lovely . Thank to all the staff . Good time was had by all.β
βThis is our daughter and son-in-law local pub...we were visiting from the Isle of Wight and popped in here for a drink and a bit of lunch...food was amazing..I had salmon New potatoes and fresh vegetables and it was cooked perfect.. my daughter and son-in-law had burgers which were also very well presented and delicious...my husband had scampi and chips which again was delicious... Drinks are good prices and a lovely spacious garden with ample seating . Plenty of parking available. The icing on the cake was the landlord greeting you personally when you walk in .. highly recommend..lovely friendly pub and fantastic food β€οΈβ€οΈβ
βWe were walking past this building and at first i thought it was an old casino because of the gaming machines. But when we wandered in, we were surprised and in awe at how beautifully restored this old opera house is. Take a closer look around, especially the upper level booths. It is very pretty. Better yet the drinks are cheap!!!!! Lots of older folks here drinking so you know this is the place to get a cold one. They had an enormous menu of EVERYTHING. Apologies I forgot to get pics of the menu but it was impressive. We only had a couple drinks here and we were enjoying the people watching. According to signage you can book reservations for dinner for two people max in one of the opera booths. Awesome.β

βGreat trendy local Italian restaurant. Authentic fresh Italian ingredients and very reasonable prices. Good selection of drinks including cocktails and craft beer. The pasta is made at the premises and both the pasta dishes we had were excellent, fresh and well balanced in terms of flavour. We will certainly come again to try the pizza which looked amazing. The service by what seems to be a mainly Italian team was very friendly. Highly recommended.β
βIβve been to The Grenadier Pub a few times now, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the food is pretty good value for money β generous portions, tasty, and fairly priced. The staff really make the difference here. Kiera always greets you with a big smile and delivers excellent customer service β friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Hallam is also a pleasure to deal with β always polite, professional, and helpful, adding to the great experience. Itβs the kind of place where you feel looked after and appreciated as a customer. Highly recommend if you're looking for a chilled spot with good food and great service. Iβll definitely be back!β
βWe thoroughly enjoyed our time at Rockwater Bar and Grill. The food was amazing all the service staff were friendly and tended to our every need. I made a request to make my wifeβs birthday extra special and they went above and beyond. I live 250 miles away but be sure the next time Iβm in Brighton Iβll be back!! Rock on Rockwater!!β
βWent for a spare of the moment lunch with with my two children today, they had a great choice of food and the childrens menu was also devent quality food too. Another huge plus was that didnt break the bank either. My son has a PEG which he feeds through if he doesnt eat orally, I realised I had forgotten my portable blender, asked the pub on the off chance if they could blend up his meal and they did without any hesitation. They even offered to package up the left overs. Lovely little garden, lots of seating also available inside too where it was nice and cool. They also have a little toy/kids corner which kept the kids entertained before eating. Will definitely be eating there again! Thank you so much for being accommodating to my sons needs.β
βKateryna was very good, she was welcoming and very positive which makes a big difference in the overall energy of the restaurant. The food was really good, pork ribs was the best, salad bar was also clean. The place is clean and newly refurbished. Definitely the best harvester iβve had out of all branches.β
βI stayed at this lovely hotel in November 2025. The service was fantastic, rooms a delight and great location. Unfortunately I had a medical issue during my stay, staff & management went to so much effort to help me and were so helpful. I would definitely stay here again, thank you Legends Davidβ
βVisited on Sunday 14th December 2025 at around 5.30pm and ended up waiting about 40 minutes for the drinks to be served and then a further 1hour for our food to come, the steak was not very hot and very chewy. The place was not very busy and the staff were struggling to cope the 2 waitresses Maxie and Mia were the only saving grace and tried their best to appease the situation. The resturant needs more staff both in the kitchen and in the resturantβ
βI recently tried the new starter menu at Stonehouse and was so impressed! The chicken goujons were perfectly cooked β lovely and tender, soft inside and not dry at all. The Camembert fondue was creamy and indulgent, paired beautifully with the toasted garlic bread (a match made in heaven!). The harissa prawns were another highlight β packed full of flavour with just the right hint of spice without being overpowering. Everything was well presented and tasted fresh. A fantastic new addition to the menu β Iβll definitely be ordering these again!β
βVery tasty Sunday roast! Well decorated pub, clean with views to the sea. Good portions, well cooked and plenty of veggies. Amazing cauliflower/broccoli cheese. Good drink selection (and non alcoholic drinks available too). Quite busy on Sunday so better to book it to ensure a place. Service is 10 out of 10.β
βBest beer Garden in Brighton!! - The Hobgoblin is a staple of Brighton life. It's a fantastic pub that's been around for so many years it feels like it's a part of Brighton's heritage. The Beer Garden at the back of the pub is exceptional, extremely Large, fully covered (for those raining drinking sessions) and, in my humble opinion, very well laid out. The staff are always friendly and professional and the pub always partakes in festivities and seasonal events. Drinks prices are average and they often have live music. It's a cornerstone of pub culture and I cannot fault them on anything. Their food is awesome too. well-priced and good quality. If you are visiting Brighton, make time to have a pint at the Hobgoblin. You won't be dissapointed :)β
βI had a brilliant stay at The Downs Hotel in Brighton! Free car parking was a big plus, and the complimentary breakfast was a lovely touch. I was running late for check-in, but Georgie and Rosie were incredibly kind and understanding β they waited for us, welcomed us warmly, and even showed us to our room. The room itself was spacious, spotless, and beautifully presented (Iβm really fussy about cleanliness, and it exceeded my expectations!). In the morning, Gemma looked after us at breakfast β she was so friendly, polite, and always smiling, which made the experience even better. The food was great, the service was genuine, and the whole atmosphere was really welcoming. Overall, I couldnβt have asked for a better stay β great value, great people, and a great experience. Iβll definitely be coming back in the future!β
βSaw a footy match here with some friends. Close to the train station and big screens for the sport. Nice beer too.β
βThank you so much to Sadie and the rest of the team for coordinating our booking. Having somebody to help with organising our party took a lot of the pressure off of planning and we had a fabulous time. I especially loved the interactive darts and the wines. We had a big booking and were very well looked after from start to finish, and I really appreciated the check-ins on what we needed leading up to the event. Thanks team- we will definitely be back again!β
βThe oldest gay bar in Brighton. Mainly men 40+ Busiest on Sat eve's. Friendly bar staff. Doesn't serve food.β
βWe were pleasantly surprised by the service, the accommodating decisions made by the managers, and the attentive care from our server, Jasmine, during our Christmas get-together last night. Even though we had a few last-minute cancellations, the team kindly compensated us with extra time in the private area, along with complimentary shots and food. After our meal, they reserved a table for us in the live lounge where we enjoyed a great DJ set. As expected in a lively venue, a few glasses and bottles were broken, but the staff were quick and attentive in cleaning everything up. The bouncers communicated well with the servers, which helped keep the night running smoothly. Overall, a great experienceβwould definitely recommend to others.β
βGreat buzzy pub in central Brighton. Catch the bus in. No parking nearby. Nice on street outdoor area.β
βYummy lunch, fun buzzz and great view over the English Channel. Best of All , you can take your Pooch ! And great for Sunset Drinks....amazing location.β
βHad an amazing time here. We arrived earlier than our booking to make use of the little arcade area which the kids loved and then we're shown to our lane early. Simple and easy. Fairly priced drinks and got a good family deal for 2 adults and 2 kids bowling. Baby changing facilities were spacious and very clean.β
βVery enjoyable experience, food & drinks was lovely with the view and water adding a beautiful dynamic to the old school vibe of the building. Definitely recommend a visit!β
βTasty food, great service and cosy interior. Would definitely visit again. (Toilets need refurbishment but the rest of the pub looks great.)β
βI hadn't been to the Swiss Cottage in years and was pleasantly surprised. It has a large car park which was a great bonus for me. The food was very good, hot and cooked to order. There were a lot of choices and many special offers. They also had so many gluten free options. My friend said her meal was good and tasty. The staff were very attentive and there was a lovely warm atmosphere about the place. I will definitely be returning especially for the Fizz Fridays offersβ
βOur waitress Debbie was absolutely perfect. She was friendly, professional, and genuinely caring throughout our visit. She asked about allergies, checked that our meals were okay, and made sure we had everything we needed. When my 85-year-old mother felt cold by the window, Debbie kindly moved us to a warmer spot. She finished by saying it was lovely to see us and wished us well as we left. The food was fine and the drinks were served quickly, but it was Debbieβs warmth and attention to detail that really stood out.β
βAlways a great place to spend time and dine with friends/family. Very spacious seating areas, always friendly and attentive staff. Plenty of parking. The food is excellent and we will be returning again. As of writing this review the inaugural Oktoberfest menu has started and I couldn't be happier !β
