“Visited for my birthday with a few friends from a hiking group. The setting is fantastic, it's a castle! The staff were lovely and kind enough to give us a tour including the dungeon pit and throne room. Nearby are plenty of walks, puzzlewood is only a short drive and truly mystical. The George inn had live music both nights and real good food. Planning another trip here in the future for sure! Thank you.”

“A characterful manor and stunning gardens in Italianate style and stunning setting. Lunch in the smart indoor/outdoor restaurant was delightful, presented and served most professionally. We did not sample the equally smart café but it looked first-class. All this made for a great visit and birthday lunch, all for a modest entrance fee.”

“Lovely gardens behind the Holbourne museum. A play area for children and walks along with benches for you to sit and read or relax and pass the time on a sunny afternoon. Gardens are well maintained and beautifully presented.”

“Went to priors woods with a public transport where we got off at station road on the bus. It took us about 15 minutes to the starting point of the woods. Initially you can still hear the traffic but as you go in further you will be in the wonderland of blue bells! We went there when it was rainy so definitely needs a hiking shoes that are rain proof. The blue bells were absolutely beautiful!!! Highly recommend to see them :) Some of the paths are less labelled so having more signs could be helpful. There was a big tree that seemed to have felled recently on the road so we could not have done the whole path but other than this great walk :)! Highly recommend :)”

“We came for a visit, to find a respite or maybe permanent stay for Mum. We were made very welcome and were impressed by all the facilities and activities that are available. The atmosphere was friendly and we witnessed lovely interactions between staff and residents. Promoting independence was also obvious in the breakfast area ( self serve cereals if the residents wish to do so). Very clean and tidy and the bistro is a lovely area to sit and have a drink.”

“Loved Wookey hole. Stayed at the lodges by the hotel, which were nice. The caves were great to go down into and the guide was informative. When you go back outside, there's a dinosaur wilderness which is good for little kids. We did the 4D cinema which was entertaining. If the weather hadn't been so bad, we would have done the crazy golf. But saying that, the weather added to the atmosphere, so didn't dampen out spirits. Highly recommend.”

“Slovenia with our own tour guide who was considerate and pleasant, and took us to such beautiful and interesting places. We could avoid the crowds and still enjoy the honey pots. Lovely roads through picturesque countryside with forests and flowering meadows, castles and caves. We loved Slovenia.”

“This was the 7th time our club has used Burleigh Travel which has included an Under 16s tour. I think it says it all when we keep coming back. Everything was as smooth and well organised on our 2019 tour to Spain. David Peachey had everything sorted to a tee and nothing was too much trouble when we needed a few late name changes due to dropouts. First class service from a first class operator and I know a bit about touring as I have organised quite a few myself.”

I’ve been blown away by how lovely the apartment is and how helpful all of the management are. Everyone is very friendly and reliable and the location is ideal. The social events are also brilliant.”

“Myself and some friends are planning a trip to Carrefour Européen du Patchwork in Alsace in Sept 2024. We contacted ECT Travel who specialise in group tours, and I cannot speak highly enough of them. Nothing has been too much trouble for them - even when Ryanair cancelled the original flight we were scheduled to travel on, ECT reorganised and rearranged our package overnight, with no fuss and at minimal additional cost to us. Our contact there is Emily and she has gone above and beyond to look after us, and is always helpful, responsive and patient. All we have to do now is sit back and enjoy our trip.”

“I cannot recommend Jayne highly enough! We have decided to go to Cyprus for our summer holiday and she was very patient with us, accommodating and professional. She has found us the best deal there was possible, even though we have had a lot of criteria's to take into consideration. :) Unfortunately due to current pandemic, this dream holiday had to be cancelled.
