“Not being able to find a trip going from Hereford we went with Grindles to the West Country. We just want to say thankyou to Grindles for a very smooth and comfortable trip to Bridgwater Carnival on Saturday 4th November 2023. The journey took us through the Forest of Dean with all the changing colours on the trees. We were cosy, warm and comfortable and our driver was very steady on the roads, with a sense of humour and very attentive. We had very good service from start to finish.”

“Kids Zone Disco were absolutely brilliant! Noel is very lovely and accommodating! He did our Toddlefest kid's festival and was a huge hit! So personal, learning all the kid's names, played lovely games and got them all involved, everyone loved it! We would 100% have him back to our festival and would absolutely recommend him!”

“My first day trip with Steve, Val and Sherina. Having recently lost my husband I feel like I've been welcomed into a family. We went to Leonardsea Gardens, the Azaleas and Rhododendrons were out in full glory, perfect time to go and see it at its best, Steve's excellent organisational timing. Steve drove us professionally and safely, informing us of all sorts on the way, and stopping off on the way and way back for a comfort break. Val was very attentive offering refreshments to everyone. I've recently booked a Cruise with Lourella and Sherina, they have been very helpful and full of invaluable and honest information. I highly recommend these lovely people if you're looking to travel.”

“I wish I had known of Arctic Direct several years ago, as I would have saved money ! I have recently returned from a five day trip to The Swedish Ice Hotel. This was an experience for my grandson. Arctic Direct were first class with their pre departure information, and updates as things changed. They were most accommodating at the planning stage when I needed slight adjustments made to the activities which were included in the package. The staff were extremely helpful and understanding. We travelled at the end of the season when there were many fewer guests, so we enjoyed exclusive trips each time we went on an activity. My grandson even got invited to stand and drive the huskies with our guide who was a competition racer. We were also able to add to our programme on arrival as there was plenty of availability. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Arctic Direct based on my experience of travelling with them. Five stars !”

“We came for a visit, to find a respite or maybe permanent stay for Mum. We were made very welcome and were impressed by all the facilities and activities that are available. The atmosphere was friendly and we witnessed lovely interactions between staff and residents. Promoting independence was also obvious in the breakfast area ( self serve cereals if the residents wish to do so). Very clean and tidy and the bistro is a lovely area to sit and have a drink.”

“Loved Wookey hole. Stayed at the lodges by the hotel, which were nice. The caves were great to go down into and the guide was informative. When you go back outside, there's a dinosaur wilderness which is good for little kids. We did the 4D cinema which was entertaining. If the weather hadn't been so bad, we would have done the crazy golf. But saying that, the weather added to the atmosphere, so didn't dampen out spirits. Highly recommend.”

“Slovenia with our own tour guide who was considerate and pleasant, and took us to such beautiful and interesting places. We could avoid the crowds and still enjoy the honey pots. Lovely roads through picturesque countryside with forests and flowering meadows, castles and caves. We loved Slovenia.”

“Such a fun hen do experience! There were 13 of us on the boat, with our chosen songs playing on the stereo system, and we were singing out hearts out on the microphone! The captain and skipper were great fun and they let the bride drive the boat - a hilarious and really fun hen do activity!”

“Message: Hi, i would like to past on my thank you to paul the amazing driver we had for are trip to the Bournemouth air show on Thursday with the waiblingen way community garden, he went above & beyond what was expected from a driver, he made us fill safe and had some amazing laughs on the way, me and my grandma have been going on chandlers coach for maybe 30 years? And we have never meet such a wonderful man, after the trip ended i did go and see him, to tell him how amazing he was, but I wanted to tell you all back at base how wonderful he is, he is a credit to you company, Many thanks”

Ignore the negative reviews who expect a floating hotel, if you like canal holidays and you are looking to hire a boat, look no further than ABC.”

“This was the 7th time our club has used Burleigh Travel which has included an Under 16s tour. I think it says it all when we keep coming back. Everything was as smooth and well organised on our 2019 tour to Spain. David Peachey had everything sorted to a tee and nothing was too much trouble when we needed a few late name changes due to dropouts. First class service from a first class operator and I know a bit about touring as I have organised quite a few myself.”

“One rarely has a tour experience this satisfying. Jon is extremely knowledgeable about the area, easy, accommodating, interesting and fun. He immediately picked up on our particular interests, and tailored our day with him to reflect them and to move at our pace. His van is very comfortable, we covered a lot of ground (which we wanted), saw everything of interest, got all our questions answered, and had a fabulous, fun day. Our experience with Jon was top notch in every respect, and we now feel as if we’ve really seen the Cotswolds in all its glory.”
