βWe find the hotel very good. A few minor things stopped us giving 10/10 in all categories. 15 mins easy walk from Temple Meads station. We didn't eat there this time however we have in the past and the food was excellent. The reception staff are very helpful and there is a nice relaxing atmosphere in the bar. Overall very good. Will stay again no doubt!β
βThis place is always impressive. You can tell they enjoy making food and serving it. Salad and pastas were really good. Pizza was cooked perfectly and my son really enjoyed his burger and desert. Small little place hidden away in depths of Horfield. Worth a visit.β
βWe booked a meal here and splashed out on the steak. Well it was our minimoon. For dessert a chocolate bomb each which was fantastic along with equally as good cocktails. Lovely staff, good surroundings and great atmosphere. Definitely go again when I'm in Bristol.β
βAbsolutely stunning meal! Helpful staff who were happy to offer suggestions and discuss what we liked in order to secure we were happy with our choice. Canβt get over how delicious the food was, we had a vegetable Bhuna and a Veggie KoftaβοΈβ
βNice vegan place with a split inside, some shelfβs for vegan snacks and the other sitting for eating food in, has some hard to find vegan snacks, staff members were friendly and food was good.β
βBart was an amazing server. He was very knowledgeable and efficient. The food was tasty flavored well and tender. I got the cod plate with kabocha and potatoβs. Also the mini dessert drink was a perfect ending to our meal. If you visit this place you must try the salted Carmel profiteroles. We will be back!!! Thank you for a lovely evening.β
βThe way food should be!! Just such an amazing lunch on our second and equally amazing visit. The menu was varied and interesting and really shows what plant based cuisine can be. The sourdough ice cream was interesting, not my personal preference, but really enjoyed getting to try it. Thanks all Also the bread is the best around!!β
βHad an amazing lunch here today. After smelling delicious food half way down the road I decided to stop in and give it a try. The food was amazing and worth every penny. The waiters display passion and dedication which I really appreciated. Sitting near the bar and watching the bartender carefully make and serve drinks was a delight. I highly suggest attending this warm and welcoming restaurant!β
βReally authentic Thai spot in Bath with friendly service & a great atmosphere. Food was of great quality and mains were large portions! Definitely recommend: - roast duck with egg fried rice - Thai papaya salad - curries with riceβ
βLovely Afternoon Tea Experience in the Heart of Bath We visited this location for Afternoon Tea and had a really beautiful experience. We arrived around 2:30 PM and were lucky to catch a live piano concert, which added an elegant touch to the atmosphere. The standard Afternoon Tea menu was around Β£100 for two people, which felt fair considering the amount of food included. There is plenty to eat β definitely more sweet than savoury β but everything was fresh and nicely presented. The service was very kind and attentive, and the interior is absolutely charming. One of the highlights is the back rooms, where the walls display the history of the place and its connection to the Roman Baths. Itβs actually linked to the Pump Room, and if you choose to visit the Pump Room and then the Roman Baths afterwards, you can skip the main queue, which is a great bonus. Overall, if youβre visiting Bath and want a traditional Afternoon Tea in a beautiful and historic setting, I definitely recommend this place.β
βWe loved this place, food was great, cocktails were perfect, and staff were super friendly and attentive, especially our server Bella. Restaurant had a really good atmosphere and great decor. Highly recommend and we will be back!β
βBest night and food Iβve had in a while, great atmosphere, and absolutely bustling with people. Our server Shabs (I think) was hilarious, had some great fun with the kids. Overall, an 11/10 restaurant, would definitely recommend!β
βWe walked in as a table of six without a booking and they were so lovely and was able to seat us. We got served quickly, our food arrived hot and quick! And we were checked on often and kept topped up with drinks. The food itself was spectacular, the best Italian we as a collective had had. 100% recommend itβs such a chill and cozy place, canβt wait to come back!β
βAmazing food! Highly recommend the Chicken Shashlik.β
βOne of the best hidden gems on a budget in Bristol. The food is healthy and delicious, and I keep coming back for more. Definitely a really great choice for a lunch in the city centre with a friend.β
βWhat a wonderful place. Amazing atmosphere. We enjoyed Jazz on a Sunday afternoon followed by live music in a cosy room with a stage. Would regularly visit if we lived closer.β
βVisited for the first time as was recommended by family and it was amazing The starters were great value with plenty of choice. Silly me forgot to take a picture of them before stuffing as smelt and looked so good. Main courses came out and were so big value for money great flavours in the lasagne the seafood lingie what can I say the flavours were out of this world very big prawns. Defently be paying another visit there and would recommend as service was great and value for money. Thank youβ
βHave been several times over the past few years and it has always been great. It's under new management now, which means that the recipe for one of the veg combo dishes has slightly changed, but it tasted very good. We ordered the large veg combo meant for 3-4 people for the 4 of us and were very full at the end. We did ask for more injera as we were running out. Paid Β£46 total for 4 people, you don't see that anywhere else nowadays!β
βI enjoyed a meal alone while working away in Bristol. Itβs clear to see why they have such wonderful reviews; when they serve incredible quality ingredients prepared expertly to create a delicious dish. The menu is concise and seasonal, featuring a selection of small plates and not so small plates. The wine list is comprehensive and very reasonably priced. Service is extremely friendly - I canβt wait to come back again!β
βWe took my parents to the Elder for a very belated Christmas present and it was a fantastic evening in so many ways: some of the best food weβve ever had combined with very attentive but relaxed service with a smile. We thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish and felt very well looked after. Every course felt like a treat. We look forward to returning sometime soon.β
βWe had the 7 course tasting menu, I had the farm & sea then my partner had the land option which we shared the lot. Thank God we did as it would have been an incredible shame to miss out on some of the dishes! Every single bite was truly incredible, so many levels of flavour and such perfect combinations, truly hats off to the chef. The wine pairing was such a highlight as well, some very unique wines that fitted perfectly with the dishes but were also devine on their own. The service completed the evening, it was so attentive but not at all in your face, they were both very knowledgeable on the dishes and the wines. They also added a really homely, welcoming vibe which was so refreshing. Far too many places doing this level of food have a element of snobbery which can be off putting but not these two, they made us feel so welcomed and created such a warm environ. Without a doubt would visit again and will be recommending to anyone and everyone!β
βWhipped feta and mushroom arancini to start, paella for mains and sorbet to finish, absolutely delicious! Highly reccomend these items.β
βVisited Escala on a Friday night. From the get go the atmosphere was lovely. We had a lovely lady seat us. We ordered a nice bottle of white wine and browsed the menu. The menu has a selection of great choices. Every dish we had was stunning - attached photos with what it is. Really recommend the scallops & sprouts!!β
βI had the haddock with triple cooked chips and my sister had the chicken schnitzel. Loved it.β
βStaff are welcoming and friendly Reasonably priced Breakfast is yummy and massiveβ
βBest in the Weston area, and the only one I consistently return to. Iβve basically given up trying other Indian restaurants now.β
βUpdate: My favorites: Coconut rice+lamb korma(? The third dish from the left)+lential garlic soup ============ Very friendly staff and delicious food! The location is close to the bus stop (2min walk). I look forward to trying the Sunday buffet (2-10pm) next time.β
βI thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. The menu was massive for food and drink and with great choice. All of the food and drink we had was great and the service was very quick and attentive. Will certainly be going back!β
βStopped by for dinner and my first time trying out Somali food. We had fried chickens and pilaf rice. The portion is enough for two. The meat was tender and the skin was 2 die 4!!!β
βJohn and his team are so lovely. The food is made FRESH to order, so it may take a little bit of time if it's busy but it's worth it. We had the veggie breakfast wrap and it was HUGE! The picture doesn't do it justice. They also do homemade cakes which are excellent. Take away is also an option! Highly recommend.β
