The staff, especially a young man named Debon (I think that's his name, though I can't quite remember), were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. Compared to other hardware stores like B&Q or Wickes, Tool Station excels in customer service, making them my go-to choice for all my hardware needs. “I don’t usually write reviews, but today I want to express my appreciation for Halfords Longwell Green. I’ve been struggling with an intermittent stalling issue on my Mercedes CLA— the RPM would rise, but the car wouldn’t move. I visited Mercedes Filton four times, and although they replaced the EGR valve, intake manifold, intercooler, and torque sensor, the problem persisted. Even during my last visit, they couldn’t identify the fault. Feeling hopeless, I went to Halfords for a routine service and shared my frustration with them. That’s when I met Adam, who previously worked at Mercedes Bath. He quickly diagnosed the issue and recommended simply changing the gearbox oil, which had become too sluggish. He also mentioned that checking the oil condition should be standard procedure for this type of transmission issue. After the oil change, the gear shifts feel incredibly smooth, and I feel relieved at last. I’ll keep an eye on the car over the next few weeks, but I’m hopeful the issue won’t return.”

“Came in here today looking for a selection box of biscuits and a shower curtain of up to 1m wide by 2m drop. Unfortunately shops only seem to sell shower curtains of 180x180cm so I will have to go to a popular online retailer to get one of up to 1m wide by 2m drop. But I was able to get the box of biscuits. No queue for a checkout at around 14:00 on a Sunday. Was pleasantly surprised when I got to the till and asked before paying if I could have one of the cheap thin plastic carrier bags for the biscuits that the person serving told me I could have one of those for free, they don't charge for them. I thought all large retailers had to charge for thin plastic carrier bags but presumably B&M dont.”

“I came in for brake pads and somehow left with a renewed sense of purpose and a bag of Haribo. The staff here are like mystical car sorcerers—one guy looked at my reg plate and just knew my car’s entire medical history. I half expected him to pull out a crystal ball and say, “Your timing belt is due... and also, stop ignoring that weird rattle.” They found the exact part I needed faster than I can find matching socks in the morning. One employee even made a pun about gearboxes that I’m still laughing about (I won’t spoil it—you’ll have to go hear it yourself). If you like car parts, good service, and an occasional existential moment while staring at shelves of windscreen wipers, this is your place. Would I come again? Yes. Even if my car doesn't need anything, I might just pop in for the vibes.”

“I stayed here for work recently, two weekends running. It's the ideal spot. Exactly what you need it to be but above everything else, the staff are unbelievably friendly. They couldn't be more helpful actually and on my return the second week, they remembered me. Particular mention goes to Poppy who is just lovely. She is so good at her job and has a lovely, warm nature. Rachael was a diamond. She was so accommodating when our large party arrived for dinner - all absolutely exhausted from a huge work day - we hadn't made a reservation but she made it work and we were all beyond grateful. Finally to Ben, also in the restaurant. He was just lovely and really warm, friendly and patient. 10/10 for customer service. You made a long work spell away from my family that little bit easier. Thank you.”

“My husband and I found Suzzane online after looking for a local florist to do our wedding flowers. We asked for a variety of white and green florals in various forms and she delivered! The flowers were beautiful on the day and really complimented the venue and the atire. Suzzane was more than helpful during our meetings and kindly offered us wooden slices, bows and vases to borrow for the day, free of charge. The flowers were perfect on the day, but have lasted far longer than my expectations, with some bouquets still thriving nearly 3 weeks later (with no care from us as we have been away!) We would recommend!”
