“Room was clean and tidy beds were comfortable and. Was given clean towels everyday By a nice friendly lady also tea, coffee and milk. Was made to feel welcome on arrival. The hotel was nice and relaxing and secure. I would be happy to go again.”
“Great swimming facilities, slides are good fun for both adults and children, three pools ideal for all ages”
“We were met by Lisa on reception. She was so lovely and helpful with biggest smile on her face :)”
“Fantastic facility for Cardiff and the surrounding area. To have a 6-lane 25m pool and a closed road, tarmac velodrome on the same site is extremely rare in the UK & makes for a great sporting hub!”
“Big leisure centre with plenty of everything. Lots of classes included Aqua's my favourite. Friendly helpful staff. Clean and well presented. 10/10”
“Well worth a visit especially if you're a Gavin and Stacey fan, putting Barry Island on the map!”
“Went here for my Covid booster vaccine. Very well run. Easily accessible by public transport. Can catch a number of buses from Blackwood bus interchange including the 151 which stop just outside the old council offices then it a short walk up the hill and the leisure centre is on the first right. The site is run down as it the old iswlyn high school but can't let that rule the positives of the main reason of the visit here today.”
“Visited again today to attend the art exhibition. A nice open area for exhibits. There were a range of paintings, sculptures, prints, photographs and prints on display. We spent about half an hour looking at the art. There is wheelchair access, cafe, street parking nearby, public toilets and a bar available. A great venue located in Weston-super-Mare sea front. Currently being used as an ice scape over Christmas and new year. It is also used for a number of other events including a fairground, music events, art and much more. There is a cafe open all year around at the entrance, disabled access, toilets and street parking (payable to council ) at front of property.”
“My grandson has swimming lessons here. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Classes are really good. My grandson is 10months and is making huge progress in the water. It is amazing that at such a young age he is confident in the water and learning safety in the water.”
“Great range of facilities that cater to all ages and abilities including swimming pools, gym, toning suite, Spa, library, children’s soft play and wall climbing. On site cafe with plenty of seating and a good range of food and drinks that cater for some allergies. Has always been clean upon my visits. Lots of parking with ample disabled spaces. Access to free two hours parking if using the Halo facilities, otherwise pay and display with reasonable fees. Outside play park and fields with an athletics track.”
“Always a good time here. Average prices by today's standards. Visited again recently. Unfortunately the opening hours were very limited, shame considering it's June, and a few of the bigger rides were out of order. Still, the wristbands were cheap enough, so made the most of what was available! Good for little ones!”
“Friendly, safety conscious, inclusive group of fun swimmers and dippers with the added bonus of wonderful WSM sunsets”
“Fantastic. Park and aqua splash pad were great for kids”
“Had a brilliant day. Had the top up card for my children as worked out for us as we were only there a few hours. Had a walk round the market which was okay. Paid £7 for a hat and then saw it cheaper £5 on a stall round the corner. Didn't have to queue long for the rides. Go karts were a favourite for my oldest son. Park was very busy and just needed a little tidy up throughout the day. Toilets were very clean. Amusements were good. Staff friendly and helpful.”
“I used to come to this farm regularly as a child and hadn’t been back for over 20 years since moving away. The farm has grown a lot with more animals and activities, but still has the same charm. The staff were all fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the animals. The enclosures are spacious and well thought out, and it was inspiring to hear about the rescue work of the charity. A special mention goes to Lucy, one of the keepers we met during our visit. Hearing about her hands-on rescue efforts, including personally helping to bring in the chinchillas was truly heartwarming. This farm is perfect for all ages (even those without children) and a must-visit for animal lovers!”
