“Fabulous food. The quality and the taste of the food was excellent. We tried some dishes that we have not had in other Indian restaurants, (Lamb Jamdhani & Korai Kebab Kyberi) we were amazed. Staff are very welcoming and managed to squeeze us in at short notice.”

“Really nice five guys restaurant which is located on a really good strip. Newport road is in the heart of Cardiff and has a range of fantastic shops and restaurants. It had a good service here where staff were helpful and you could see that they were very hard working. It was very quiet on Sunday evening around 6.00 o'clock when I visited. The food was prepared and handed to us in a good time which meant we weren't waiting long. The food was incredible as usual. The drinks machine and condiment area are to the right of the store and the toilets through the doors to the left of the store. The floor was a little slippery however that's the same in the other two five guys I have ever been to. Please be mindful of this especially going to the bathroom. The store accepted cards and cash. The car park was medium sized to the left of the building. The atmosphere was very quiet but that was due to it being not very busy during the time of visit. Overall it was a pleasant visit, good store, nice staff, good service and great tasting food.”

“I recently dined at Ponnuswamy Restaurant and it was phenomenal. The staff were friendly and attentive, and food was the real highlight. Portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. I highly recommend Ponnuswamy restaurant to anyone looking for South Indian cuisine. I’m already planning my next visit.”

“This store caters for Muslims and is 100% halal. The food here was better than expected after planning to visit an alternative restaurant which was small and didn’t have enough seating. There was a party of 8 of us, there was plenty of seating at slam burger. Service was great, menu was easy to understand. Waiting was not an issue and a tag was provided and was ready to pick up when beeping. Restroom was pretty clean for the general area. And lastly meal was enjoyable for everyone except the chicken wings were a little bit on the salty side. Meal costs from £5-12 at time of review which was very affordable. People who leave bad reviews for deliveries can’t expect the food to be perfect… Overall very decent place to eat. Thanks!”

“Just ate here tonight with my 14 year old son. All I can say is wow , brilliant street feel , service excellent & the food was absolutely amazing & good value considering the high quality. “What a great restaurant. Been to the India Gate many times over the years I've lived around the area. Amazing quality Indian food that is surprisingly well priced. Recently I had the chicken tikka masala classic, with onion bhaji starter. Both amazing, sauce that came with the Bhaji was unusual but so so good. Table gets a serving of poppadoms that comes with delicious sauces and toppings Service staff are smartly dressed and efficient. Didn't have to wait for anything despite every table in the place being full. Atmosphere is cosy but professional. Only downside is you may need to book a table because they are always so busy due to their consistent quality through the years.”

“Superb service from The Crispy Catch! Have ordered from here before but usually through the website. Had to call the takeaway this time as there was an issue with web orders. Delivered within 20 minutes, piping hot food that was obviously freshly cooked. Very friendly delivery! Very impressed. Thanks Crispy Catch!”

“We went here as we was totally depressed walking towards The New Theatre with the many chain restaurant options. No thanks. We food this little gem right at the end just across the road from the theatre. Very warm welcome sat down straight away to a table for two. Busy, lively and fun. Service was excellent, fast and attentive. Food was quick to come out but not rushed. Cracking food all round. I personally felt the starters was a bit pricey but was delicious so... Would definitely go again. Clean and tidy through out quick to take plates or empty bottles etc. Excellent meal all round.”

“Had a great time here. My wife had bought us a beer tasting masterclass. OMG, brilliant. Although there should have been us plus 4 others we were told, the 4 didn't turn up, they missed an amazing 2 hours. Our host was a young guy called Seb, he was absolutely great. Not know what to expect, he went through the plan and explained the beers, what they make on site, what they bring in, how the beers are made, history and you are brought 8 thirds to try in order. Time to discuss each one, the colour, the taste, the origin. He was very knowledgeable and really made a great experience, would recommend this masterclass.”

“Booked for lunch. My wife had Spanish meatballs followed by halibut while I had salad, from the salad bar, followed by the home made beef pie. These were the 2 course lunch specials at £24 each. Both were delicious: the pie especially, with very tender meat, rich gravy and a light flakey crust (no pastry shell). Plus 2 drinks each and two coffees. Total cost £65. Excellent value, and excellent service. Highly recommended.”

“Absolutely fabulous meals. We went for my son’s 21st birthday and we were not disappointed Rafi our waiter was superb and when he found out it was Bens birthday he came over with a bag of gifts for him. Thank you we had an amazing experience and the service we received was over and above.”

“Visited King Balti on Saturday (7th September) and was really impressed. The staff were really friendly and were really good with our children. The food came out very quickly after ordering and it was really delicious. The meat was a high standard with very few grisly/fatty bits and the curries were very tasty (keema rezala especially... yum!). I think we have found our new local curry house :-)”

“Excellent service from the gentleman on the desk (didnt quite catch his name). He upgraded both our rooms to executive suites. One was a lot smaller than the other and the fridge in the smaller room wasnt working. However this didnt affect our stay in the slightest. Staff were super friendly, made it easier for conversation as one of us were already dressed up to go out!! Rooms were super clean, tv was of a good size only downfall was we could not connect to the chromecast in any of the rooms. Cant comment on the bar/restaurant as only popped in there for one drink before heading out. But it was lovely and clean and the drinks were nice. The pool was nice, jaccuzzi/hot tub could have been warmer but it was ok. Parking charges are a bit on the high side, but we had a lift there and back. Id definatly reccommend and would stay again but would park elsewhere or catch a train and walk. Honestly though the gentleman on the desk was an absolute gem and hes a credit to your hotel. Cant wait to return.”

“Thumbs up for their pasta. I love it when you can make your own dish, my favorite is simple, pasta and cheese sauce topped with chilli flakes. Or hash brown and cheese sauce with chilli flakes. Warm hearty goodness. They also have a pasta of the month, worth checking out every now and then!”

The facilities were very clean and having noticed the VIP signage on bowling my son mentioned it and the lady was.more than happy to put us there over all lovely place coin machines you can use your card or contactless to get money for the arcade :)”

“Fantastic room clean tidy warm comfortable bed, toilet and shower clean and great pressure from the shower. Staff were brilliant from the time we arrived till we left. Breakfast was hot tasty and plenty to choose from. Excellent base to discover Cardiff”

“There was Friendly and helpful staff on shift. Easy check in/out via the phone . Room was clean and comfortable. Stayed for 2 nights bins were emptied, fresh towels given. Only down fall was there was no water bottles replaced for the 2nd day. Good price when booked with black Friday sale. Overall pleased with our stay, we will be back.”
