“This is one of the best pubs in the Diff!!! Every time we go we love it, we don't intend on staying but we do until the end!!!! Live music atmosphere, and the Boss is an absolute Legend, always busy and he's always smiling and works hard at keeping everyone happy. I've given 5 stars for food that's based on the Irish crisp selection available!!!!”

“Our wedding at The Village Hotel was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The venue itself is beautiful, modern, and incredibly well-kept, creating the ideal backdrop for our special day. From the moment we booked, we felt completely supported and reassured. A huge thank you to Kieran and Sue, who went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly. Kieran’s professionalism, attention to detail, and calm approach kept us feeling relaxed throughout, while Sue’s warmth, friendliness, and endless patience made the planning process a joy. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them, and they truly made us feel like our day mattered just as much to them as it did to us. The food was fantastic, the staff were attentive and welcoming, and the whole atmosphere was perfect from beginning to end. We honestly couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks to The Village Hotel, and especially Kieran and Sue, for giving us memories we will cherish forever. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a flawless wedding venue!”

“Had a great night's sleep here on business. The staff at reception were polite and friendly. I was greeted by an Asian gentleman on arrival. He was very busy booking guests in, but still provided great customer service. The room was clean and tidy. The beefeater next door was fantastic for dinner and breakfast. Will be staying again.”

“Good quiet budget hotel next to the water in Cardiff. Decent rooms with hairdryer, iron (and board!), kettle, decent shower. Breakfast is basic but for the price is fine. No marmite though, which I wasn't happy about. Decent sized carpark for £10 a night. Also a false fire alarm at 715 but that's not their fault - probably some idiot pushing a fire door or vaping in their room.”

“Very spacious room with everything I needed. There seemed to be an adjoining door ... Lots of loud talking coming from that room. Not great sound proofing. Tea tray was ok, but there were no decaf drinks. I did actually go to reception to see if they had any and they gave me decaf coffee... Oh and a hot chocolate, so that was great. They have toiletries in case you forget anything like I did. Need was huge and very comfortable. Plenty of power sockets near the bed.”

“I came here with friends on the weekend and had a wonderful experience. It was easy to find, staff were friendly and added bonus- the sun was out! We did the 45m Bay tour, passing key landmarks such as the Millennium Centre, Pierhead building and Norwegian Church. You can get off at the Barrage where it stops, to do a seaside walk or go for a nice meal before getting back on, or stay onboard to head back to the Bay. As well as unique views of the Bay, we saw other boats and had stunning views over Penarth and the Barrage. There's even a food and drink bar if you fancy it. I have lived in Cardiff my whole life and wish I had done this sooner. If you are a Cardiff resident or planning a visit, this comes highly recommended. Thanks for having us! “We visited the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill several times during our stay in Cardiff, as it was part of the Indigo Hotel. We had breakfast and lunch there while staying at the hotel. The restaurant is centrally located in Cardiff, but it can be a little difficult to spot because it is located on the 6th floor of the Indigo Cardiff. Upon entering, you are greeted by a very stylish and modern restaurant with a lovely grand piano and plenty of seating for drinks before or after your meal. Breakfast was a very pleasant experience. There was a range of options on the continental buffet, and you also get a choice from their breakfast menu. I had "The Favourite," which is smoked salmon, eggs, and avocado on sourdough. It was divine. The continental buffet had everything you would want, including fruits, cereals, pastries, a variety of breads, and more. We then stopped for Sunday lunch, which I have to say was absolutely fantastic. I started with French onion soup, which was sensational. Then, my husband and I both had the Sunday roast. There was so much of it that I couldn't quite believe it when it was delivered to the table. There was so much meat, and the beef was amazingly tender. There was pretty much every side you could want, including Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, roast potatoes, and a huge array of vegetables, including amazing cauliflower cheese. The service was also fantastic from start to finish. The whole team was highly professional and approachable. I personally cannot fault anything that we had, and every aspect was top quality. I would certainly recommend a visit if you're looking for a fantastic Sunday roast—but make sure you come hungry!”

    ibis budget Cardiff Centre

    ★★★☆☆ 3.7
    Open

“For a budget hotel, this ibis strongly exceeds expectations. When I came, breakfast was £6 a head for all you can eat. Staff were kind and considerate. 5* for service but mainly due to the lack of expectations. I do not expect amazing service in a budget hotel but feel we still got more than we paid for. Double room is reasonably sized, excellent shower facilities and spacious enough if all you plan to do is sleep or surf the internet. Location is great, a five minute walk from the City Centre, and 7 minutes walk from where the coach gets in. Absolutely fantastic, and £38/night. Great weekend, thank you all.”

“Thank you to all the staff. A special shout-out to the manager, Alan, for kindly keeping hold of my son’s cuddly toy for the best part of six months. As we live far away, we did not expect the hotel to keep it for so long, and we are extremely grateful. Our stay was very comfortable, but it was the staff who added that extra layer of welcome and hospitality. Thank you also to Cion (I hope I’ve spelt that correctly). My wife phoned the hotel ahead of my arrival to arrange collection. Although she couldn’t get through initially, Cion returned the call — something that rarely happens these days. She truly went above and beyond to help, and we are very thankful.”

“Everything in the apartment you need, staff who run it are exceptional! So very helpful currently in Zebulun suite which we have found a little small for a family of three, more suited to a lone visitor or couple, that said we will certainly be coming back we will just ensure we book a bigger suite, location is excellent, plenty of shops in easy walking distance, and as I said the staff could not be more helpful , exceptional service throughout”

“Absolutely the best teriyaki chicken and noodles I've ever had! Haven't even finished eating as I just had to write a review, lots of chicken and mushrooms and the box is stuffed full, very hot even over an hour after I left the shop with my order, yummy! Sorry I didn't think to take a picture until I'd eaten half because I wasn't expecting the best meal ever!”

“Absolutely fantastic night !!!! The staff were amazing, the comedians were awesome considering as the last one had to compete with the screams and cheers of Welsh fans as we beat England at rugby, they took it in their stride and joined in! The food was good and service impecable. Would fully recommend you give this a go, we went as a hen party of 10 and I think I speak for all that we had an absolute scream. Fantastic value for money plus you get VIP entry to Prysm afterwards!”
